I submitted "Sequester". The legal definition fits the mechanic pretty well (keeping a creature separate, so as to maintain some sort of informational integrity which is lost once the creature is no longer separate). Also, it's imaginable that some fairy chick could show up to sequester you.
I like "Angel Dust", better than Cocaine. It's a name that could conceivably see print, and PCP fits the mechanic better than cocaine, anyway.

while we are sequestering, we should also consider parlay. I think it is very appropriate becuase it means to manuever resources to your advantage. Besides, it sounds very gentlemanly and goes along with the sophisticated ninth edition ad that encourages us to drink.
Plus it sounds even cooler than sequester or smoke... I do believe I will parlay my eternal witness.
the only bad part is the most common definition of parlay is to bet... othewise it means...
: 2 a: to exploit successfully b: to increase or otherwise transform into something of much greater value
It is a magical concept that fits the art and ability perfectly to me. It also matches up with one previous use of "Astral" in magic.
I almost went with Astral Projection. Glad I didn't.
I went with Dream Walk instead. The picture has a hypnotic dream quality. I was going for the idea of cards = power/toughness as a mental/non-coporeal repesentation of the creature in the dream world.
Immediately after I hit send I thought of "Lucid Dream" which I think would have been better.
']it has a lot of dreamy flavor (momentary knowledge, subconscious, etc)
it also looks alot like fading
sooooo... mine was 'fade into dreams'
you go to bed whenever you want and it fades into your dreams, giving you the knowledge rush, then in the morning (upkeep) you wake up and so you forget your dreams, like people usually do. When you forget the dreams, ur forced to discard your wisdom (cards), then the creature returns from your dreams.
To me it seems like the best possibly choice, but w/e.

I don't think of it as dust personally. I think of it more as remnants of a recently-past spell. Also, if you look at the right side of the art, it sort of looks like the woman is either fading in or out.
I'm submitting "Fade Into Dreams".
Well, I can't say I expected to be the only one with that idea. And maybe if more people submit it, they'll like it better.
I spent some time thinking, and decided to go with a pop culture reference that makes sense in contest. Wrinkled time. Wrinkle can be used as a verb to mean that one creates wrinkles. A wrinkle is defined as a line across an object, and also as a clever trick upon another person. Time is a reference in magic to giving yourself more recources. Mostly turns, but more cards fits the discription of that. Wrinkle in time is a popular book that has people moving through portals. The idea behind the submission is that the figure in the art is being shifted through a wrinkle time. moving instantly between two points. As she enters the portal, the knowledge avalible to her increases ten-fold, as she travles as apart of time. When she arrives at her destination, she forgets this knowledge. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
personally, I don't think the simple names will work for a complicated gold card such as this one.
I picked Celestial Sojourn. It's a good name for the effect, but I'm not sure how well it fits with the art

I went with Siren's Gift. It's partly blue, so its a throwback to the card "Siren's Call" from the Dark (woot, my first Johnny card!), and it just seems to fit to me... pretty lady, appearing in what looks like a desolate area, offering this gift to you, without you knowing the price for that gift.
I submitted 'Whispers of Desire'
See, unfortunately its tough to not get a name that resembles other card's names.
If not for 'Whispers of the Muse', mine would be pretty good. : /

it looks like shes trying to get you to go somewhere "call" and when you get back you are enlightened (gained cards) which to me seems like a white and blue word.
remove target creature, so first name should be of white... (otherworldly journey comes to mind)... "journey to the aether"
And I had Journey Through the AEther...
I think the flavor is right-on along these lines; I think the best incarnation of it that I've seen in this thread, though, is Journey Through Dreams (bear in mind, I've skipped over most of the thread). If that makes it into the top ten, I'm definitely voting for it.
I am surprised no one took notice to the fact that it appears she is holding out her hand to give something to you... given that i then had a bit of a difficult time mulling over the name in my mind...
namely, how to word the name, and then how to make it work with both mechanic and art.
meh, i chose "Gift of Dreams"
i actually think it is fitting, even if slightly. the art part, mentioned above, the mechanicwise, look at dream cache, it involves drawing cards, then getting some out of your hand... similar enough. meh, best example/reason i can come up with...
It's gonna win. You heard it here first!
Check out the blog too.
My submission, a little wordy and perhaps too abstract:
Alluvial Slip
EDIT: In case people who do care don't want to look it up:
Alluvial: Of or relating to alluvium.
Alluvium: Sediment deposited by flowing water, as in a riverbed, flood plain, or delta.

woot parlay it up!

now begins the thousand years of REIGN OF BLOOD!
I will Vote Parlay to the end!!!
I cannot help myself, but the mood of the pic points that way. But it is a bit jawbreaker, I know.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
IT WILL WIN

Personally I haven't put much effort to think of something myself, but one idea from this thread caught my eye: AEther Lure.
Unfortunately I can't vote, only submit so my fingers will be crossed for this name.
