If there are more rebel reanimators, someone will probably make standard competitive rebels! That will be annoying to get beaten by. Sure, there are some good rebels, but they are going to be one of those things unsolved by a few good damnations or wrath of gods. Scary!

With all, put the same thing except with / in front of what type of tags they are (like [/card]) to close them.
Card: [card]
Hybrid: :symub: = order doesn't matter
- The timeshifted cards fall into three categories - 1) Cards or concepts they know they are doing in the future; 2) Concepts they'd like to do in the future (but may not) and 3) "red-herrings," concepts they have no plans to use in the future.
This card definately feels like #3. It's a look into Mercadia's future, but probably not a place that will be explored in future sets.
I suspect this is showing us a future in which the term "permanent card" refers to anything which would be a permanent when in play.
Also, "el por que de su nombre" translates directly to "the why of its name", or "the reason for its name"... "the meaning" seems like a poor translation.
I guess, in the future, Ramos has been forgetten for a good while now. In fact, even today I have no idea what Ramos is, except that it appears on two cards named "Tooth of Ramos" in my trade binder.
I don't know if anybody's seen the card's wording in English yet, because the translation is different that what the flavor text actually says. The flavor text should be rendered thus:
"The Ramosian tradition lives on, but the reason for its name was forgotten long ago."
The translation for the effect is pretty much spot-on.
Is this card a scan or a mockup based on leaked info? It has the same problem with the title font that the mockup image of Shivan Meteor did.
Note I'm not saying the card is fake, I'm just questioning the source of the image. The title font isn't quite the same as the title font on regular Magic cards or the font that we've already seen on Virulent Sliver.
On another note, why black title text for white "futureshift" cards and white title text on the green and black ones? They didn't bother using two different text colours for the "planeshifted" cards, e.g. Calciderm. While I have no problem with the rest of the futureshifted frames I'd rather they stuck with black text all around.

Red-Herring, or yet another try to make rebels competive. I don't care much for Mercadia, but in the Scourge novel it was visited by Karona and looked like there was something going on. Maybe it was a red-herring back then too?
I could see this, but something about the card seems off to me.
It's too early to say whether or not this is real... but... I don't know. Something about it seems odd.
It also strikes me as rather unlikely that we'd see such a direct leak for a future set. This card, based on the name, would mean 100% that we'll see Mercadia in the future. I was under the impression that the future shifts were intended to showcase some of what we'll see, without making anything TOO specific.
Edit: Uhm; Isnt That the site we got the fake Shivan Meteor from last season?
My speculation about why this says 'Rebel permanent card': They're gonna free some space up and condense "artifact, creature, enchantment, or land card" into "permanent card". So permanents might not be exclusive to the play zone much longer. Sounds like there are gonna be noncreature Rebels too, but that's something we've suspected since the Sliver Legion scan. If this card's real, than we can't chalk this up to coincidence anymore; on one card a typo can slip through, on two cards it becomes clearer that this may be the way they intended it. A third card, and we can take it for confirmed, IMO.
Thou shalt not have others of the same Legendary before me Thou shalt not frame images with the modern card face Thou shalt not change rules in vain Remember the Reserved List to keep it holy Honor thy Slivers and the symmetry of their abilities Thou shalt not kill mana burn Thou shalt not sacrifice depth for accessibility Thou shalt not steal combat damage from the stack Thou shalt tell a story through thy cards All must be one

That's good speculation, but really, this change is so unexpected and strange (dangerous, even), I don't know if you can call it.
If "permanent card" means what you say it does, what about "Sliver creature"? Why does that mean "object in play of type creature and of type Sliver"?
And, here's the big question - what, exactly, will be used to refer to objects in play?!??!

WHY ITS NOT 3 MANA COST!WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Whats the point of making a A rebel,if its not 3 mana costeD
Because the timeshifted rebel Defiant Vanguard finds up to CMC 4 creatures, and as of yet there had not been any CMC 4 rebels in TS block. Finally he appears as at least slightly useful because of this. A rebel deck should definitely be running at least one Defiant Vanguard and one of these to pull a Lin-Sivvi. Later in the game you can repeatedly recurse your rebels (especially Aven Riftwatcher, with its self termination, for a great repeating lifeboost).

the art has really been top notch so far for this set... i guess I'm a little disappointed with this one's picture. it doesn't look like it belongs to MTG, but A Game Of Thrones instead. this picture just doesn't seem right, but who knows, maybe Lowryn is sort of a throwback to horses/swords/ladies in waiting type theme.
From where we got it a second time (the first time, it came from Avalak).
And in case anyone forgot, Shivan Meteor was real, if only a mockup.
I'm talking about the first shivan meteor.
The one that had 'Deals 5 damage to target player. that player skips their first turn'.
Incase anyone forgot, we had several different versions of the card show up. Only the last one was real.
Edit: Ardvark, no one is saying "We'll never see Merdadia again!" What people are saying is, "How unlike Wizards to make it so clear what a future set would be." This card could easily have been the same thing with a different name. Heck; It could even have kept the flavor text it has now, and not guarenteed a future set.
The card is real. We don't post fakes on our website.
This is not a leak either, it's an official preview we were assigned to publish.
We have already had some official previews before the Planar Chaos' release, if you check the links below you'll see they are all real cards. There was a problem at that time because some websites published some images similar to those before our official previews, and that's why somebody might have thought that it was our site that had published fakes or leaks.

2/2s for 4 aren't competative. If they are, they need to provide massive card advantage. This... provides a massive waste of mana.

Right, that's where the whole "the future isn't written" aspect comes in --if there's a future Mercadia set, or another rebel set, in the future they can point to this card, but it could just as easily be a dead end.
i would say - an over costed ability ... it would be better fo 4 mana ...
but mayb - making it fo 6 mana is reasonable - cas otherwise rebels would b indestructable ...

Could be a limited mid-high pick though...but then again, depends on how many rebels are there in FS.... few TS rebels are that worthy....
