I didnt really know where to ask this, but I remember seeing a post on here yesterday with pics of cards, one of which had the supposed art for the Lancer. One of the other cards on there was Magus of the Future. But now I cant find it on here, did I miss something where these were found as fake? I only ask cause there were also known cards in the pic.
On Topic. This guy's nothing special, not really a fantastic pic in limited, W/R is very strong, and it's already got Benalish Cavalry
A couple of the cards in that picture had obvious errors (I believe the biggest was "Cutthroat il-dal" being spelled "Cutthroath il-dal"). I suppose the thread got deleted.
As for the real Bogardan Lancer. He's alright, nothing great, but not horrible either.

Making contraptions, wishing I could make them twice as efficiently.
Sadly, this set was probably designed before Bloodthirst in Ravnica was truly responded to by the player base.
Therefore, this card has fallen along the side of 90% of the other bloodthirst cards.
"Oh sweet, if I get it bloodthirsty, then my otherwise weak 2 CMC creature turns into...a Benalish knight? Wait, couldn't I have just gotten a Darn Benalish knight, and not had to deal with the possiblity of it being a really bad two drop?"
Sigh. Same route that all the Bloodthirsters were originall, if they were over 3 CMC. Couldn't they have at least made it a 1/2 base? Please?
1/2 would make this trade with bears just like Benalish Cavalry when attacking. It would hit for 2 only with bloodthirst, but in combat it'd be quite similar.
We just have to accept that Red < White when it comes to efficient weenies. You need to hit a player first if you want your red Benalish Cavalry. That's just the way it goes.
I must say, too, that after Planar Chaos, it's nice to see some respect to the Color Pie. This is the way it should be.

Blood Knight is the first thing to come to mind...
