A reanimater deck is going to want cards in the graveyard...especially one with Living Death. Greater Good could theoretically do for B/G Reanimater what Fact or Fiction did for 'Tog decks. Now that the environment is slowed down a deck like this could be viable... Too bad Goryo's Vengeance is the best reanimation spell in T2, I'd like to be able to reanimate creatures other than spirits.
I loved Greater Good back in the day when it was hideously overshadowed by all the dumb stuff in The Block Which Shall Not Be Named. It gets some use out of creatures that are about to die, fuels threshold/flashback/reanimator/madness strategies, and gives green a bit of a card drawing boost. Very useful card, glad to see it coming back. Perhaps this time it will get a chance to shine.
I know, I couldn't help myself. At least I didn't mention a card that has any chance of being reprinted, though. At least, not in a Core Set, and not in that colour!
Thanks for the scratch BTW.
I love green card drawing. It's just so tasty. Sometimes it's even okay to sacrifice a creature with 2 power (an elf or something :() if you have some cards in hand you don't need. There's nothing wrong with a free Bazaar of Baghdad effect if someone Bolts your Bear.
black is number two in card drawing. it is even arguably better than blue card drawing. for example: phrexian arena > archivist. I only see power-level problems with living death. how is it out of the color wheel set up? the most recent symetrical mass kill in black was decree of pain in scorge. the most recent mass reanimation was in onslaught with patriarch's bidding. How have these abilities left black? I agree that living death is grossly underpriced for what it does, and probably won't be reprinted anytime soon as a result, but I don't see how it wouldn't be printed for color wheel issues.
All I know is that Shadowlord is on some great crack and I want a piece of it too. Oh, and I want to take this opportunity to shamelessly plug Hidden Path by wishing it in 9th merely to smite the little bastard to hell. muwahahahahaha

Also R_E whats the deal with this Living Death reference. You mess with our heads like a rabid monkey plays with syringes.
Let WHAT be true? Nobody said it was coming back... someone just mentioned its name!
Can't I say a card's name without causing an uproar? Geeez guys. If I have a rumor or some info, I'll post it... not allude to it secretly.
Living Death would be great in 9th. But then again, so would Psionic Blast, eh?
