I have a small request: in order to embed these images directly into a website it would be necessary, that all images are returned with rougly the same size / proportions (ie. of border-width to card-width). Could you return "low-res" cards from (yet) unscanned sets like BNG in the same upscaled resolution and with the same border width by default?
Example: http://mtgimage.com/card/Hero of Iroas.jpg is 223x310 with a thick border while http://mtgimage.com/card/Heartless Summoning.jpg is 480x680 with a thinner border
It would be totally okay if they looked blurry due to manual resizing.
Hello
You can very easily do this with CSS, allowing the browser to up-scale the images as necessary.
@sembiance - I2P card scans have already been released by the CCGHQ team.
Thanks. I already have the I2P scans up on MTGImage.
I actually mis-read Nyth's post. He was mentioning that I2P was different than 4th edition, which I already knew and already have the images up on mtgimage.com
I thought he was talking about 'Rival Quick Start Set' but he wasn't.
I just wanted to say how awesome your web site is. It saved me tons of time in some projects I was working on. Particularly the /card/ option. Thank you so much for putting this together!
Holy crap your sites are amazing! I build a prerelease sealed deck generator and I could have REALLY used your sites as a resource earlier...
Normally my site scrapes off the Wizard's prerelease page containing all of the set images, but with their new site they trickle the cards out like their old site but it's all one page, and after a week or so with everything spoiled they get rid of the spoiler image set and just direct you to Gatherer. Which is fine I guess except Gatherer only has small card images for M15!
The spoiler images are 265x370, whereas the largest image I can get out of Gatherer seems to be 223x310. I went through the images on your mtgimage.com site and see the same thing. Your M15 release only has 223x310 images.
Have you figured out a way to get larger images out of Gatherer? I've been hacking at the url to no avail:
I've been trying to append a "&size=large" querystring var or something but I can't get it to do anything except show me the card back. I thought you may have more experience with this. I assume your site sources some of it's info from Wizards?
I actually have all of the images, but I keep changing my parser and each time it re-builds it's entire list. And I like pointing to the images on Wizard's servers for a) bandwidth;), b) stability, and c) it's the "source".
So I'm trying to find a way to change my parser to be able to point to Gatherer and still get the 265x370 Wizard's images.
I know it's a bit specific, but it feels like there has to be SOME way to get the images off Wizards once they take down the prerelease spoiler gallery.
* Rivals Quick Start Set (RQS)
These are actually just 4th edition copies, as according to http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Rivals_Quick_Start_Set that is all they were when this set came out.
The cards look similar to Fourth Edition cards, but feature a 1996 copyright date and some reformatted text.
For collector purposes these are unique cards with different scans.
"You said you wanted to cast what?! Counter that!"
Thanks for the heads up. I've made a note of this on mtgimage.com and hopefully some day I'll locate scans for these cards.

Here is an example for you: http://telparia.com/mtgimage.html
You can 'View Source' on that page to see how it's done.
@quote - here's a quick example with css. You'll have to adjust the numbers to get the proper border size. http://jsfiddle.net/skibulk/6BB8j/

So in summary, there are no issues
I don't have any immediate plans to add non-english images. Sorry I don't have better news for you.
Unfortunately I don't have very many promos. They release a ton of them and it's hard to keep up. Sorry I don't have better news.

I've just added symbols to http://mtgimage.com
Mana symbols, set symbols and other symbols.
All available in multiple sizes and formats.
Hope some of you find it useful
