Yep, it's Tuesday, 12:01 AM, and Wizards has put up the preview card, this time in an article by Mark Gottleib (MaGo). So without further adeiu:
No keyword, but still a pretty card. It's an autodonator. At first glance, I thought its ability activated from the graveyard, but now I see it doesn't. This means that this card has a quick nickname: Hot Potato!

interesting card.. 8 life would be pretty costly, would make it pretty interesting later in the game thats for sure.. would suck to cast it then not put anything in your graveyard though.. ouch.
It would be a funny deck to play with this and the white enchantment that you can't be the target or spells or abilities.
"Oh I play this and give it to you....Oh I cannot be the target of you giving it to me.... sorry but lose 8 life"

Current Type 2 deck: Snakes on a flying thing
Current Type 1 deck(s): SerraBomber & "Cheaper by the Lazuli"
I just realized that this isn't just a one turn hot potato either, since it onle "pops" at the end of YOUR turn. This thing could pass between the players for several turns, just so long as you can feed it. It seems Black will have no problem finding a way to keep it in good hands - other peoples' hands, that is - with it's sacrifice effects and whatnot.

“Game over,” Lursen said. “Demon’s Horn.”
Demon’s Horn has a reputation in multiplayer games, Lursen said.“Usually if somebody in multiplayer plays a Demon’s Horn, we all just immediately attack that person, because he’s going to win,” Lursen said.
Actually, more like you play it, its an enchantment you control. You do something to kill it (Dis/Naturalize) or just let it resolve at end of turn, losing you 8 life and putting it into your graveyard.
During their upkeep, you play an instant (Rend Flesh) on their creature. Ok, you just put a Rend Flesh (a card) into your graveyard, from anywhere. Return the Measure to play under your opponents control. They are now the controller, so all references of "you" are them.
End of their turn, they sacrifice it and lose 8 life. Goes to your graveyard, being the owner. Gets to your turn, play a non permanent or attack with a creature to get it killed, then return the measure to play under their control again. But it will only trigger during their EoT, since they'll control it.
The Epic spell might be nice; get like four of them into play (but you better have something in play to kill it) then put any others into play to make your opponent kill them or you using some sac bag to do so and returning a whole cluster-f--- to their playfield.
EDIT: Well, screw me, I thought it was a graveyard trigger, but yeah, the hot grenade reference is more like it. Ignore my post -_-
New Rules come out for 1999 6th Edition... "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO PORTAL! THE GAME IS RUINED! EVERYONE PETITION AND GET THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK!"
New Rules come out for 2010 Edition... "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO YU-GI-OH! THE GAME IS RUINED! EVERYONE PETITION AND GET THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK!"
New Rules come out for *Reserved for something in 2020* "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO *currently "simple" game by the more "skilled" players*! THE GAME IS..." etc.
Hmmm... not bad, actually. I see this more as an added bonus to a deck that has a lot of sac effects or spells than something to base a deck off of, though- if you base a deck off of something, it should win when you get it, and while this is close, I don't think it is quite enough to get it's own deck.

Drop this. Drop Bile Urchin . Smile wryly at your opponent. But seriously it looks like a fun card. Not on par with Confusion in the Ranks for creating mass confusion but fun nontheless.

Only one problem - it doesn't work from your graveyard.

Well first, I agree with other people on the hot potato reference. Secondly, I have to wonder if this could be used in some sort of B/x Aggro-Control, becuase it would make an interesting semi-finisher, since it does work with creature kill from hand, since their creature dies before your spell goes to the 'yard. Any thoughts?
Oh, and Measure of Wickedness? Does anyone else think this is a terrible and overly-wordy name?:whatever:

just think of it as Ankh (you know... an Ankh) More Pork, Ian. That's how I remember it :tongue2: (without the e, anyway)
That's how to remember my name. Or, you could just read the Discworld Novels by Terry Pratchett. I recommend the second method.:)

i was looking for a little something to go in my Sakura-Tribe Elder / Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker deck and man oh man does this little baby want an audition...
I don't get it right does it trigger from your graveyard? or only triggers if it is in play, if so why does it say "another card is put into your graveyard"?
its iight, and I'm surprised that the cost isnt 6-7-8? It might see some play if they construct a deck around it. I already have a couple of ideas like....wait I'm probably spoiling plans for mtg world domination already!!! umm...uhh... I gotta go feed my cat *runs away* :biggrin3::grin2::biggrin3:

Hang on, I need my gibber-to-english dictionary. Ah yes, here it is,
You have seen the rest of the block, right? "Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers" or whatever is a mouthful.
To me, the main difference is that "Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers"
1. Rolls off the tongue more easily than "Measure of Wickedness"
2. It has an easy and clear shorthand(Okina). What are you going to call Measure of Wickedness? Wickedness Measure?

Meh.
I actually like anything that does weird amounts of harm, like 8 life (or damage - go Mindblaze!)
