9/23 NOTE: NEW FILES! FIXED PROBLEMS WITH iPod Nano! ALL FILES HERE!
All sets from Invasion on website.
--------------
Greetings Mtgsalvation!
I've been a lurker for quite a long time, and I just want to return the thanks by providing a little tool I use for my pre-releases.
I've created an iPod notes database with the spoiler and the FAQ (for the card specific text only) sorted by card number and card name.
How to use this:
1) Plug in your iPod to your computer.
2) Download the file attached and unzip it, it will make a directory called 'Ravnica Card DB'
3) Open your iPod on your computer and go into the 'Notes' folder.
4) Copy the 'Ravnica Card DB' directory into your 'Notes' folder on your iPod.
5) Safely remove the iPod from your computer.
6) Go to your notes on your iPod. (If you don't have notes on the main page, to go 'Extras' and look there.)
7) Wait for the iPod to process the new notes.
8) Enjoy!
The process is the same for the 9th, BoK, SoK, CoK files; just the directory you copy is different.
Please give me feedback, and tell me if there is anything else associated with it you would like.
Due to requests, I've created all sets from Invasion Block upwards, and put them on a website where you can download them from. You can get there via clicking here.
Edit: 9/22 2:25pm CST
I've fixed a minor problem with some versions of iPod Notes, and added 'Cards by casting cost', and fixed the card FAQ notes, with a wrap issue.
Edit 9/23 9:14 am CST
All files have been updated to fix a colon problem in file names that Macintosh didn't like, also fixed an issue with iPod Nano. All files are now here.
I'd love to see one of these databases with at least a few common ruling issues on it, like protection, cards that cause headaches and whatnot. To have a DCI judge on my iPod... that wins...

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Underling Ethu's 263rd report read simply "Yes, my lord.Overwhelmingly, my lord." This marked the end of the Mirran-Phyrexian War.
Can I provide this for other sets? Yes, which ones would you like? I have to regenerate a brand new program for each one, but it should not be a problem.
As for making a Judge's cheat sheet. I'd need to know what parts you would like to see so I can figure out which I need to make.
I just did this and, while it took a little work, its very cool. I think it would be absolutely awesome if you could put the oracle card database on there, but thats quite a lot of cards.
I tend to listen to my iPod between matches or while waiting for tournaments to begin. This gives me something to read, as well, and will act as a great reference during a tournament.
This is awesome. I'm sure it will help out this weekend at the Prerelease. Thanks man!
Edit: If you could put in the oracle text for the cards, it'd be nice. but I imagine that would probably take a lot of work? It would help out a lot to know what the cards do.Don't feel like you have to though.
Edit 2: I also agree that a sort of Rules Guide woulde be nice(as long as they were correct) to look at during a tourney.
would this work on mp3 processing systems other than an ipod (like a dell dj or rca lyra). I'm not a programmer so i don't know what it involves, but it would be cool if it could be done.
I'm just wondering, I got this, but none of the cards have any text other than their casting cost, creature type, and power/toughness. Are they supposed to have their effects and my computer is just being stupid or not?
OMFG!!!!! this is the best thing since burnt toast. skeeve thou art awesome. I'd kill to know how you did this so i could use it with my custom cards. oracle text would be cool, but we'll survive. thanks man (i assume)

Thanks for doing it, on behalf of all those who are going to use it! Great idea!
Azerbaijan is strong in the Google-Fu. He is my hero!
I can host this myself, and just provide a webpage, if that's the easiest way.

Thanks!

There is a slightly newer format, since I could not pull collector's number with any accuracy. All data is from gatherer, and the faqs.
Enjoy!
now i can do magic stuff while seeming cool because i have an Ipod yay
mtgskeeve do you think it would be possible to do the entire oracle databas please please

Kaizer63: Which one did you download?
9th and SoK blocks work, but I can't seem to get Ravnica rules text.
What version of iPod do you have?
Alright, you did it. I'm floored. That doesn't come easy so good job flooring me.
Thanks to Le_Gambit for this awesome sig!
I have an Ipod nano. The downloaded files on my computer has "square" symbols where the rules text should be. (Mac, if that makes a difference)
Thanks for your help.
