From a reliable source of mine. This one's for sure. Thanks, source!!!
Gods' Eye, Gate to the Reikai
Legendary Land (U)
: Add to your mana pool.
When Gods’ Eye, Gate to the Reikai is put into a graveyard from play, put a 1/1 colorless Spirit creature token into play.
So...
1) Yes, there's at least one land in this set. Hunter, get to work!
2) An uncommon legendary land, that's interesting. What's the flavour of that? It's a unique, one of a kind place, that you find slightly more often than a rare, unique, one of a kind place? Hmmm.
3) Kinda cool in a deck with Armageddon effects. Better yet, Devastation effects. :yikes:
4) I think there's a combo possible with this. Because you can play land for free, if you've got a way to sacrifice this, it's like a "free" 1/1 Spirit. In fact, it generates one mana when you do it. Crucible of Worlds turns this into a free (actually mana generating), uncounterable creature every turn. Now, if only there was a Fastbond variant available...
............ no, that's not a hint. I don't have any more cards to spoil. Do you? Get out there and find stuff!
The cards coming in is (wow this is bad) making my head spin,... :evil2:
I warned you...anyway, yeah that is at least an interesting card.
Possibly abusable, although only time, and spoiled cards will tell.

Lies! -I'm Buffy Summers, town tracker. I used my ability on you and saw that you didn't use any abilities before the game started. My flavor is I was sucked through a mysterious space-time portal and I'm here to kill all the vampires, and my tracking ability is a combination of my Slayer and Native American skills.
the flavor is kinda bland to me. for sure. it would be last picked in drafts. yay for another filler.
For many decks, I'll agree it would be a 15th-pick. But if I'm playing aggro red, I'm going to pick this HIGH. Mana Seism, Akki Avalanchers, and Akki Raider are all going to love this card, and it gets even better if the 6th Genju affects Legendary Lands, because then this becomes a stronger Dripping-Tongue Zubera. But in most cases, it is pretty much crap in Limited, I'll agree, but I think it has some potential in Constructed.
Sweet! If nothing else, it's decent anti ponza stuff. At best, it's an awesome combo waiting to be broken. I think it's all of these.
As for the "Uncommon Legendary Land" thing... Well, there are many unique places. In fact, one could argue that every location is unique. What this is, I think, is an area like, I don't know, Disneyland, which has a reputation, and hundreds of thousands of people flock too. Putting it into magic terms: It's a gate. Probably a gate to some bigger thing. Lots of people see this gate. Lots of people go to this Reikai place to SEE this gate. It's not rare to find it overrun with Kamigawa "Tourists." On the other hand, how many people will go into a building that's flying in thin air(Minamo) or an extremely violent Ogre's pad(Shinka)? It's just not common practice to travel there, but it is to this gate. If this makes no sense, I understand.

Good flavor points there. I feel like it's the same thing as uncommon Legendary creatures. Some are just more well-known than others and it makes them FEEL more common, even though they're just as unique.
And am I the only one that thinks Shrines aren't Enchantments?
I might try abusing this with smokestack, and crucible of worlds. should allow me to get a decent tempo advantage by sac'ing the land, getting a token. sac'ing the token so I can another land drop in play.
After looking at a turboland deck and a crucible lock deck in the T1 forums i think i just found a new card to stick into em. This makes my inner johny just tingle with excitement to actually break this card in T2 and make some kind of crazy deck with it
Akki Avalanchers/Crucible of Worlds combo. Boo ya
well add and azusa and some other way to sacrifice you land and you have 3 tokens per turn... if only zuran orb came back
And am I the only one that thinks Shrines aren't Enchantments?
Yeah, why are they enchantments? They are locations- people go to them to worship. So what the hell are they doing being Enchantments, when they make so much more sense as lands? I thought we cleared this up when Sylvan Library went away...

It's not anything incredible but it's nice to have a land in the set. As people have already mentioned it's good against land D, with armageddon and combos nicely with crucible of worlds and any sack mechanism or even itself(go new legendary rule go).
with asuza and crucible out this becomes a fantastic token generator with 1 in play and 1 in your hand you can get 2 1/1's for free each turn.
Well the only real use I see for this is in maybe some kind of new deck with all these akki land-haters, but then again, maybe that'll become a good deck. Time will tell...

It looks good, but nothing special by itself. I wonder if this set will have a multi-land, like Darksteel had Mirrodin's Core...
Looks pretty fun too...
Edit: Hmm.. we definately need a Fastbond variant with Lifegift in BoK too...
Well, we do have Lifegift in this set too, who knows?
This card is alright.
For two land drops? No thanks. Good observation though, I did miss that.
Crucible of Worlds
Fastbond
Play this card. Play another copy of it. They both die... Do it again...
That's a lot of creatures.

You obliterate, and are guaranteed a creature for the next turn, thats HUGE.

replace 4 darksteel citadel with this, and you're set...
the legendary status would cause some problems though... :slant:

I doubt anything like this will ever be played with all of the hate artifacts are getting already via Affinity.
