Another thing to consider about whether the indestructability will last without the artifact:
Form of the Squirrel has a static ability which causes a squirrel to come into play, and makes you lose when it leaves play. This problem still exists on that token, even if you lose the Form later on! It's pretty similar to this example, here.
I didn't mention it in my prior post because using an Unhinged card to explain rules is, um, well... pretty obvious, that. Anyways, though, it's certainly possible that that's not the correct wording of this card (the points have already been made), but we can only use what we know, y'know?
To anyone saying this isn't a Limited bomb because it's a rare: So by that line of thought, Konda, the Dragons, and all the other crazy-strong Limited rares in CHK aren't bombs. Oh yeah, I guess you're right. [/sarcasm]
Limited bombs tend to be rares, because they're strong enough to be bombs. This will be a limited bomb because Limited is slow enough for this to matter, and when this starts to matter, it becomes downright awesome.
It's not a bomb because it's far too slow and doesn't do enough. You're paying an initial investment of NINE MANA to make ONE PERMAMENT indestructible, which really won't do much towards helping you win. You'd be much better off casting creatures or removal with that nine mana. It's not a bomb, and on further thought, I don't think I'd even play it if I opened it in sealed.
ok first off im not dissing people who like unhinged and unglued but who would want to play with moronic cards like form of the squirrel and then take a potentially good card like that which was taken and make a deck that would never be aloud to play.

Take a look at this week's Feature Article. Scroll down 'till you see this art.
If you read the article by Rei Nakazawa, you can easily see how this art may go with That Which Was Taken.
Is this the source of the kami's divinity? Is this why they're so P.O.ed? Is this why Konda is immortal? Is this one question too many?

well yeah.. it fits the story of the first book.. the pillar.. the dragon-demon-esque creature "curled" in the disk.. the disk floating over the pillar.. the small room.. seems that's it.. the disk made at michiko's birth..

Yep, they're ticked because Konda took something, and there'll be a card of what he took, so a card named 'That Which was Taken' seems like a good bet.

Who other than I have thought immediately about Leonin Abunas being ridiculous with this card?
T&N Abunas/Angel with TWWT out. Dump counter on Abunas, dump counter on Angel next turn. Laugh, do a little dance. [/Gottlieb]
Yes, there's some stuff that can get around it.... but not much.
barter in blood comes to mind, as does the black shoal.
though this might be the best use of twwt i've seen so far.
tnnt can shoot out the mana pretty quickly with urzatron...
still, i think it's pretty much :puke: in t2.
Umm... Excuse me but didn't anyone read the whole card. It can put a counter everything but itself therefore it is exposed which means this doesn't work. Otherwise it would be broken. Why you ask? Oxidize, echoing ruin, shatter, shaman, demolish, rain of rust, tel-jilad justice, splinter, crystal witness, glissa, molder slug, creeping mold, deconstruct detonate, dismantle, scrapper, hearth kami, goblin replica, naturalize, purge, wear away, zealot, rustmouth ogre, krark-clan engineers, goblin archaeologist, annul, Altars light, icy manipulator, even rebuking ceremony. Thats why you dont play it.

To underestimate the rat is to welcome death with open arms. To challenge the guinea pig is to attempt flight without wings. To honour a mouse is to show reverence for all of Mother Nature. To understand all of this is attempting to unravel the secrets and meaning of creation... NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!!:dance2:

Why bother using twwt when you can just usse the angel with greaves on the abunas.

Hmmm... so far I only see three ways to grant That Which Was Taken permanent indestructibility...
1. Darksteel Forge
2. animation + Quicksilver Elemental
3. Sacrificing it in response to activation, somehow getting it back to play, then redirecting the ability to it (it counts as "another permanent" now)
Probably yes...compare it to Sensei Golden-Tail. He says that the creature GAINS bushido 1 and becomes a Samurai along with putting a training counter on it. No matter if SGT later leaves play or the counter is removed, the creature is B1 Samurai. This is different, because it has to say: Put a divinity counter on target creature; this creature becomes indestructible as long as it have a divinity counter on it.

I don't know what to make of that. Of what I can gather from the book, that wall should have the mural that depicts konda standing next to the Myojin of Cleansing Fire as an equal, commanding troops. I'm not quite sure what is in the picture though...

If you came here expecting a signature, you've just wasted your time.
I agree with Silicon, in the books it talked about the Myojin of Cleansing fire crying when Konda captured the kami. But that figure doesn't look like a Myojjin, looks more like Konda himself.
I don't think that analysing the picture will help you figure out what the card does. We know what the picture depicts, (the thing Konda used to trap the myojin) where it is, (Konda's personal room in the top of his tower) and not much else about it.
My guess is that it has some cool ability against spirits. Since in the books Konda used it to trap a Myojjin, maybe it removes Indestructibility? Or maybe you tap it to destroy a spirit? Something along those lines....WAIT
You know...I just might have thought of something...If you read the book, you'd know that Konda's appearance hasn't changed since he got this...thing...so that would mean he's not aging, meaning he's immortal...meaning he's Indestructible? Where do you think he received Indestructibility on his card from? I bet this statue thingie gives him his indestructibility so that would mean that this card is...
That Which Was Taken - 5
Legendary Artifact
4, T: Put a divinity counter on target permanent other than That Which Was Taken. Each permanent with a divinity counter on it is indestructible.
Which makes sense, seeing as how this statue trapped a Kami, so the kami was "that which was taken" so I bet you loads of money that this picture goes with That Which Was Taken. I deserve a badge for such awesome detective work!!! OH yeah!!!!

I'm NOT AT ALL ABLE to build Madness, since I'm already building one for my partner in crime. Before you suggest a deck, check if it is madness. If the deck you were going to suggest IS in fact Madness, instead of posting, discard 2 cards.
A little triple postage action, eh? Yeah, I think it goes without saying that "That Which was Taken" is that magical thingy Konda took that pissed off all the kami. Hey look, it's a white villain! :yikes:
im pretty sure that this is the artifact that konda uses to trap the myojjin and probably steal their divinity(powers) wich would both explain the reason why konda is indestructrable and why this puts divinity counters and the reason the kami are in such an oproar (when you steal the power from ur gods they get pissed)
