Yeah, I neglected to mention that there were no unicorns. I don't think that this suggests that the Kirin are really Kirin Spirits, the only good reason for them to be that is if they intereacted with other Kirin, in which case there would be at least 3 instances of Kirin on each card (assuming that it will be in the title: title, creature type, rules text). I was just saying if they were going to give it another type, the other type would be unicorn. But the fact that there isn't unicorns leads me to believe that they will simply be spirits.
Also, on the weapons, the following don't come up (I don't think these were tried):
Daikyu
Aiguchi
Die Tsuchi (tried "tsuchi")
Nage-yari
Nagamaki
Ono
Sasumata
Sodegarami
Jo
Kama
Nunchaku
In addition I've tried about every name I cna think of for Japanese armor or pieces of Japanese armor.
New Rules come out for 1999 6th Edition... "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO PORTAL! THE GAME IS RUINED! EVERYONE PETITION AND GET THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK!"
New Rules come out for 2010 Edition... "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO YU-GI-OH! THE GAME IS RUINED! EVERYONE PETITION AND GET THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK!"
New Rules come out for *Reserved for something in 2020* "THEY'RE TURNING MAGIC INTO *currently "simple" game by the more "skilled" players*! THE GAME IS..." etc.
These forms are normally used for things like "All non-spirit creatures get," or "whenever you play a non-spirit creature..." Likely to be in rules text, since "non-spirit" isn't really a flavor item.
Can we get these all coallated into the one thread via mod? It's getting alttle repetitive, sorry if this has been said before, but there's not much use in posting words we've discovered on page 5, now on page 8-9-10.
Sorry if I offended anyone :), I just think it'll be easier to analyse with a dedicated thread to lists of findings...
Oh well, back to do more hunting...
Edit:
Based on the findings for the P/T, the only possible P/T for the Kirin cycle is 3/3, unless, they each have varying P/T (one has 4/5, another has 3/4, etc) also, the mana costs appear to be pretty inconsistent, similar to the Myojin, rather than the Dragons.
Here's something funny. I searched for sweep, rememebing that someone mentioned that as some sort of mechanic. Comes up 4 times. Low for a keyword, but kinda high for just soem random word, right?
Perhaps there is an equipment that only cares that it is equipped to something. In this case it might read "As long as ~ is attached to a creature..." and thus avoid using the word equipped. It could even be more specific such as "As long as ~ is attached to a spirit..." or "As long as ~ is attached to a white creature..."
Also, one of those equipments is almost certainly Manriki-Gusari, which just leaves 2 I guess.
As i already posted, there are 2 equipment cards (equip shows up in both rules and reminder text and the "equipped creature gets.." clause appears once per card, so equip 4 and equipped 2 makes sense.)
therefore the equipment 3 means that there are a maximum of 2 equipment cards, but also a card that cares about equipment (whether that be one of the two equipments or a godo-like/steelshapers gift searching creature or a leonin type creature)

Hopefully a cycle of nonbasic lands and the 6th could just be some green mana producer.

land and x have the same number both... sounds like a mechanic to me. possibly that land bouncing to size an effect mechanic mentioned somewhere.

Shadowmoor's Infinite combos
Mana: 27
Cost: 22
Pretty similar enough that I'm willing to bet a few of those cards have the words "mana cost" in their text.
EDIT: On the other hand, don't get too many hopes for cost reducers-
Reduce: 0
Pay: 6
Less: 9
Not very reduc-arific in terms of words.
