Glittering Wish is to Future Sight as Akroma and Damnation were to Planar Chaos. A solid, cheap wish, although it might lose a lot of Standard relevance once Ravnica rotates out.
I like it. Shame my luck won't allow me to get it off boosters, and I'm not paying outragerous amounts of money on it.
the wishes looks like a fun card to play around with in project X and maybe g/w , it will see play. The magus seems ok but it will probally not see much play
Okay, so we have Storm and a Wish in type two and they have built the colours in such a way that it's almost impossible to create a type 2 viable TPS. (And a Lotus variant, and mana accel are also in the environment).
TPS is one of the scariest deck concepts in T1, and for good reason... T2 swap a cunning wish back and forth a bunch of time and then tendrils with storm FTW. (Or Brain Freeze).
GW locks out all tutor variants from black, draw craziness from blue and the storm itself from Red. So a 3 colour deck would be required.... but there isn't enough mana washing to make that work.
They've actually done the (seemingly) impossible... printed several cards that should cumulativly shut down the environment that will be able to coexist peacefully.
Wow, this has to be my favorite card in FS. My glare deck might actually be competitive. Now we know two of the multicolor (This and Sliver Legion). Sorry if this has been posted before, but I think this would be pretty cool:
? Wish UBR
Sorcery Rare (FS)
Choose a monocolored card you own from outside the game,
reveal that card, and put it into your hand.

Hello Glittering Wish. Welcome to the Prismatic Singleton banned list.
Shyeah, tell me about it. It might even see restriction in Vintage too if someone manages to find a way to abuse it.
That card will see a big dollar value like its Living, Burning & Cunning cousins.
Art for the Magus doesn't seem to fit the card. Big burly guy with flowers floating out behind him. Kinda resembles Quasimodo in a Singles Bar promoting Axe or Tag body spray.
Excellent cards...unfortunately only one will see any decent play

I think they made the Wish :symw::symg: not for power reasons, but for the flavor reason that if you had to pick one two-color combination to best represent the concept of "cooperation", white green would be it. And cooperation is the soul of the concept of multicolored cards.
More or less. Think of it this way though: :symg::symw: have always gotten the hard searches, in the form of Altar of Bone & Eladamri's Call. This wish seems to fit the bill exactly.
The wish, while exciting, is just watered down in color. Standard probably won't play it based on what's out there right now. No cards worth fetching are sideboard worthy. Would have been super sweet to wish for Shadow of Doubt, now its a possible Project X smoother or Glare or Giant Solifuge, but really for those....why bother. Now that I have my Selesnya Guildmage I can pwn! :/ Heres to hoping for new buddies for it.
Magus of the Vineyard is sick. Unstable, but sick.
hahahahha. when i saw the new wish i was like..."wtf. they're pushing multicolor AND monocolor? stupid wizards." and yet it's a very welcome addition to uh....two decks? like so it helps project X and it allows random hybrid decks to have a little more substance like RGW control or UGW snakes, etc.
this is going to be the money rare of this set. but not damnation status. not even burning wish status.
This wish is a very strong card. it is goining to be big in some deck, and worth a lot.

So when are we getting the multi-color wrath?? Lol
We got it a year ago; it's called Culling Sun. I don't see any WGB deck that could use that in a toolbox, though. Maybe something like a return of Ghost Dad (who is also in the toolbox), but I doubt that deck concept would be very competitive.

New Webcomic -- Genocide Man Life is funny. Death is funnier. Mass slaughter can be hilarious.
Ug...why does everyone think this will be so good...
there are not many decks based around multicolored cards, and those that are don't run green and white. Worst possible colors to put it in, although I can see myself being wrong due to new archetypes. And because of non-t2 formats, which I'm into a bit. I am also concerned that it won't be good after rav rotates.
I really wish (pardon the pun) that they could have put this in ravnica.
i suppose that Glittering Wish will be into all rock decks, it can take pernicious deed and more from your sideboard
Well, that is questionable. It sure allows for a lot of options, but rock-type decks in extended like to either splash blue for Gifts ungiven or red for Destructive flow. Some already use Living wish. Time will tell how powerful the Glittering wish interaction with the deck itself will be. Loxodon hierarch and Vindicate are strong reasons, though.

Magus of the Vineyard looks like it can be tons of fun in Casual, and might find a home in my Hypergenesis deck... It's party time! Not to mention the chance of inflicting random mana burn on opponents is awesome!
And Glittering Wish looks incredible. I'm a big G/W fan and I've always wanted to play a Wish card. I hope I get the chance to get it though. I'm dying to say, "I wish for Glare of Subdual" while I play this.
I'm willing to bet that they would both be quite expensive though. And that's a shame.
Oh, and Wizards seems to be giving Ravnica one last shot at Standard before it cycles out.
I participate yearly in a survival challenge in which I am dropped off in the wilderness with 1 days rations, a knife, and no other supplies, and have to find my way home. This is typically several weeks hiking from civilization.
I have personally killed several bears in the course of this challenge, with the use of snares and other traps.
Glittering Wish just made my Glare deck even funner to play How much will these go for? I'm guessing $5-$10, maybe $7? I can't wait to use this in casual and wish for random cards I own. Unfortunately, at FNM you can only wish for cards in your SB...
EDIT: For casual, this plus Joiner Adept should be fun! You can wish yourself out of almost any situation
give your opponent mana burn at 1? wow. that's crazy good! the only thing about it is that i doubt you could usethe ability at an advantage either. maybe if you really try... but it would be difficult. still, i can see this card in combo decks. this card can definitely please a spike if in the right enviroment.
I like it.
Shame my luck won't allow me to get it off boosters, and I'm not paying outragerous amounts of money on it.Vineyard magus was already known, etc.

Although green is weak, this may be good enough for a splash. Fetching those Rav hotties.....
But wait! Rav is cycling out. So.....WTF??? This can be awesome in legacy, but I don't expect this to see much play.
However, I love combo decks so...I'll build a deck out of it anyways.
