On the heels of the Gemstone Mine promo foil comes a modern frame DCI foil Sol Ring, the first of which is up for auction at (Link removed.) I have received independent confirmation of the card from other judges at London, along with a nicer attached scan. So shiny...
omg that is the prettiest card i have ever seen. it is a shame that i will never be able to afford it on ebay
Hardly. While this is pretty cool, I'll take one of those Promo Balances over it anyday.

if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
Wow, They finally made this into a Promo. It looks good but The Artwork needs to be darker. But It's still a cool Promo.

JeffV and a few other of the judges here must be drooling slightly on here... I agree the foiling process will be the deciding factor on it but I'd still like one either way just because its a damn good card.
I can 100% confirm this guys. One of the judges at a PTQ yesterday had one in person that I briefly saw. What he said is that its only for PT judges, and not GP judges. I didn't get a close look at the foiling process but it did have a logo in the text box that was foil (I think the DCI logo) and from what I remember the entire text box was foiled as well.
Geez. I'm going to have to scramble to pick up one of these for type 1 usage. Sadly I expect them to run quite on the expensive side. Whatever the case, this thing looks awesome.

If you're talking about the one that showed up at the Seattle PTQ, the rumor was that only the staff at PT London would be recieving these. So if this is correct, we can assume that only a couple dozen of these bad boys were printed.

I am also a DCI Level 1 Judge, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask them in the Rulings forum.
it looks so nice i wish i had one
It looks good though not terribly special. New card frame looks alright on it.
.
Seconded. The foiling process is probably the deciding factor on this thing's coolness vs. lameness.

I'm also glad that they're not forgetting about the vintage players among the MTG masses, what's next? Power nine? Library of Alexandria? Awesome!
