Ack! We need blue epic! It's the only card left, I believe.
.......Yeah.......
Eternal Dominion - 7UUU
Sorcery (R)
Search target opponent's library for an artifact, creature, enchantment, or land card. Put that card into play under your control. Then that player shuffles his or her library. Epic (For the rest of the game, you can't play spells. At the beginning of each of your upkeeps, copy this spell except for its epic ability. You may choose a new target for the copy.)
we got the blue epic, in this threads first post nonetheless.
I'd say today was a good day everybody. now that we pretty much the whole spoiler, someone will make an apprentice patch and we will be able to find out exactly what the set seems like for the prerelease, as i said before, im almost sad that we got the entire spoiler, as it would be interesting to get a big surprise at the prere, but not finding out early when you could have all along is a bit stupid, to give yourself a disadvantage just for a little surprise.
now that we have the whole set i can work on block decks YAAY, i <3 block constructed!! YAY
oh yeah and GOGO saviors!!

Shape Stealer -
I like but sadly, it will thrown away by most players like Riptide Mangler
Shifting Borders - I don't like it.
Shinen of Flight's Wings- Combo with Betrayer's Blue Flip creature
Trusted Advisor I like the CHK Adapt better than this one.

can anyone calrify this for me? Kaho, Minamo Historian - 2UU
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard (R)
When Kaho, Minamo Historian comes into play, search your library for up to three instant cards and remove them from the game. Then shuffle your library.
X, T: You may play a card with converted mana cost X removed from the game with Kaho without paying its mana cost.
2/2
do the cards remained removed from the game and you can keep playing them, or do you have to put them in your graveyard and use them olny once?

Nope, once you use Kaho's ability to play a removed card, the card you play goes to the graveyard. So you get one use of each removed card. Think of Kaho as a sort of knapsack for your hand. You can have seven cards in your hand, Kaho's three instants and therefore technically have a 'hand' of ten cards.

But it comes with a catch. The moment it leaves play, it loses memory of what it removed, and those cards will get lost forever. Correct me if I'm wrong. :winky:

But it comes with a catch. The moment it leaves play, it loses memory of what it removed, and those cards will get lost forever. Correct me if I'm wrong. :winky:
You're wrong.
No, Just kidding... You're right on the money. It's basically the blue child of mangara's tome & isochron scepter.
But it comes with a catch. The moment it leaves play, it loses memory of what it removed, and those cards will get lost forever. Correct me if I'm wrong. :winky:
No you're right, that's its catch, but that catch is balanced by what I think is its best feature: it can play off-color instants with colorless mana. It's like reanimator where you can toss in off-color cards and still utilize them. And it also allows you to play blue-heavy instants like Spelljack without heeding the heavy blue mana in the cost.
Blue epic is godly if you manage to play it. But my favorite card from this is Sakashima, The fact that its name stays the same and that it can return its self means its the best clone style card ever, and best of all it can copy legendary creatures without either of them dying. In limited they play meloku, next turn you say okay and play sakashima as a meloku, its fantastic.
Trusted Advisor, as much as people seem to like it, is really boring... Increasing your handsize by 2 isn't too useful... Losing a creature each turn is rather harmful... It's effectively a 1/2 for U with a drawback... If you want a large hand, get some Soratami... At least the soratami have cool abilities to back up their abilities' costs...
No, it's effectively a free way to reuse the 187 creatures as long as they are blue. It just happens to also help with wisdom and survives combat with other 1/1s that don't have Bushido. How is that bad?
At last the set is complete! Thanky you, R_E, and your sources!
Eternal Domination should be interesting.
Sakashima is a Legendary Clone. Cool. I want 4 of those.
Shape Stealer is good. It can defeat a creature. Add a little damage prevention and it's good defense.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
you can also trade an island for a T&N's urza's tower and ruin their urzatron that way.
My thoughts exactly. Also it can respond to a land-destruction spell by switching the targetted land with an opponents land, effectivly making it a redirect of the spell. And I think in extended this can be a really good card, coz extended has way more good lands (i.e. wasteland, duals of all sorts). Hmm... 10 CC sorcery turn 4? Simple. Helix(3) imprinting Blue Epic + Serum Vision = turn 4 Blue Epic -> win the game.
Cut the Earthly Bond - U
Instant - Arcane
Return target enchanted permanent to its owner's hand.
Meh.. not very impressive.
Ugh, an awful epic spell.
Ghost-Lit Warder - 1U
Creature - Spirit
3U, T: Counter target spell unless its controller pays 2.
Channel - 3U, Discard Ghost-Lit Warder: Counter target spell unless its controller pays 4.
1/1
Not the worst card, maybe itll find a place in mono u because of its cheap casting cost and relevent ability. Still, in late game if i was going to choose a countering creature, i'd go with soratami savant, and i still wouldn't play that.
2/2
People seem to misunderstand how this card works. Essentially, you remove 3 instants from your library, and can play them for their cmc (so no blue mana needed). However, you aren't playing copies of the cards, you're playing the cards themselves, meaning that once you play them they go to the grave. Also, this DOES NOT combo with time stop, as when time stop removes itself it lose all memory of being removed with kaho in the first place.
As such, the card is a tutor for 3 instants, of which you can only play one at a time. In Constructed, i'll pass. In limited, it might be useful...
Meishin, the Mind Cage - 4UUU
Legendary Enchantment (R)
Creatures get -X/-0, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
Meh, way too high a cost for this enchantment, but if you get it into play you should be able to survive any attacks at all. Still not constructed worthy.
Murmurs from Beyond - 2U
Instant - Arcane
Reveal the top three cards of your library. An opponent chooses one. Put that card into your graveyard and the rest into your hand.
Hmmm, this card is interesting. Decent casting cost, but your opponent choose what you get, meaning not very good in mono-u. Still, UG might like this since witness recursion can get back any lost cards.
Oboro Breezecaller - 1U
Creature - Moonfolk Wizard
Flying
2, Return a land you control to its owner's hand: Untap target land.
1/1
This card actually has some powerful effects, some which people may not realize. For example, it has the ability to bounce ALL BUT ONE land you have back to your hand. (Use ability, send a tapped land to hand, untap a tapped land used for the ability, rinse and repeat till all but one land are gone.) This card can help with color screw, etc. This card can help you dodge ponza, and dodge say thoughts of rain. Similarly, it comboes well with the maros and the wisdom cards, especially soramoro...
A very good card for limited, though there may be some constructed uses.
Rushing-Tide Zubera - 2UU
Creature - Zubera Spirit
When Rushing-Tide Zubera is put into a graveyard from play, if 4 or more damage was dealt to it this turn, draw three cards.
3/3
Zuberas were only constructed worthy before with sack effects. Therefore, these new ones are only good in limited.
Sakashima the Impostor - 2UU
Legendary Creature - Human Rogue (R)
As Sakashima the Impostor comes into play, you may choose a creature in play. If you do, Sakashima comes into play as a copy of that creature, except its name is still Sakashima the Impostor, it's still legendary, and it gains "2UU: Return Sakashima to its owner's hand at end of turn.".
3/1
A decent shapeshifter who can perform very powerful tricks in any environment, with a non-bad cost. Playable.
Secretkeeper - 3U
Creature - Spirit
As long as you have more cards in hand than each opponent, Secretkeeper gets +2/+2 and has flying.
2/2
Meh, maybe for limited. Not playable in constructed.
Shape Stealer - UU
Creature - Shapeshifter Spirit
Whenever Shape Stealer blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, change Shape Stealer's power and toughness to that creature's power and toughness until end of turn.
1/1
Playabe in constructed? Check. 2 mana card that can stop all damage from a sundering titan is nice, or can take out numerous other fatties for 2 mana.
Shifting Borders - 3U
Instant - Arcane
Exchange control of two target lands.
Splice onto Arcane 3U
Well, anti-tooth tech in constructed. Does mono u need it? Nope. WIll it use it? Probably.
In limited, this card will be fantastic at causing color screw.
Shinen of Flight's Wings - 4U
Creature - Spirit
Flying
Channel - U, Discard Shinen of Flight's Wings: Target creature gains flying until end of turn.
3/3
Limited: Fantastic
Constructed: DOn't bother
Trusted Advisor - U
Creature - Human Advisor
Your maximum hand size is increased by two.
At the beginning of your upkeep, return a blue creature you control to its owner's hand.
1/2
It can bounce itself to avoid the drawback, and with the magpie and other methods of drawing available, this card is very nice...

I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
Shifting Borders: You use it to give the other player a Legendary land, and therefore make you Visitor Unblockable. I thought that was obvious. The other route is to pay the mana to bounce the Oboro Palace, then stack this on top of that, so that you get it back to your hand, and steal one of their lands. Woot. Who EVER would have thought that blue would have land stealing mana acceleration? Freaky.
Oh, heck, and it's spliceable. That means that every turn you can play some little blue spell, and steal another land from the opponent. Sure it's a BIT mana intensive..but you ARE stealing lands, afterall.
Have I figured this wrong, or can that pretty much put the enemy into a no mana lock pretty quick?
