Hey everyone, I was just taking a break from adding SOK foils to my site to search for 9th information. I went on AIM and got a message from a guy I hadn't talked to in a while. Apparently he was in the bath the other night when a cannonball fell through his roof and crushed his spine! () As aweful as that sounds, luckily he did survive the initial impact, and when the doctors brought the 55 pound iron ball to his bedside (as a souvenir I guess) he noticed there was a scrap of paper stuck in the dried blood. It had a shred of the 9th edition spoiler on it! As he died (), he had his mother swear to contact me and pass the information on. He gave her his AIM password, and she indeed let me have the information. ()
Without further ado:
Fellwar Stone -
Artifact (U)
: Add to your mana pool one mana of any color that a land an opponent controls could produce.
Aside from that, the scrap of paper also had the text "3DRAW LUO" on it, according to the guy's mom, but the rest was too soaked in dried blood to read.
The only other thing she said was that she hoped this was important information, because she had to miss her son's funeral to get it to me. (:weird3:)

I think Fellwar Stone's okay, I mean it's no Darksteel Ingot but it's cheaper and doesn't come into play tapped like the Diamonds (7th edition uncommons). Therefore I think it could see play in some decks, especially with the gold-laden RAV coming up a couple months after 9th is released.
The 'Mill gets weirder and weirder with each set. That's almost as sad as the guy who opened the door in a moving car and jumped up to catch his cigarette when the wind caught it.
Anyway Eh, better than that Mana Cylix thing we got in 8th.
Yep i'm ready for the "Invasion" block to rotate in....... IMO multicolr is the best i love the fact that there is no real superior unbeatable deck.... will be a good end to mirrodin. The stone could see play depends just how multi intence it is.

yes turning of the tide that was a nice, props on breaking the deck
It's OK... by no means anything good but it might show up in Rav if it is indeed (as it most probably is) a multicolor set. Having to depend on opponents mana stinks but hey there's always the mirror...
This, I'd bet, isn't actually meant for any physical formats. My guess is that R&D is starting to get some of the 5-Color staples onto MTGO so that Prismatic isn't so different from paper Five.
Also, I'm going to LOVE altering the first foily Stone I come across.

If anything, it'll come in handy with Confiscate If you gain control of something that has an activated ability that requires colored mana.
But what I find interesting is this "3DRAW LUO." What could this mean? Probably nothing.
Read: I know this is a joke. I would've written the same thing if I had 45 minutes of sleep.
An opponent has to control a land that taps for a color yours don't tap for in order for Confiscate to be useful in this situation. Your Fellwar Stone ain't gettin any help unless your opponent Confiscates your City of Brass or something.

Hang on, I need my gibber-to-english dictionary. Ah yes, here it is,
EDIT: btw about that Brainstorm thing, is that just part of the "horrific story" or is that baby comin back in T2?
I think it's part of the information, but instead just supposed to be a clue or hint for us to decipher, which I believe I deciphered actually I could be wrong, but all "omg I want Brainstorm in 9th aside" if you break it down and translate what it could mean it's definitely atleast "Draw 3 cards".
Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism -how passionately I hate them!

Brainstorm in Ninth!
Power 9 poster more and more comes true.
FYI, the Power 9 poster was for the most part based off of cards that've been speculated or rumored to be in 9th for a long time now. He just used that previous speculation and plus the rumors at the time to make it appear more true.
[FONT=Century Gothic]mwhaha... Im sure RE is sitting there laughing his ass off becuase of the brainstorm speculation even if it would be real or not
I have no idea if Brainstorm is coming back in 9th... personally I could see it happening, but that's not what the clue was about. I never even noticed that it looked like "draw three" - sorry Xen!
well i supose i could easily be missing something in the clue. but the only thing i can still think of is brainstorm. now that you've said NO
i have no idea. so why not give it up and just tell us stupid people
It seems as though they're trying to make this base set have some sort of impact on the metagame. Sure, foil Hyppie's will be in it, but it's nice to know that isn't the only good card they're putting in it.

Condolences to dude's family.
I'm pretty sure that was a joke...
Believe my info. The story just happened because I only got 45 minutes of sleep last night. :smile2:
.
It would be more believeable if the guy was a midget and a lion dropped the cannonball, since midgest and lions are bitter enemies.
on a more serious note, this kinda shows more and more that Rav might be the new multicolor set. Meh, I want an enchantment block.
