i find this interesting. i rather like the "bleed" cards or at least the machanic. the cards shown are meh..
now i can see some very interestng cards in the uncommon and rare slots. personally i'm hoping for a desolation angel type creature with the bleed ability. and of course the red ones always draw my attention. so i'm looking foward
now this mutate ability. this is VERY interesting. and potentially very broken. but untill the full wording is know i can't really make a judgement.
all in all thanks elf. and please keep it rolling
It looks like Peel from Reality is the Unsummon variant with strings attached for Ravnica. Which I'd be surprised to see as common, based on ability. However, through MTG.com articles we've read as to why and how 'good' cards are distributed among the rarities, and since unsummoning has been common for quite some time, it'll most likely be common.
The Berserker is interesting, because before you pay :1mana::symw::symr::symr:, how many creatures are you going to play/have in hand? I'd play this guy only to alpha strike and win the game, barring any tricks on the other side of the table. Huge in limited, no doubt.
The LD spell is very interesting. I can't wait to see more cards like that.
Thanks a bunch source, and R_E for relaying.

Waiting patiently for MTGO Leagues to become a priority again. It's been 4 years .

I posted something a while back that was very simular to this bleeding ability. I created it in my custom designed set.

My own custom set may have something simular to what we will see in this new block. Here is the new mechanic and some sample cards:
Shift to Color: Text (If you used this color mana to pay this
spell's casting cost, it gains this text and becomes this color.)
Symbiote Decoy 2
Shift to Green: T: Untap target creature.
Shift to White: T: Tap target creature.
Shift to White and Green: +0/+2.
2/1
Splash Counter 2UU
Counter target spell.
Shift to Black: Owner of that spell losses life equal to that spells converted mana cost.
Shift to White: Gain life equal to that spells converted mana cost.
Redden Bear 1G
Shift to Red: +1/+0.
Shift to White: +0/+2.
2/2
thank you R_E's source...now, to these cards. the land destruction one seems more red to me but i guess ld didn't get dropped from green with the color wheel shuffle. and the blue card...nice...still aggro-oriented but at least it's a step in the right direction. watch, it's going to be rare or something stupid like that.
i'd be interested to know what the land cycles are.
Interesting synergy with Spoilage. Green has the fatties to survive the sweep, and doesn't like little weenie chump-blocking all day long. Plus it's the color that can most easily accomodate the extra colorage. Casting this turn 3 (pick a way, there's plenty) could be devastating to a zerg rush, and LD is kinda mean in a multi-colored set

Standard Constructed implications of Spoiling: I fear them to be very minor. Assuming WW remains the deck to beat in Standard (and looking at 9th, I can't imagine how it wouldn't), Hideous Laughter is a better answer and a 4-cc LD spell just isn't worth playing. It'll still be a pretty good card in Limited, as long as there are enough X/1 creatures running around.
Since there were no real uncommon or common opposing coloured cards previous to Apocalypse (ok, I guess you can count Dark Heart of the Wood...but thats from a crappy set so it doesn't count :P), I'm wondering if we'll see any reprints from Apocalypse to support the opposing coloured guilds (flaming fist, the black/green one...etc).

I don't see any of them being reprinted.
Invasion block was a good block.
RAV is going in a different direction that Invasion didn't go in.
So no need to reprint stuff.

Reap and Sow, Creeping Mold, Spreading Algae, Feast of Worms...Red is still (and always will be) the primary LD color, but Green and Black each get their own share of it as well.

Here's a list of all the common/uncommon opposing cards from Apocalypse...
:symr:/:symw:
Squee's Embrace
Goblin Legionnaire
Captain's Maneuver
Flowstone Charger
:symr:/:symu:
Quicksilver Dagger
Razorfin Hunter (probably might see print given the "blending" of creature types in this set)
Squee's Revenge (probably not given the reference to a deceased character from a story "Centuries" old...)
Minotaur Illusionist
:symu:/:symg:
Gaea's Skyfolk
Temporal Spring
Æther Mutation
Jungle Barrier
:symg:/:symb:
Consume Spirit
Llanowar Dead
Death Mutation
Ebony Treefolk
:symb:/:symw:
Putrid Warrior
Soul Link
Gerrard's Verdict
Martyr's Tomb
The only ones I can see being reprinted are Soul Link, Temporal Spring, Ebony Treefolk, Putrid Warrior (maybe), Minotaur Illusionist, and some others that I don't have the ambition to type out.
