Basically, I'm just really annoyed that they printed something as stupidly powerful as playable Transmute cards. This also unbalances the guilds because the u/b mechanic is soo much better than the others. I wish wizards would quit making the mistake of always giving blue spells that treat the cards like cards, while every other color gets spells that treat the cards like creatures/lands/etc. Thats the reason blue has so long been the best color. And it looks like it just got repeatedly upped.
You may not have noticed, but blue got screwed in 9th, I'm kinda glad to see blue get a good mechanic, its not quite broken yet though. There is still plenty of spoiler to be found before we can make any clear calls on the power level of the set.
Actually, since Muddle has a converted mana cost of 2, you will be grabbing a 2cc spell. Such as the ever-broken Time Walk (in Vintage, at least). And as long as there are going to be other transmute cards with other converted mana costs... well, there are going to be come crazy/insane cards out there. Maybe not broken (points off because it's a sorcery-speed effect), but... very advantagous.
Good point, got the CMC wrong. Still there are plenty of good options at the 2 mana slot. Rav. Rats, Distress, Volcanic Hammer, Cruel Edict, Hand of Cruelty and Consume Spirit come to mind, as does Boomerang, Peel from Reality, the U/B Mill for 10 spell and Fishliver Oil (just kidding about that one ;)). Plenty to work with here. House Dimir is looking pretty solid so far.

I'm old school, about as OLD school as they get. think 4th Edition/Ice Age old school. Unfortunatley in the "Real world" you cant Incinerate your bank manager and sadly now I have joined the ranks of the older population, and my time is taken up by things like reasearching Mortgage Refinance Rates and where to get the best possible mortgage quotes. I have however discovered the joys of Online Forex Trading which at least allows me to keep the bills in check!
Just think of all the nice things for 3 you could fetch with this, not to mention there may be more good 3cc's in rav as well as other cards with this mechanic.
Don't you just love rolling a ok cards and a tutor together....:grin2:

For the FINAL time, the card fetches for a card that is the same casting cost AS THE CARD. (TWO in this case)
