A plane in the magic sense is a planet (or a terraformation), as opposed to the D&D sense where it is a separate aspect of reality (a universe if you would).
Having the plane covered in 'civic centres' wouldn't be that hard. you define them by establishing a border. Same way you define nations on a world without lines drawn naturally in the earth.
Not exactly a problem, and it would in fact help define differences in politics between areas on the plane.
Septemeber 17. This is going off of the prerelease cards from before. Now that they have gotten into a fit cycle you can tell the release tourny of all sets from the dates. Sept 17, Jan 21, May 20 should be the prerelease dates for Rav block.
Cities covered the entire universe? Or are they confusing planes with planets again?
A plane is a planet in Magic terminology. Or, at least, only one planet maximum ever exists or is referenced in each plane. (Serra's Realm, for instance, had no planet at all, just a bunch of tiny floating fields while the plane and planet of Dominaria were always considered one and the same.)
Well the main thing this confirms to me is that Ravnika city covers the entire plain. Earlier it was believed that it was simply the largest city on a mainly city covered plain. Sooo. Ravnika is a mideival/renaisance version of Courascant from Star Wars.

even if a city convered an entire planet that would be fairly insane...but the entire universe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? that would be such an insanely large city...each guild could have there own several lightyear by several lightyear rectangles...with a few lightyears in the middle as a boundry between the rest....where is this conflict?

if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
Yeah ..... pretty sure Wizards is just letting "plane" stand in for "planet". Though we most often hear the name of the planet and its the same as the plane itself. Witness: Mirrodin. Plane doesn't have to mean a whole universe in all cases. Or at least the blurb is trying to lead us to this conclusion. Beceause a planet covered in one big city makes a bit of sense, a giant city encompassing a whole universe does not.
I thought it was obvious from what we knew that the city covered a planet ...
Damn.....That is a Loxodon no doubt about it....I'm glad they're there....because there wasn't enough Loxodons.....yet the Loxodon Warhammer was famouse...ohwell.....

Oh wow, 19th hour, that's a great site, you can tell that our Cthulu, is indeed not a mighty alien being but infact, a vampire...booooooooring. but still cool. I like the angel to the vampire's left on the website. Even though its obviously not Cthulhu, I'm still calling it that
