Is there a deck builder or similar that allows me to paste my deck or collection and it tells me when each of the cards rotates out of standard (even by approximate dates)?
I've tried looking around Tappedout and similar websites and they do verify that a deck is standard legal, but don't give any warnings for which cards will rotate out soon.
It's not toooo difficult to memorize the set symbols and order of release for Standard, I think you won't bump into a tool like that because it's a pretty easy thing to manage mentally. For example, right now just figure which cards are SOI and which are EMN and when rotation hits, swap those. Wait however long for the next one and swap the KLD/AER cards.
A quick update just in case someone wanders in here and looks for something like this.
I had some spare time on my hands so I wrote a simple script that checks your deck for rotation and performs a general validation as well. This is just a fun hobby project but it it's pretty well tested and working.
It reads a deck file exported from MTGO /similar and interfaces with magicthegathering.io and whatsinstandard.com automatically for card information.
You can find it (including the source) here: https://github.com/JesperLarsson/pyMTGDeckCheck
Note that it does require you to install python to run it, but it shouldn't be too hard as the rest of the setup should be automatic and I wrote some basic instructions. I hope that at least it could be helpful for someone just getting into programming as a fun small program.
