Bushido 1
1R: Sokenzan Spellblade gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand.

Best. Creature. Type. EVER. Oh, you were kidding? Damn.
The best card on here has to be Skyfire Kirin... I mean, not only do you get cheap access to flying in red, you gain Spiritcraft that takes over creatures at no extra cost. LIMITED BOMB!!!!
Hidetsugu's Second Rite would be pretty easy to pull off for red...This card could mean the resurrection of Sligh in T2!!! Turn 4/5 kill = Tech.
Rally The Horde, Undying Flames, and Feral Lightning are all great fun and creative cards.
I can't believe I didn't notice this before, but Hidetsugu's Second Rite combos with Hidetsugu himself! I'm sure that you guys can find better uses for him though...:winky:.
I'm beginning to think that this block has been saved after all...We just needed to see the big picture to figure it out!!!
Adamaro, First to Desire - 1RR
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Adamaro, First to Desire's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in the hand of the opponent with the most cards in hand.
*/*
I guess this card will be fun in multiplayer. Punish an opponent for having a big handed partner. As this guy comes out early it'll tend to be huge, and huge creatures that come out fast can't be that bad.
Feral Lightning - 3RRR
Sorcery
Put three 3/1 red Elemental creature tokens with haste into play. Remove them from the game at end of turn.
At first i thought this was crap but 9 power coming out hasted can be good as it is unexpected. Hope it won't be rare, casting cost could allow it to be uncommon as it would be hard to support it in limited.
Gaze of Adamaro - 2RR
Instant - Arcane
Gaze of Adamaro deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
Sudden Impact as an arcane. This card will probably hit hard at the prerelease but then it doesn't hit creature. I say uncommon.
Godo's Irregulars - R
Creature - Human Warrior
R: Godo's Irregulars deals 1 damage to target creature blocking it.
1/1
Nice one drop that can take out much larger threat. The only common i can think of that it can't kill is Humble Budoka. I don't think it'll get blocked too often though. Probably common.
Hidetsugu's Second Rite - 3R
Instant
If target player has exactly 10 life, Hidetsugu's Second Rite deals 10 damage to that player.
Flavorfull card but awfully situational. Can only see this played in casual deck with it's namesake Ogre. Too weird to be a common and low power level would put it at uncommon.
Homura, Human Ascendant - 4RR
Legendary Creature - Human Monk (R)
Homura, Human Ascendant can't block.
When Homura is put into a graveyard from play, return it to play flipped.
4/4
//flip// Homura's Essence
Legendary Enchantment

Yay! Human ascendant. Who would have thought? Making all your creatures into Shivan dragons is huge and it has the easiest flip condition on any flip card yet. I like it a lot
Inner Fire - 3R
Sorcery
Add R to your mana pool for each card in your hand.
Crap... I'd play seething song over this any day... Common or i jump from a bridge
Into the Fray - R
Instant - Arcane
Target creature attacks this turn if able.
Splice onto Arcane R
Cheap arcane that lets you get rid of pesky creature. Not much else to add. I'd say common but wouldn't be too surprised it it were uncommon.
Oni of Wild Places - 5R
Creature - Demon Spirit
Haste
At the beginning of your upkeep, return a red creature you control to its owner's hand.
6/5
I like this guy a lot. 6/5 hasted, splashable, and can return those guys that got enchanted with Cage of Hands or Mystic Restraints. How about uncommon
Path of Anger's Flame - 2R
Instant - Arcane
Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn.
This is a nice effect for the decks i like to play in limited. Creature swarm love this spell. I'd say common
Rally the Horde - 5R
Sorcery
Remove the top three cards of your library from the game. If the last card removed isn't a land, repeat this process until the last card removed is a land. Put a 1/1 red Warrior creature token into play for each nonland card removed from the game this way.
This has to be rare so it won't have too much impact on limited although I wouldnt mind opening this at the prerelease. Can be set up with Sensei's Divining Top, but as any "random" effect, it cant be used to full potential. Even Krark's Thumb wont help.
Skyfire Kirin - 2RR
Legendary Creature - Kirin Spirit (R)
Flying
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may gain control of target creature with that spell's converted mana cost until end of turn.
3/3
3/3 Flyer for 4 is solid (Go Go phantom monster) but his ability is kinda bleh. No haste on the stolen crits and it wont help against a collossus.
Sokenzan Renegade - 2R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Mercenary
Bushido 1
At the beginning of your upkeep, if a player has more cards in hand than any other, the player with the most cards in hand gains control of Sokenzan Renegade.
3/3
Well Drooling Ogre took a samurai class it seems. I'm not well versed in the japanese stuff but i thought samurai were loyal to their master. Samurai mercenary sound weird. I say common.
Sokenzan Spellblade - 4R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Shaman Wtf
Bushido 1
1R: Sokenzan Spellblade gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
2/3
And i thought Samurai Mercenary was weird... Ogre really do things their way around Kamigawa. I can see myself playing this card in concert with Soratami Mirror-Guard or the mindbender dude.
Undying Flames - 4RR
Sorcery
Remove cards from the top of your library from the game until you remove a nonland card. Undying Flames deals damage to target creature or player equal to that card's converted mana cost.
Epic (For the rest of the game, you can't play spells. At the beginning of each of your upkeeps, copy this spell except for its epic ability. You may choose a new target for the copy.)
Better hope the wording is wrong. I can't see anyone playing this card over something like Goblin Charbelcher. Even a CoP:Red shuts this down entirely... How sad. Rare obv.
Yuki-Onna - 3R
Creature - Spirit
When Yuki-Onna comes into play, destroy target artifact.
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may return Yuki-Onna to its owner's hand.
3/1
I'm very disapointed with this card. I was expecting Ghitu Slinger or Avanlanche Rider ability. But then i thought the white one was going to mimic Teroh's Faithful... Oh well

- I think I don´t want this in my limited decks, as it´s sometimes powerful but unfortunately situational. In constructed, this has certainly potential, at least in sideboards. Block Constructed: Follow this up with Thoughts of Ruin!
Feral Lightning - 3RRR
Sorcery
Put three 3/1 red Elemental creature tokens with haste into play. Remove them from the game at end of turn.
- Meh. Too underpowered for constructed and a barely playable finisher in limited. Nice design, but a bad card.

Instant - Arcane
Gaze of Adamaro deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
- Weak. Okay design.
Godo's Irregulars - R

R: Godo's Irregulars deals 1 damage to target creature blocking it.
1/1
- Nice design again, but a borderline limited card at best.
Hidetsugu's Second Rite - 3R
Instant
If target player has exactly 10 life, Hidetsugu's Second Rite deals 10 damage to that player.
- Now this is more like it!
Dealing 10 damage for 4 mana is way too powerful to be ignored, so I´ll put this in my limited decks although it´s situational. But with some good plays, bringing your opponent to 10 isn´t that hard. In constructed, this may surprise some people. ;-)
Homura, Human Ascendant - 4RR

Homura's Essence
Legendary Enchantment
Creatures you control get +2/+2 and have flying and "R: This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn.".
- Probably the best flipper so far, but still a bit weak. Playable but not impressive in limited, unplayable in constructed. Still a nice synergy card if you get some cards to sacrifice creatures in your draft/ sealed.
Inner Fire - 3R
Sorcery
Add R to your mana pool for each card in your hand.
- Meh.
Into the Fray - R
Instant - Arcane
Target creature attacks this turn if able.

- Could be better than it looks at first in limited. This and the white one give me hope every color will have a very cheap arcane splicer.
Oni of Wild Places - 5R
Creature - Demon Spirit
Haste
At the beginning of your upkeep, return a red creature you control to its owner's hand.
6/5
- You know... Powerful in limited, but not in constructed.
Path of Anger's Flame - 2R
Instant - Arcane
Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn.
- Not bad. Good if your deck is extremely aggressive in limited, possibly good in KBC Sligh.
Rally the Horde - 5R
Sorcery
Remove the top three cards of your library from the game. If the last card removed isn't a land, repeat this process until the last card removed is a land. Put a 1/1 red Warrior creature token into play for each nonland card removed from the game this way.

Skyfire Kirin - 2RR
Legendary Creature - Kirin Spirit (R)
Flying
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may gain control of target creature with that spell's converted mana cost until end of turn.
3/3

Sokenzan Renegade - 2R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Mercenary
Bushido 1
At the beginning of your upkeep, if a player has more cards in hand than any other, the player with the most cards in hand gains control of Sokenzan Renegade.
3/3

Sokenzan Spellblade - 4R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Shaman Wtf
Bushido 1
1R: Sokenzan Spellblade gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
2/3
- Same with this Ogre Samurai Shaman. ;-) This is playable in limited, though.
- We´ll have to wait and see. But I´ll almost certainly play this in my limited decks.
Yuki-Onna - 3R
Creature - Spirit
When Yuki-Onna comes into play, destroy target artifact.
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may return Yuki-Onna to its owner's hand.

How many 1-2 drops you play? I don't play much, and in a slower block like kamigawa, neither do anybody else.
There's a card called Sensei's Divining Top that works WONDERS with the Red epic, which is, of the 3 we know, the easiest to use as a win condition.
Path of Anger's Flame - 2R

Excited for M13 Limited? What do you think the format will look like? Head over to the limited forum and let us know what you think.
holy crap, Hidetsugu's second rite makes aggro crazy fast. man red is really good too. For some reason the last set of every block always have the best cards. Homura seems to be one of the best flips card in this set.
wasn't Yuki-Onna supposed to be something big and special? - isn't she a legend from the boooks? why just uncommon/like otheer Onna's.
but mabye the book just focused on her...fine. but then, whats with the abilities that were speculated on - like from the book how she "makes people attack her / kills anything" etc... (not correct wording, but I'm sure *most* of you know what I mean)
bah. dissappointed in her. - however really like most of the other cards.
humph...
lots of disappointing cards here. yuki-onna destroying artifacts? how dumb is that.
the kirin isnt very good. i dont think there was any cards form that whole list i liked.
i loved champions and betrayers even more but saviors...seems a bit of a let down.

Gaze of Adamaro deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
Lava Axe, but possibly worse or better. Good if you catch a slow player, a land-screwed player or someone using wisdom.
Godo's Irregulars - R
Creature - Human Warrior
R: Godo's Irregulars deals 1 damage to target creature blocking it.
1/1
Nice. Given enough mana it can kill any blocker. But alo given enough mana, you can afford a creature that'll actually win a game.
Hidetsugu's Second Rite - 3R
Instant
If target player has exactly 10 life, Hidetsugu's Second Rite deals 10 damage to that player.
Narrow, but would be spectacular to pull off. Obviously a one-two punch with Heartless Hidetsugu himself.
Homura, Human Ascendant - 4RR

Inner Fire - 3R

Add R to your mana pool for each card in your hand.
Could be a mana explosion, or it could be pathetic. No thanks.

Oni of Wild Places - 5R

6/5
A Rorix you can have four of in play at once. Sweet. As with the others in this pseudo-cycle, its drawback can be turned into a great bonus.
Path of Anger's Flame - 2R
Instant - Arcane
Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn.
We meet again, Trumpet Blast. You were subpar then and not much has changed. But at least you might help win the game, or at least help take down defending creatures. Good enough.
Rally the Horde - 5R
Sorcery
Remove the top three cards of your library from the game. If the last card removed isn't a land, repeat this process until the last card removed is a land. Put a 1/1 red Warrior creature token into play for each nonland card removed from the game this way.
Expensive and potentially sucky. High times for risk-takers. It's like Kaboom! only less tacky.
Skyfire Kirin - 2RR
Legendary Creature - Kirin Spirit (R)
Flying
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may gain control of target creature with that spell's converted mana cost until end of turn.
3/3
Nice body for the cost and a truly lovely ability. Stealing stuff is fun.
Sokenzan Renegade - 2R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Mercenary
Bushido 1
At the beginning of your upkeep, if a player has more cards in hand than any other, the player with the most cards in hand gains control of Sokenzan Renegade.
3/3
Hard to hold onto in aggressive decks, he's fine to fill out a Limited deck if speeding to a win through furious spellcasting isn't your goal.
Sokenzan Spellblade - 4R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Shaman Wtf
Bushido 1
1R: Sokenzan Spellblade gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
2/3
Again with superfluous third creature types. Whatever. This card is good, it's version of Firebreathing is potentially devastating. It can easily get +4/+0 per 1R. +7/+0 is just insane.
Um, no.
Yuki-Onna - 3R
Creature - Spirit
When Yuki-Onna comes into play, destroy target artifact.
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may return Yuki-Onna to its owner's hand.
3/1
I say the same thing for every Onna, it makes me sad. Just attack with it a lot, use instants that are arcane to thwart lethal damage. Then play it again for even more card advantage.
Thanks, Rathi!
Yes, thank you. This haul of cards got us so close to completing the spoiler it's awesome. Take that, naysayers!

.
This is the special treatment the Lotus Noir promised?
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
The Kirin is, of course, great. SoK/SaK is looking pretty interesting (though perhaps not very 'good').
Anyway, thanks a bunch, Rathi!
Creature - Ogre Samurai Shaman Wtf
Bushido 1
1R: Sokenzan Spellblade gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
2/3
Best. Creature. Type.
I'm beginning to think that this block has been saved after all...We just needed to see the big picture to figure it out!!!
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Adamaro, First to Desire's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in the hand of the opponent with the most cards in hand.
*/*

Yay! Human ascendant. Who would have thought? Making all your creatures into Shivan dragons is huge and it has the easiest flip condition on any flip card yet. I like it a lot
Inner Fire - 3R
Sorcery
Add R to your mana pool for each card in your hand.
Crap... I'd play seething song over this any day... Common or i jump from a bridge
Into the Fray - R
Instant - Arcane

Oh well
[/QUOTE]
It's still solid as an efficiant flyer in red, I suppose.
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Adamaro, First to Desire's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in the hand of the opponent with the most cards in hand.

Gaze of Adamaro - 2RR
Instant - Arcane
Gaze of Adamaro deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
- Weak. Okay design.
Godo's Irregulars - R
Creature - Human Warrior
R: Godo's Irregulars deals 1 damage to target creature blocking it.

3/3
- Powerful in limited, but not in...
Sokenzan Renegade - 2R
Creature - Ogre Samurai Mercenary
Bushido 1
At the beginning of your upkeep, if a player has more cards in hand than any other, the player with the most cards in hand gains control of Sokenzan Renegade.
3/3
- I don´t like this.
3/1
- Hm. Looks... mediocre. Probably won´t see any noteworthy play, but I like the trick of returning cards of this cycle with arcane instants when damage is on the stack.
It doesn't have to fit into an all-red deck. It'll go along nice with green perhaps in a Blazing Shoal deck.
By the way...
OMGWTFBBQ, 'NEWS DOESN'T HAVE A SINGLE POST ON THIS NEW STUFF YET.
Instant - Arcane
Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn.
- I like this one. Turns things upside down with soilshapers in play and as stated in a post above, this gets even nuttier with Kodama of the South Tree in play. Turns lands into north trees.
Skyfire Kirin - 2RR
Legendary Creature - Kirin Spirit (R)
Flying
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may gain control of target creature with that spell's converted mana cost until end of turn.
3/3
- R/G beatdown would love cheap flyers of any kind.

I'm sure many of you have also noticed something here, but I'm still gonna mention it.....
We've been in a tizzy about there being no Flip cycle because flip only came up 4 times. Well, here's the 'missing link', if you will. It doesn't say Flip anywhere on the card. Yay.
A lot fo those cards look really awesome......I can't wait for Saviors.....
However, I'm also with the group for being dissappointed with Yuki-Onna, as there's been a great deal of hype for some bizzaro ability.
Drop by my Helpdesk if you have any questions/concerns on the Limited forum.
Excited for M13 Limited? What do you think the format will look like? Head over to the limited forum and let us know what you think.
but mabye the book just focused on her...fine. but then, whats with the abilities that were speculated on - like from the book how she "makes people attack her / kills anything" etc... (not correct wording, but I'm sure *most* of you know what I mean)
bah. dissappointed in her. - however really like most of the other cards.
indeed GOGO saviors!
lots of disappointing cards here. yuki-onna destroying artifacts? how dumb is that.
the kirin isnt very good. i dont think there was any cards form that whole list i liked.
i loved champions and betrayers even more but saviors...seems a bit of a let down.

Not bad, certainly takes advantage of the set's theme. Can easily be at least a 4/4 for 3, but the opponent can kill or at least weaken it by playing even the suckiest of spells.
Could be good, but it is kinda expensive. Guaranteed to deal 9 damage somewhere, so that's not bad.
