On a slightly different note, maybe the army of akroma's idea was beacuse there is going to be a mirror gallery type of card, allowing oyu to have 4 of each akroma out?
Maybe there will be an akroma tutor?
I think the card we already have is bassically it.

It looks like an artifact. Maybe its a golem-like statue that can be turned into an Akromaesqe creature or something like this:
Akroma's Memorial 7
Legendary Artifact 7 ,Sacrifice Akroma's Memorial: Creatures you control gain flying, first strike, trample, haste, protection from red and black, and +2/+2 until end of turn. "Her fierce beauty awed us; her ferocity in battle frightened our enemies. Here is the sword of the angel. May it grant you the blessings of our patron saint Akroma, Angel of Wrath."-Kiron I, first Bishop of the church of Akroma
Thats again on the same principles. Making an army of Akroma's does not mean Wizards would make an undercosted card. Remember when they said ''A spell that does 5 damage for one red mana''. All over various boards there was ''leaked information'' about some super red spell and how Wizards was pushing red. We got Lightining Axe, a card which limits to creatures and has an additional cost. Remember, Maro/Mago play with words. As for the Sliver Legion, i posted in the other thread about that.
Im sorry, that doesnt hold water, becuase Seds spoiled Lightning Axe as written today while all the otehr sites were dropping super Lightning Bolt.
So you actually gave our arguement more water with that statement, and yours less.
And how is Memorial undercosted? You still need the creatures in play, you still need to keep it from being killed with Krosans Grip, Putrefy or any other artifact destruction, the creatures are still able to be Wrathed off the Table, killed in responce or bounced.
There are better things to be done with 7 mana, like I dont know, play an Angel of Despair, Debtors' Knell or wait a turn and play a real, honest to God Akroma.
Seriously, build a deck right now, that will warp the format with this card as spoiled. You do that and I'll believe you. I think you will find that its just on this side of impossible to even make a playable deck using it, let alone one that will "Warp the Format".

Making an army of Akroma's does not mean Wizards would make an undercosted card.
Remember, when you play Akroma, you get more than a fistful of fun abilities, you get a 6/6 to attach them all to. A 6/6 ought to cost six mana, so all those abilities combined on Akroma only cost... two mana. Undercosted in my opinion, but there you go. Giving one creature a two-mana set of abilities ought to cost 14 mana? I don't think so. 7 mana is fine for something that doesn't actually even effect the field on it's own. Remember that old set of cards that just made you win the game straight up if you fulfill the condition? They only cost 4-5 mana. 7 mana to make it likely to win if you fulfill the condition of "have a pretty good army" is not only not overpowered, but I'd be shocked if it ever saw competitive play. Your version is just horrifically bad.

Does this mean that Spiritmonger's abilities cost negative mana? I wouldn't go by any sort of 6/6 for 6 mana rule. 6/6's cost all kinds of mana. See Amugaba and Arctic Nishoba for example. Or the entire Avatar cycle (Avatar of Woe for example).
7 mana to make you win is not so horrific. Platinum Angelsaw competitive play and she costs 7 and doesn't win you the game, she just makes it "likely". On the other hand, Spiritmonger, perhaps one of the most undercosted creatures ever, never saw heavy competitive play despite being arguably one of the best beaters ever.
Akroma's Memorial, as spoiled on the FS info thread, is a perfectly fine win condition, especially in limited. In constructed it could easily see play in any sort of token generation deck or slivers.

As far as the argument of 6/6 mana costs... I think Vizzerdrix and Trained Orgg pretty much define what a 6/6 with no abilities would cost. Just me though, just me.
And while I may not know a whole lot about Tournament worthy cards (I still say Acr-Slogger is the biggest waste of cardboard ever), even I know that Spiritmonger saw a good amount of play. I can't say the same will happen for the Memorial, but it is likely. Specially if there is a way to speed it out there.. Like you know.. With rituals or something. Man.. I'd hate to see someone ritual that thing out a couple turns early. Sure am glad there ain't no rituals in red, the color with Goblins. Crap.
Funny side thought, with this and Akroma, Angel of Fury in play, you can have a super Akroma that don't take no crap from nothin but ggreen and *** effects.

Making an army of Akroma's does not mean Wizards would make an undercosted card.
Undercosted? What are you talking about? Akroma's Memorial isn't even a good card. Only one of the abilities (flying) actually increases the damage you are likely to do on a given attack, and one (haste) is actively un-synergistic with the 7-cost artifact. It will basically never win you a competitive 1-on-1 game that you could not have won much more cheaply with, say, Skyshaper.
It boggles my mind that people in this thread are taking an expensive, Timmy-only, cool but useless card like this and trying to invent less playable variations of it.
akroma's sword on a statue. I've got my money on artifact that grants one of the akroma abilities.
welcome to the party, if a bit late and a bit miss-informed.
Im with 'quin, its actually too expensive. it would only be slightly playable at 5 mana. there is still the fact you ahve to have creatures in play to make it worth while. It could grant them all double strike and fear and untargetability, its worthless with zero creatures in play.
Even more so when you do all that to put it in play, and I just Puterfy it and then extirpate it from your Deck. Damnation your board clear and finish you off with a real finisher, like Skeletal Vampire.

Leyasu, quite frankly, you are becoming tiresome, and what is worse, you are ignoring the sheer fact that (I am going to point it again, because you either overlooked it or chose to ignore it) seds and others DO NOT LEAK INFO UNLESS THEY HAVE CONFIRMATION FROM MORE THAN ONE INDEPENDENT SOURCES.

And "undercosted"? Do I hear you well? 7 mana for artifact that does nothing by itself, is unplayable in constructed and only remotely in Limited? Yeah, for casual it is a Timmy's dream, but nothing else.

This card right now does not interact well, speaking in terms of Flavor, with the pre-existing Akroma's. This is a point a lot of people are overlooking when they have artifacts that power-up all of your creatures. The ability would have to be something more like:
"Non-legendary creatures you control..."
Or something along those lines. The alternative is to make it a targeted ability as mentioned before. Flavor is an important element in cards, especially a card like this. They will not make a card that makes no sense.

That appears to be the art for Akroma's Memorial, first highlighted by 'seds in his "bits of info coming together" thread. I believe it reads:
Akroma's Memorial
Legendary Artifact
Creatures you control gain flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, haste, protection from black, and protection from red.
That should satisfy the "rule of three" debate about Akroma that's been raging. Nifty art, too.
Haha... that'd be such an I-Win card in limited if you could manage getting it out in time.

Hey look at it this way, it makes red Akroma into a red/white Akroma, and white Akroma into a pale Akroma.
Actually this card is very in Flavor. The whole idea is that it is a Memorial to Akroma, who has been dead for roughly 100 years. The Red Akroma, while from a different timeline, would stillhave died a hundred yaers ago when Karona came around. The thought process is that Akroma was such a prfound force that even after she has been dead for a century, she is still able to inspire greatness in to those willing to worship her. Remember, Time Spiral Block is in the future of Dominaria. (Well, it'd be the present now, but it is the future from the perspective of Onslaught block.)
