And the game has a big part of luck. You just draw your death cloud and you win, you just draw your second kokusho, you win, your opponent has 4 life, you draw you pulse of the forge
your opponent play ravager, you draw your damping matrix et then lucky too he draw his oxydize
Always luck in magic
If you have four Death Clouds, Kokushos, Pulses, and Oxidizes, that is less luck and more probability, If you only have one copy of the card? Luck all around.
As stated above, one-ofs with no tutors meant you need a skilled shuffling hand and tons of luck to draw them when you need them, and having more of them is more probability.
As for my suggestion, maybe they can touch on like.. Destroy X target creatures where X is the number of legendary permanents you control. Something to reward you for playing legends. Afterall, this set is heavy on the legends.

Just a quick note: the word "Wisdom" only appears in SOK once (according to the Orb of Insight). So either the mechanic is named something else or "Wisdom" is just the development name for the mechanic.
Epic appears 10 Times. This means that - assuming there is one for each color - the name is mentioned once in the card's title and once and only once on the card. If each Epic refers to itself exactly once, that narrows the choices of what it could be.
Personally, I think it lends credence to the theory that the Epic mechanic is similar to Legendary except for spells and that each Epic can be played only once per game. A clause along the lines of "You may not play ~ if there is a card with the same name in a graveyard" could easily be fit the bill functionwise and flavorwise. "You may not play ~ if a spell with the same name has been played this gane" would be better, but WOTC shies away from making players remember things that may have happened a while ago. But given the nature of these spells (as they are supposed to be superpowerful), it seems it would be easy to remember if they have been played or not since they should have had quite an impact on the game.
The "once and only once" thing also rules out the card refering to itself to give instructions to the game (such as Mutilate) or if they do then the "~ may only be played once per game" theory is wrong.
Kirn does the same. It be funny if the cards were named "Epic Kirin of Light" and referenced itself that way Doubt it, but possible.

I'm pretty sure "Wisdom" is nickname for the "hand matters" theme.
An extended narrative poem in elevated or dignified language, celebrating the feats of a legendary or traditional hero.
A literary or dramatic composition that resembles an extended narrative poem celebrating heroic feats.
A series of events considered appropriate to an epic: the epic of the Old West.
The first one seems to have the connection, with the word "legendary" right in there. However, the problem here is that as a noun, an epic is a story; not a person, place, or thing. So it's unlikely that "epic" would be a type of permanent. Let's explore further:
adj.
Of, constituting, having to do with, or suggestive of a literary epic: an epic poem.
Surpassing the usual or ordinary, particularly in scope or size: “A vast musical panorama... it requires an epic musical understanding to do it justice” (Tim Page).
Heroic and impressive in quality: “Here in the courtroom... there was more of that epic atmosphere, the extra amperage of a special moment” (Scott Turow).
It still seems that epic is nothing more than a synonym for legendary. However, the second definition hints at something: scope and size. Epic must be something big. Bigger than legendary.
I'm getting the impression that "epic" may have something to do with sorceries; big effects on an epic scale or involving legendary people and places.
I'm getting the impression the Epic will be a new supertype for non-permanent spells, like Legendary is for permanents...
Epic Sorcery
Epic Instant
I'm supposing that this will be a "loaded" supertype, like Legendary (only one of each named permanent in play) with Epic meaning only one of each named spell in any graveyard, all others would be countered or something.
Any thoughts on this?

Yes. I think this is probably it...nice work. It fits w/legendary theme, is simple to understand, and is elegant. I just wonder if they limit it to Arcane-only stuff, since this is the 'Legendary Realm' or whatever. Hope not.
It would be a cranked up spell, with some sort of '~ may only be played once per game' clause in there.
I do not think that Epic and lengendary are related. The only thing that Epic is going to do is with is peraments, not Is and Ss. I feel that you guys are going down the wrong path.
Wisdom is probably like Tribal. More of a theme than a mechanic.
I think Epic may have something to do with Instants and Sorceries as well, but I'm not convinced they're card types. I'm guessing with 10 instances appearing in the Orb (Lantern?) that 5 could be from the rules text and 5 could be from the reminder text.
Epic Board Sweeper, ?WW
Sorcery
Destroy all creatures.
Epic (Players cannot play spells or abilities in response to Epic spells.)
I do not think that Epic and lengendary are related. The only thing that Epic is going to do is with is peraments, not Is and Ss. I feel that you guys are going down the wrong path.
If Epic deals w/permanents then it will be a keyword, as I firmly believe they wouldn't bother with another supertype for permanents given Legendary already handles this. There has long been speculation about the various caveats regarding using Legendary on non-permanent spells (ie Sorceries and Instants) and I believe that this is territory Wizards wants to delve into, but has thusfar been unable due to the Legend Rule. So they overhaul the Legend Rule in CoK and wait until the last set in the block to experiment with their ideas for a similar supertype for Sorceries and Instants... if it works out, we will be seeing these in the future, if not... nothing too great has been lost. They can scrub the idea or go back to the drawing board with it.
Another reason I believe Epic will be a supertype for non-permanent spells is the definition and connotation of the word Epic.
Compare it to something that is Legendary... a person, creature, place, item, enchantment, etc... (ie permanent) that is meant to be unique. Epic implies something unique as well, but more of an event (something transitory, non-permanent...or non-physical if you will). When someone says that something was "Epic" they are normally referring to something that has happened, not something that existed. Card examples to follow.
Also, I believe that "wisdom" is simply referring to the hand-size matters theme, not a keyword and that the Orb result will be in a Card Title.
Last interesting tidbit from the Orb is the 12 occurrences of Channel. Could this possibly be a keyword in the set?
Channel (You may pay X life instead of paying the mana cost for ~.)
Food for thought?:)
Examples:
The "Epic" Rule: When a spell with the Epic supertype is placed on the stack, that spell is countered if a spell with the same name is any in RFG zone (or something to this effect.)
Infernal Desire 3BBB
Epic Sorcery
Channel (with reminder text)
Search your library for 3 cards and put them into your hand. Remove Overwhelming Desire from the game.
Dosan's Wisdom 3GGG
Epic Sorcery
Channel (with reminder text)
Put a +X/+X counter on all target creatures you control, where X is the number of cards in your hand. Remove Dosan's Wisdom from the game.
Beyond the Curtain 3UUU
Epic Sorcery
Channel (with reminder text)
Each player discards their hands, then you draw cards equal to the total number of cards discarded this way. Remove Beyond the Curtain from the game.
Overwhelming Presence 3RRR
Epic Sorcery
Channel (with reminder text)
Gain control of X creatures, where X is the number of cards in your hand. Remove Overwhelming Presence from the game.
Dream of Honor 3WWW
Epic Sorcery
Channel (with reminder text)
Destroy all creatures. Each player gains life equal to the total toughness of all creatures destroyed this way. Remove Dream of Honor from the game.
The same concept would work for instants, provided that when they resolve they are removed from the game. This would provide for a cycle of Epic Sorceries and a cycle of Epic instants.

I'm more fascinated by the fact that Channel appears 12 times. That's really interesting...but the black card you have there is sooo broken. Three cards you choose for 6 life? I'll take 4. Make that 8. Ah hell, let's put one in EVERY BLACK DECK EVER MADE.
What if Epic is just a keyword for "can't be countered" spells like Urza's Rage and Last Word etc. Would kind of make sense, spells too strong to stop with counter magic.
The Channel mechanic might be interesting, but it's out of flavour for everything but Black. Perhaps sacrificng other resources like creatures, land, card in hand/graveyard/library, artifacts etc.

I'm old school, about as OLD school as they get. think 4th Edition/Ice Age old school. Unfortunatley in the "Real world" you cant Incinerate your bank manager and sadly now I have joined the ranks of the older population, and my time is taken up by things like reasearching Mortgage Refinance Rates and where to get the best possible mortgage quotes. I have however discovered the joys of Online Forex Trading which at least allows me to keep the bills in check!
For me the "epic" word can't design a mechanic or a new spell's type. There is no "epic things", just "epic stories". Perhaps something like this :
Takeno's Epic Victory WWW
Sorcery
If you control a crature named "Takeno, Samurai general" and a land named "Valley of the Great Victory", remove all spirits in play from the game.
or like this :
The Epic Gathering 3GG
Legendary Enchantment
As long as you control five legendary creatures or more, you can't lose the game.
what do you think about it ?
It could explain the 35 control and 4 controls occurences
Would be kind of cool...IIRC one of the ad promos described "Epic" cards as "some of the most powerful cards in the game". If so, they would either be ridiculously expensive, have insane drawbacks, or have a triggered ability on a precondition or game state that's insanely difficult to achieve, i.e. maybe something even more powerful than "you can't lose" and more difficult to achieve than "five legendary creatures".
This is reminding me of the hype Prophecy's Winds got when the set was being previewed. Watch the entire set begin to suck after people have been to the prerelease.
*shakes head* Give it up folks...this is deader than Michael Jackson at a PTA meeting.

What if it was something similar to the "Song Enchantments" from Urza's block?
To provide a example, that's probably not too terribly great:
Bob's Legendary Life Boost
WW
Enchantment
Epic(When you play a legendary creature put a Fnord counter on ~this~).
When ~this~ has 3 Fnord counters, sacrifice it. If you do, gain 10 life.
Just a random thought.
