My store just got our arena kits today and I was happy to see that they did an awesome promo for this season.
I have no Idea what the second promo will be or if there will be a second one (like guildpact) Does anyone know the reason why they did two for Guildpact (wee dragonaughts and castigate) and only one for Rav?
(Sorry to all if this has been posted already i didn't see anything up regarding this.)
Edit: No I don't have a picture, but they look exactly the same as a normal foil one except with the normal arena logo instead of the simic one.
I'm sure the store i work at wasn't the only one to get these today, so someone else will be able to put a pic up in due time, though it is probably not really necessary.
I can post a scan later his morning. They are hot though. And there is only one Arena prize this time. Guildpact had 2 as a test. WOTC has stated that they will not do that again.
I'm so laughing at the people who just had to have their four foil Oracles ASAP and shelled at the huge funds for them, when they're an Arena prize. LMAO! It's also great to finally get a decent foil for Arena (although Castigate wasn't bad). Good find.
proffit, it's unfair of you to laugh at those people. many people are big fans of having 'in set' foils as opposed to the ridiculously common promo foils.
For example, foil FNM wild mongrel will be worth maybe 2 or 3 bucks, but oddysey foil wild mongrel will always be worth more than it, because it is more rare.
people like the 'in set' foils because they look more authentic, you have to work harder to get them, and they often look better because they are 'hardercore'.
these look great, but they arent up to wee dragonaut standards
You're joking, right? Coiling Oracle is a vastly superior choice for an Arena foil. In fact, if you would like, I would trade you Arena Dragonauts for any Oracles you obtain.
What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.

wee dragonauts is the best card ever printed.
but yeah oracles are good.
Wee and Oracle are good cards and they are very playable in limited format. For constructed i think Oracle wins a bit.
I'm sad when I have to run Wee Dragonauts in my limited pile. I'd run as many Oracles as I could find, though. They cantrip, and sometimes they accelerate you. They're potentially playable in Heartbeat as an anti-aggro strategy. The Dragonauts...are not even sideboard quality.
Yeah with the chance of getting another land in play untapped or put the card revealed in hand for 2 mana and with a body to suit, I would pick Oracle over Nauts

Sweet. Thanks bros! Here's a smilie face for your efforts; sorry if it isn't much.:)
Some have stated that they prefer to see Sakura-Tribe Elder promified (me, and my made-up words) instead. I reckon that the Elder would have been a better pick.
Say, any brother know how they choose the Arena card?
Is such a pity that not everyone has a million dollars to buy a playset of this awesome card (along with 4,000,000 Black Lotuses).
I reckon that GU won't get all that much play, because counterspells aren't terribly strong, and there is a diverse variety of quality aggro creatures in Standard. Also, Rancor isn't back yet.
the problem with choosing sakura-tribe elder, is that it was already used as a promo foil, specificaly as a particapation foil at the last jss. I think that coiling oracle is a great choice for a promo, because I think a 1/1 cantriping/"land drop if you get a land." for GU is pretty good.

Depends on whether a good aggro UG aggro deck will catch up. It is a cool Arena promo though.

Um, Wee Dragonauts doesn't even make the cut in Limited. Coiling Oracle has a chance to see play in Critical Mass.dec.
