Wouldn't it be more Logical for the White Kirin to have 'you may destroy all.....' since the blue, and with that all (Or at least almost all if I'm forgetting something) other spiritcraft cards have you may instead of forcing you to use it's ability...
Araba Mothrider seems like a good weenie, a more splashable Skyhunter, it isn't nearly as effective but it has it's positives...
Kataki, War's Wage is one of those cards I'm sorry they print, I mean, he's an eficient weenie with no logical ability, and isn't there enough artifact hate already? C'mon....
Nikko-Onna another cool card in there, he's effecient, he has a cool ability (Tough I like the green one more) and at it's cost he's more playable then the green one...
Reverence is a card I think costs one mana too many to be playable, I mean at three mana you have Ghostly Prison in an uncommon slot, this card may be final, there's no way a 1 or 2/X can attack unless they get pumped, but as a rare I think it could have costed at least less....
Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant/Rune-Tail's Essence is already easier to flip then the other two I've seen in this cycle, but It's still not going to be easy......
Well, you can't play Evermind, so it's more of a bombo. If there's a 0 mana Spirit in the set, though... (Conspiracy/Ornithopter seems like a bit too much trouble :))
Say vangard Seshiro the Anointed ... build-in Conspiracy
G/W all-spirit-craft get a 0 cc armageddon... (and the 1cc soulshift 7 guy)

The Shinen seem like the worst cycle in the block... I mean, other cycles had crap in them, but they had playable gems... The shinen suck, and the white one cinches it.

Underling Ethu's 263rd report read simply "Yes, my lord.Overwhelmingly, my lord." This marked the end of the Mirran-Phyrexian War.
why such artifact hate...none of the artifacts in the set or the block (save, the jitte) require a kataki wars wage card...
celestial kirin is allright, but often times wont do anything at all, same with the red one. at least the blue one always does something. not too much exciting here for me.
Ummm, i could sea a deck easily built around the white shinen that could be amazingly powerful, and certainly could prevent someone from keeping much on the board....
The only problem such a deck would have would be muc, but it could still be darn powerful

White Kirin + Evermind = Armageddon right?
Not really. You can't play Evermind. You can cast Ornithopter though. That's hot. White Kirin + Ornithopter leaves them with no land and you with a 3/3 flying creature and an 0/2 flying creature (at least)
You could even play Chrome Mox (with Imprint) to destroy all the lands and still have a mana source. White Weenie loves the white Kirin since Armageddon was such a strong strategy way back when.

Meh. Basically a 2/4 wall.
Or a perfect way to get ninjas out.
I don't think I would play this card as an additional way to get ninjas out. Especially considering there are cheap creature with evasion at the 2cc slot that actually do something. UW decks will like this card quite a bit though, at least ones that are based on stalling the ground and winning through evasion (in other words, all good UW limited decks)

Hmm. Much like the other Kirin - pretty good, but not as good as everyone hoped. Still, a 3/3 flyer for 4 with an interesting ability.
You are, of course, joking. This is an absolute bomb in any deck with a variety of casting costs and a complete crushing for White Weenie in block. "Hmm, you appear to have a Jitte, a Pale Curtain and 8.5 Tails in play. I cast Peer through Depths."
First thing I thought when I saw this card was 'hmm, I guess WW is dead.'
Land doesn't have a coverted cost right... and no cost is different then a cost of zero, right?
(Not sure)

Right but the only way to kill the land with the spirit is to have a Spirit or Arcane spell cost 0. There aren't any. You can't play Evermind since it's reminder text says so. If somehow you had conspiracy out and you played Ornithopter or a Kobold THEN you could destroy all the land. But that' becomes a three card Armageddon. You could Artificial Evolution the White Spirit thing to say Kobold. But as it stands, Evermind won't kill all the land because you just can't play it at all. It's CMC is 0 but you'll never actually play the card since you can only splice it.

Yeah Energy Flux. Lattice does nothing to affinity. But Affinity isn't in standard either. I want to play THis guy then play Lattice to turn everything into an artifact and make them pay 1 for everything they own.

Curtain of Light - 1W
Instant

Not bad. It replaces itself, so that's cool. The effect is too defensive for anything outside limited, and even then, it's only really useful if you're behind on creatures. In which case, you're only delaying the inevitable. But sometimes buying yourself some time can be enough.
Hail of Arrows - XW
Instant (U)
Hail of Arrows deals X damage divided as you choose among any number of target attacking creatures.
Nice. It turned out to be the best of the speculated versions we had. White removal at its best. Easy to attain a lot of card advantage, especially with so many creatures with tiny asses running around.
Might as well have had defender. a 2/4 blocker for 2 is nice. Neat trick is that you can attack, knowing that your opponent won't bother to block it, then you can zip out a Ninja! Hee.
Kataki, War's Wage - 1W
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
All artifacts have "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this artifact unless you pay 1.".

Well that's ..... disappointing. Where's our white No Mercy? So it's a smaller Energy Flux on a 2/1 for 2? Not horrible by a long shot, but his story had me hyped up for something so much better. Damn.
Kitsune Dawnblade - 4W
Creature - Fox Samurai

Not so great. It's got a small body and a cip ability which isn't that amazing.
Moonwing Moth - 1WW
Creature - Insect
Flying
W: Moonwing Moth gets +0/+1 until end of turn.
2/1
Reminds me of Tower Drake, as in: not that good. Though a flying blocker with the potential to survive any scuffle is not too too bad. It takes out most of the more commonly played Soratami and can 'chump' block dragons and big spirits all day long. So basically it's a reasonable wall, but not much more than that.
Nikko-Onna - 2W
Creature - Spirit
When Nikko-Onna comes into play, destroy target enchantment.
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may return Nikko-Onna to its owner's hand.
2/2
Like the other Onnas, I find it's cip ability to be secondary. I like them for their ability to retun to hand as damage is assigned, making them very resilient. Plus you can nuke a Honden or opposing Cage of Hands if need be. All on a Grey Ogre. Not the best of the bunch, but still not a tragedy.
Reverence - 2WW
Enchantment (R)
Creatures with power 2 or less can't attack you.
Mmmmmmm, Humility loves this card. As it stands, Samurai naturally have smaller power because of Bushido, and many of the block's most-used creatures are on the small side. You still need to fear the big guys, but without the little guys chipping in, it's harder for the big guys to do their work. It seriously slows any weenie strategy, assuming you get it out in time.
Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant - 2W
Legendary Creature - Fox Monk (R)
2/2 When you have 30 or more life, flip Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant.
//flip// Rune-Tail's Essence

Not too shabby. Obviously a Casual card, but a fun one at least. Flipping him isn't hard and he's pretty good once you do. Flipped, he makes Earthquake and its variants into uneven waves of death. Mmmmmm, BBQ!
Shinen of Stars' Light - 2W
Creature - Spirit (C)
First strike
Channel - 1W, Discard Shinen of Stars' Light: Target creature gains first strike until end of turn.

Used correctly, its Channel ability can save a guy who would otherwise die, but other than that it's just an okay creature. Nothing big, nothing bad.

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned as i have only read the first couple of pages of this thread, but we still don't have the full text for Ghost-Lit Redeemer. According to the spoiler it doesn't have an activated ability unlike the rest of the Ghost-Lit creatures. My guess is it will be something like ":symw: ,:symtap: : You gain 2 life" which would bring it line with the rest of them.
