It think what me cool is if they have Magus be based on enchantments, but the enchantments be originally multi-colored and have the magus that copies be in one of the colors (though the magus could be gold I suppose). If I remember right there were some great gold enchantments in Invasion, though I am at work and can't check.
I don't think the Magus have to be using future mechanics.
That's in addition to my idea that they will probably give them alternate card frames.
I think this is pretty likely. Both sets of Timeshifted cards so far have different frames from the remainder of the set they appear in; that would imply that Future Sight would follow the same principle. If it's going to have a "future" frame, it'd make sense for it to be one that is rolled out "for good" not too long afterwards (perhaps in 10th Edition.)
Like someone said earlier, Spells with legs are called Spellshapers.
they have already done Artifacts, its Enchantments, all but confirmed it when he said we have done Artifacts, Lands already, and the types are Artifacts, Lands, Enchantments, etc etc.
Besides, its the obvious place to go.
On top of that, I want me Some Necropotence with legs.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.

Please, oh please, let them be Necro, Survival, and Sneak Attack! I really don't care what the others are (although Moat would be really sexy).
I'll be very disappointed if they "pre-print" cards and don't just bring mechanics from future blocks. The idea of pre-printing is pretty dumb because that means the cards are new now, and when they come out in the blocks they're supposed to be in they will just be reprints so they won't be exciting.

Why does 'spell-on-legs' have to be a spellshaper?
The spellshaper creature type is a creature that turns one spell into another, which is why you have to discard a card as part of the cost.
In general if a creature generates it's own spell(as opposed to feeding off one of yours), it makes up for the fact you're not using up a card to generate the effect with an additional cost.
So, why not a cycle of Magi with spell effects? Why not magi with cip abilities? Or magi with activated abilities that replicate spells? Or Magi based on old-school enchantments?
I think that the purpose of the cycle of Magi is more about nostalgia than to have a clear cut set of rules in which the cycle must fall.
<WotC_Devin> The smartest Magic predictors look at the kinds of trends we continue, and the kind we don't. With a cycle of Magus creatures in TSP that have the exact test of old powerful artifacts, and a cycle of Magus creatures in PLC that have the exact text of old powerful lands, what could possibly be left for Future Sight? Here's a hint: The types in Magic are artifact, creature, enchantment, instant, sorcery, and land....
He didn't spell out the one other possible item that they could have looked at....
At the very worst, it will be a few cards in the set, it is won't be as bad as, for example, someone having a dislike of artifacts and being forced to play during Mirrodin block, or something like that.
If they make it for Sorceries (incredibly doubt it) this would be a really fun card:
Magus of Shahrazad WW
Creature - Human Wizard Rare
Tap: Players play a MAGIC subgame, using their libraries as their decks. Each player who doesn't win the subgame loses half his or her life, rounded up.
"In the past a lost land held strong... Today I use it's powers as a rememberance"

It seems so obvious to me. Preprints and Flips. The Flipped card is from the future. Time counters make some flip. In the future sets, we will get these cards with different mana costs. Write it down.
Magus of the Eve 2BB
Creature - Wizard
Vanishing 2
When you sacrifice ~, each player returns all other creature cards from his or her graveyard to play.

Guys, with the "army of Akromas" thing, I'm fully expecting it to be not another legend, shifted into another colour. Time Spiral (past) brought the old one back. Planar Chaos (present) gave us a reimagined Akroma, fitting the set's "now, but different" theme. Future Sight, being, well, the future, will probably give us something to do with what would become of Akroma. Well, Akroma died. So I'm expecting something in reference to perhaps the following that Akroma gathered. Something like:
Angelic Wrath :2mana::symw::symw::symw:
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant Creature
Enchanted Creature gets +2/+2 and has Flying, First Strike, Trample, Haste, and Protection from Red and Black.
If Angelic Wrath would be put into your graveyard from play, instead shuffle it into your library.
Or
Sword of Angel's Fury
Artifact - Equipment
Equip :3mana::symw::symw::symw:
Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has Flying, First Strike, Trample, Haste, and Protection from Red and Black.
And maybe some flavour text indicating the devout following that Akroma's presence had gathered that hasn't faded over the centuries, yadda yadda.

Yawgmoth's Bargain Magus and Opposition Magus?
I think Necro/Opp is the least broken mix.

You missed Raging River, as that was errata in the Oracle to become an Enchant World.

I cant think of two more different Artifacts then Cursed Scroll and Nevinyrral's Disk.
Or two more Different Lands then Arena and Cabal Coffers.

But was later removed, current wording read as simply Enchantment, not World Enchantment.
Personally I'd enjoy it if they printed the cards as Aura - Enchant World. LOL.
They were the same types, though. There wasn't one Magus that was an Equipment, or one that was a basic land.
