If you look right now on magicthegathering.com, they have quite an interesting little hologram thing going. It shows Wrath of God, then morphs into a card called "Damnation" which costs 2BB and does the same thing.
Could they have finally printed a black Wrath?
EDIT: Thanks to Lone Wolf for the pic, I added it to the first post.
Almost cried with happiness when I saw it, then cried more about how pricey it would be. Fantabulous-black mass removal. sure replaces sudden spoiling well. i'll stop now, this thing requirees no comments.
but how do oyu know it's planeshifted?
No doubt it's real btw.
EDIT: IT"S REAL, CHECKED THE ORB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My browser didn't do the hologram thing, when I went to Wotc after 11pm cst per usual, it was aready loaded, right smack in the middle. When I went back adn refreshed it, it then did the start with WoG--->Damnation little flash thing.
10th edition plant as a replacement for WoG? If that happened I would KISS MARO'S FEET! Wrath BELONGS in black, always has, the haters have finally received their comeuppance!
Hmmm, is this the beginning of a very powerful b/w control deck?
With that said, I don't like it. Druidic Vow was cool because it cheated the color pie while flavorfully making sense. This card is just a clone, down to the last letter. I would've been happier if they had just reprinted Mutilate.
Holy god. I think I'm gonna go get downMarvin Gaye style on my wife after seeing this... I've never been more turned on.
Well, I tell a lie, but's it's pretty damned close to orgasmic for MBC. Finally, I don't have to play white anymore! (Mono Black control is my baby). Mutilate was a godsend back in the day, but this... well this is perfection.
i thing 'wow' is an appropriate reaction.
oh and @ all the people who have been complaining about the color wheel in PC, most of the planeshifted cards we've seen have actually been perfectly valid color shifts.
I guess I am the lone dissenter here but Mutilate was one this. This is a whole other animal. I rarely post here but a black Wrath of God that will be around for years spells bad things about the state of magic, as far I am concerned. Giving the different colors the same abilities leads to the "just pick a color conundrum" discussed before. Just limited it to one set doesn't really change much, as far as I am concerned.
Shark jump much? No really, and this does not spell doom for the game but it does seem like a mistake to me.
Yes, I didn't say jumped the shark. Why? Because "jumped the shark" has jumped the shark.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.
