I was surfin' around Magicthegathering.com and found this, pictures of some of the packs and also information about the fat pack. The fat pack's in the past just had packs, book, lifecounter, guide, and foils, now they've added boxes and dividers instead of the foils, like in the 9th edition fatpack. Personally, I'm thrilled because I wasn't that impressed with the foil land and common I would recieve with my fat pack, this will probably boost the price up, like the 9th edition one, but I think it'll be worth it. See for yourself: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=magic/expansion/rav
The pack on the bottom looks like a loxodon, not sure about the one in the front, some kinda tentacle, dragon thingie, and the second from top looks like an elf lady. Fun stuff!!!
Hope this isn't old news
September 5th starts previews, can't wait!!! :tongue3:

Nah, not a dragon. It has batlike wings and a lot of... "tendrils" at the back of its body. It appears to have a mask-like face too *puzzled*
The other packs are quite "normal", showing an elf (I think), a human (either thinking, or with huge mandibles), a sort of statue (???), and a bearded old sage with greenish skin and pointy ears (looks like a goblin or an orc to me).
EDIT: Upon closer examination there's a squarelike patch of black on top of the "elf" head (hair or a hat?) that differs from the black in the background. His arm appears to be in front of a cage-like contraption or a sort of skeletal wooden wing. I also really don't know what to make of the bright mandible-like patches that jut from the neck of the human...
Great find! I think you can see on the second booster one ofthe Elf/Gorgon pictures we have already. Awesome! I'm also digging the little blurb:
Nothing ever changes in Ravnica. For countless millennia, cities have covered the entire plane. Eventually, they ran together into one vast megalopolis -- a patchwork of grand halls, decrepit slums, ancient ruins, and layer upon layer of stonework structures. Of the world's countless civic centers, one looms above all others: the City of Ravnica, a metropolis so vast that its name has become synonymous with the world itself. It is here -- amid mazes of streets and towering gothic spires -- that the guilds vie for power and control.
So Ravnica is the name of one of the cities... but the whole plane is one giant city... so how do you distinguish Ravnica from the rest of the plane? :confused3:
Still, all very cool!
Edit: Does anyone else think the first booster pic looks like Cthulhu?
those packs look pretty cool That dragon/bat thing kinda looks like a flying jelly fish and the one towards the middle looks like the same guy on the novel

EDIT: Onderzee boot, hij heeft slagtanden, dus lijkt me niet een ouwe bebaarde man maar een Olifant (Some dutch to onderzeeboot)
Heh, I was looking from a completely different angle, but you're right, the tusks kinda give it away That greenish patch must be some sort of emblem then?!?
I'm still not sold on the dragon, it really doesn't look like one if you look closer!
Personally, I'm excited that we can finally have a good look at the guild symbols!
R_E was right; the Golgari and Dimir symbols we used to have need switching around.
Maybe this reality is actually an alternate reality of a reality in which New Phyrexia was the joke expansion and Mirrodin Pure was the obvious expansion, except our reality is the Time Shifted reality which is opposite of that other reality which is that actual reality.
Anyway, is there conclusive evidence that the plane's name is Ravnica? If there is, it might have slipped my mind, because everything I remember with that name is calling it a City. I reckon Ravnica will indeed be the plane's name though. *shrug*
EDIT: Duh, just read the text. The plane's name is indeed Ravnica.

I guess that pretty much tells you why the city and the plane have the same name.
Cool find, Maybe the first one is that imp from the spoiler?

Attack one beating chicken of 4 cards, then erase 3 minus from your battleax. Never in your main phase will you do a 4 cards risen, but McDonald of 2 to the punish-bin. Again, beat softly to the end.

Good find though.

What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.
Does the guy on the left look like some sort of unholy cross between an Aven and a Cephalid to anyone else? (I'm not suggesting either is in the set. That's just what the tiny art looks like.)
but why post it on MTG.com? There is truly nothing new there...but perhaps Wizards R&D enjoy watching us squirm with anticipation. *squirms* Happy now? Happy, you sick sick people?
That blurb sounds so cool. As much as I loved Kamigawa, I think Ravnica's flavor might just trump it. And now that I'm slowly beginning to like how the set itself is shaping up, I think Ravnica might just be a total success in the making.
And yay on the booster images. Not that I can make out what any of the pictures are, but it's still a great find.
To clarify what i said earlier regarding Ravnica City/Ravnica the plane, I meant "If the entire plane consists of city, would it not be difficult to determine the borders of Ravnica City relative to its neighboring cities?" Or something. I can't even remember what I was thinking at the time. I blame the caffeine.

Also, regardless of the card attached to the art of the first booster, I vote we give it the official nickname of Cthulhu. Who's with me?
i have bought every fat pack from legions, and this format is better. in the older, much of the pack went to the garbage, in this one, everything is usable

random, useless knowledge:
if we could line up every person that lives in china, and try to reach the last one walking, we would never be able to do it, because of it's demographic growth would get bigger and bigger and we could not be able to reach the end

"Tales of Cisco-induced semi-psychotic fits are common. Nudity and violence may well be involved too. Everyone who drinks this feels great at first, and claims, "It's not bad at all, I like it." But, you really do not want to mess around with this one, because they all sing a different tune a few minutes later. And by tune, I mean the psychotic ramblings of a raging naked bum."
