It's definately Akroma, and she looks like a statue, to me. I'm not sure if it's an artifact creature or just a statue of her. Either way, her sword isn't made of stone like the rest of her, which is a cool touch.
Wow, this brings up some very interesting thoughts. It's most likely a token generator, as we know that you'll be able to make an army of Akroma's with future sight... or maybe I'm completely off. Very interesting to see where they take this and if it as playable as the other two are.
That appears to be the art for Akroma's Memorial, first highlighted by 'seds in his "bits of info coming together" thread. I believe it reads:
Akroma's Memorial
Legendary Artifact
Creatures you control gain flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, haste, protection from black, and protection from red.
That should satisfy the "rule of three" debate about Akroma that's been raging. Nifty art, too.
An artifact Akroma... the creature itself is gone, but the sword (her powers) live on?
Yeah, as others have said, Seds posted about this in another thread.
Akroma's Memorial -
Legendary Artifact (R)
Creatures you control have flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, haste, protection from black, and protection from red.
Shame on me if I fail to realize what this would mean flavor-wise for Future Sight. Maybe someone/something could come across the sword, pull it from her stone grasp and the Akroma legacy would live on? Not quite sure, although this would have to stem from one of the Planar Chaos alternate timelines considering...well wasn't she part of Karona for a while and then when Karona split, what hapened to Akroma? Ayyeeeeee....
It'll probably come down to however they decide to explain it in the flavour text.
But in her life, Akroma was very influential to a great number of people. So it stands to reason that after death, a monument would be built to her, perhaps even religions. Maybe to the point where her followers have empowered themselves to her level somehow. Fits just fine in the proper timeline.
Being essentially an illusory being, after Karona's destruction, Akroma probably ceased to exist, or possibly her power merged with Jeska during her ascension to Planeswalker-dom.
That is deffenatly a Artifact and that is deffenatly Akroma as a statue. Im sure at the end of the Time Spiral books witch would be Future Sight that Akroma dies and they have a Memorial statue that is in memory of her. The sword is glowing like it is not part of the statue so I think the sword its self doest the work for the new card that will be coming out. (Akroma's Memorial) does sound like a reasonable name for the card and as a Artifact it might be a equipment and I cant see the card beeing a creature because there is no creature it is just a statue and maybe it can be an enchantment.

Jaharu, we already have the card for this, so "an idea straying from yeah this is a statue" is pointless. We KNOW it's a statue of her, and we know what the card does, and even what it costs.
Anyway, from what I remember I think the storyline gurus said that Akroma was destroyed in the blast that turned Phage into Karona, so there was nothing of her to come back. But didn't the gurus also say something about Teferi planning to go to Otaria to fix the rifts there? If so, then this would be the first time we've seen the Otarian continent since Scourge, which means that they could quite likely have a religion based around akroma, or something like that... or the statue could be placed in the location where karona was created to mark the battle, just like I seem to remember a card that had a shot to a memorial of those who fell at the battle of Apocalypse.
The only thing you know for definate about this card CX is that its artwork is of a statue of Akroma, Angel of Wrath. You have nothing more than speculation, as does Jahrua. Also, if anybody had paid attention to any of Maro/Mago's articles, you would know they wouldnt make a seven mana artifact granting several abilities to all creatures.
The only reasonable conclusion, that makes sense given the speculation and known information from Mago and Maro, is that the card would look something alike this:
Akroma's Memorial 7
Legendary Artifact - Equipment (Rare)
Equipped creature has Flying, First Strike, Trample, Haste, Protection From Black, Protection From Red
Equip 7
'Insert whatever flavour text here'
That is based on how cards mana cost and ability to mana ratio's are worked out. For those intrested the snypsosis is below:
Its an artifact, granting abilities into colours that do not normally have them. Thus, all the colours will be able to play it. Also, this is a 'game win' card, and Wizards does not make them unless that paying the mana cost allows you to practically win. The reason they would make such a high mana cost and equip cost is because A) It gives your opponent a chance to react to the card, and B) The card is not an enchantment and so stays in play should the creature die.
Your forgetting that one of the big wigs at Wizards for Magic has said in FS you will be able to build an army of Akromas, the card, as spoiled by seds fullfills this need. The card you say it should be, does not, in any way.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.
As for an idea with the flavor aspect of the card and its art, it could be the statue is old, like 100 years or so according to Freyalise in the TS book I think. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong on that one. I don't have the book at my house so I can't check to be sure.)
So the statue itself is old, but the sword, her sword, still has the power once wielded by its former owner, thus the falling apart of the statue and the glowitude of the sword.
What is strange is the art suggests an equipment, and we know that to not be the case.

The fact that the sword is distinct from the rest of the statue draws attention to the sword, but that doesn't necessarily mean the sword is equipment. It's symbolic: here lies Akroma's power, the vessel by which her will was realized. (Or rather, Ixidor's will. Whatever.)
Just because a thing looks like a creature doesn't mean it is. I suspect the same is true of things that look like equipment--as Akroma's Memorial demonstrates.

If your signature takes up more lines than your actual post does, you should fix one or both of them.
The best thing about this picture is the crumbling state of the statue. Gives me hope that I'll never see Akroma again. That said, FS is said to be a "glimpse into the future expansion" that could mean that we'll actually see another one in a few years. Akroma is becoming something like a sliver, everyone gets excited about it, few play it, and finally most get bored by it.

It can be easily used in casual in elves decks, or in some sort of deck like the ones in the onslaught block era, which ramped up mana and threw these big things at you.
Furthermore, animate it with March of the Machines, and you've got one serious beater.

Leyasu, whereas I found your points more or less correct, you are mistaken in your conclusion. But your view of the situation lacks one important factor . It's not your fault, is is just a result of the fact tha you are a newcomer here.
Seds wouldn't give the card out unless he has a confirmation from various sources. If he's leaking this, it is 99% correct.
So, you just have to learn to live with both the Sliver Legion and this memorial.

On a slightly different note, maybe the army of akroma's idea was beacuse there is going to be a mirror gallery type of card, allowing oyu to have 4 of each akroma out?
Maybe there will be an akroma tutor?

A truly great petition
Definatly the statue that allows you to "build your army of Akromas".
Hope its reasonably costed, I would sure like to attack with a bunch of Akroma Saprolings.
Akroma, Angel of Platinum 10
Protection from Green
Akroma has Flying, Haste and Trample
You cannot lose the game and your opponents cannot win the game.
5/5
Perhaps, but it's not. It's 99% the Akroma Memorial.
So, we can take the info as almost confirmed. Cool
Though I must say that I liked the red Akroma in the PC ad much more. Grey Akroma is less sexy than red one.

It would be like Levitation, Knighthood, Serra's Blessing, Primal Rage, Fervor, Absolute Grace, and Absolute Law all rolled into one. And it's not even an enchantment, as all the rest are - it's an artifact. And we're talking about a total cost of :symg:.
.
Read threads before posting.
I like the art, it certainly is interesting.
Hopefully official info will come soon too.
