It says There is "A special oversized Ninth Edition card (see right)" and it points to Force of Nature. I think that means that Force of Nature is the only one card to get that big in the fat pack.
Team Slacker: Please Send in Picture of cards you get in your New Fat Pack.
the point you make is provoking, but insubstantial. you said it yourself, "It says There is 'A special oversized Ninth Edition card (see right),'" which, though it does indeed point to Force, only really proves that the Force was an example. in fact, if it were only FoNs, i'm certain they would have stated that implicitly.
Isn't the Force bigger than the normal oversized cards, though? I thought it was 6x9, while the ones that come in boxes are 4x6.
As far as the Fat Pack stuff goes, can the boxes hold sleeved cards? If so, then I'm in love.

Every time I destroy an opponent's creature, I jump on the table, yell "Boo ya, you son of a *****!", rip the card in half, urinate on it, then forcefully shove it down my opponent's throat.
Needless to say, I don't have many players in my playgroup anymore.
This is why i'm not a fan of big chain stores selling magic. They not only undercut hard working specialty stores onn prices causing a lot of stores to have to close they also don't care about the standard proceedures and with the amount of money hasbro makes from them they almost immune from litigation.
If a small card store did the same thing you can bet that hasbro would be down on them like a ton of bricks, possibly even black listing them from the sale of magic cards.
I went by every Wal-Mart in the Augusta, GA area today and could not find any. I was planning on taking a digi-cam pic of me picking up the box at the store itself That's a sure way to prove it, but alas, I found nothing, which sucks.

I can not speak on the tactics of the evil empire known as the big "W", but as an employee of Target I can at least state 2 things:
1) We take street dates very seriously. As far as any Music, Movies, Books or Video Games are concerned, if a Team Member knowingly breaks a street date it will result in diciplinary action that can possibly include termination. The fines for that are tremendous, and we don't allow for too many mistakes.
2) All of our trading cards are sold at MSRP. I don't by my cards at work because the discount I get at my local game shop is actually bigger than my Team Member discount.
I know we haven't received our 9th Edition product yet, and even if we had it it wouldn't be on the shelf until Friday morning.

If a person on the street did the same thing they'd be labeled as a raving hobo, and maybe beaten half to death to boot.
My store sells boosters for $3 apiece. Walmart sells boosters for $3.96 apiece. My store is going to sell the 9th Fat Packs for $25 apiece. Walmart? $30. And besides, specialty magic stores make most of their money off of singles and tournaments. If your store is experiencing Magic market share loss due to a Wal-Mart, they're likely charging you out the ass for booster packs and can afford it.
and Machius, I was just screwing with you. I didn't mean it, and I know that you're pretty close to a "senior member". No offense.

I have no extendo-sig. Sorry, I'm just not vain enough to think someone will click on it.
The Force of Nature is the only oversize card you can get in a Fat Pack. You have to get the other 12 from booster boxes. For those asking for pictures, there's a bunch up on my site, or you can see them in the thread about boxtoppers. For people asking for scans of foils and whatnot, I've got a whole pile going up on my site right now.

Thanx. Takes the pressure off of me
That kinda sucks about the oversized cards tho... I'd kinda like to get some different ones, but alas...
The Walmarts in Kansas City, KS are selling the precons and the fatpacks. I bought up all the store had. However, across the river in Kansas City, MO, the Walmarts only have $9 Mirrodin precons, Darksteel precons and Fifth Dawn boosters. Weird!
Ok I checked Wall Mart in Germantown MD in mileston center and they were not selling 9th edition yet they only had booster of kamigawa, mrridon and fifth dawn! and a bunch of non-9th edition Precons!
No offense, but...$30 buyout? That card will never break $15, MAYBE $20 if it sees tournament play like in old WW decks. I'd rather get a foil Paladin En-Vec.
VERY nice pull man. By the way, this is Richard's friend (the one that goes to your store) Don't know if he's mentioned me, but I'm that Augusta friend. Anyways, that's a beautiful card, lucky pull. Wish the stores here would sell early

Well, no 9th at Walmart up here in Toronto, but they had some at Mind Games. $5/booster and $12/precon (prices in CAN$). I only picked up 3 packs. Nothing special, just a royal assassin, trade routes, persecute and a foil bog imp.
Tune into "How to Make Friends and Influence People" next week, when EclipseAgent will tell us how to persuade your Muslim friends to eat a ham sandwich!
They're selling it at the Wal-Mart in Shelbyville, Kentucky. I got a Fat Pack. Nothing special in the packs; Royal Assassin was about it. But I am in love with the boxes.

Why are all these people spending gas running to multiple walmarts? Why support walmart? They are a terrible company.

if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
I got a Fat Pack out of the local gaming shop today. It's rather sweet, with the big Force of nature (though I wish it had the old art). The spindown die is cool too, cause the Ninth logo is on the nine instead of the 20.
Nothing too good in the packs, however.
In order of opening (cards of intrest/rares):
I won a draft yesterday and got a free box and i bought another box. i like the set and it has up side compaired to 8th. i wish some of the art would not have change and birds and city in their but their coming back soon so in time.

Force is 4x6, boxes can hold sleeved cards, with room to spare.
I'll try to put more pictures up tomorrow after work. I didn't get anything too exciting, and no foilies in the second pack.
