Revised the casting cost on Whispersilk Cloak to 3 from 1. 07/07/2010: Updated to reflect the full Magic 2011 spoiler available on WotC's website. 07/08/2010: Updated to fix minor typographical errors on the Cancrix, Veil, and Feast. 07/09/2010: Updated to reflect the errata'd ruling for Elixir of Immortality as per the MTGRULES-L Digest.
The format you should use for card entries:
Card Name:
Card Color:
Mana Cost:
Type & Class:
Pow/Tou:
Card Text:
Flavor Text:
Artist:
Rarity:
Card #:
To do Planeswalker Loyalty, use %X# in the Pow/Tou line, where X is the starting loyalty.
REMINDER: If you want the cards in MWS to have a line break, use two spaces to separate the lines of text. One space is sufficient in MWS to get a spacing in one block of text.
Patching Directions:
1. Get a Back-Up Master Base.
2. Put MWS in Deck Edit Mode.
3a. Click on the Library (Top Panel or Left Panel), save.
3b. Analyze/Add/Remove Sets
4. Add Magic 2011 with key M11.
5. This should say added (some number of) cards.
6. Click a card in the left hand column (top), from the library, then go to File, Save Deck/Library.
7. Here it still wont work and gives the error. So close MWS, then reopen it. This seems to do the trick for me. Sorry if this is patronizing but it's all I did.
Alright, folks. This is now the one and only Magic 2011 MWS spoiler on MTGSalvation. All others will be locked on sight.
I understand, however, that people like to contribute. If you wish to contribute, feel free to contact me and we'll talk about it - I won't turn away anyone that wants to help, but it needs to be handled a certain way. The key thing is that now, the MWS spoiler here on MTGSalvation is a group effort.
Also, please do not use this thread for anything other than discussion of this spoiler. MWS discussion belongs in the Official MWS Thread, sticked in this forum.
Don't feel like putting all the boring info in here right now, but suffice to say, I'm only updating this with what's from the official spoiler on the mothership. Also, these are full images, not cropped. The border is also squared off like the slightlymagic images.
So...where's the new cards like the rest of the titans and stuff? I mean, i know you're doing your best, I just can't wait. I'm so excited
I've got a job, and it's not letting up. I know people would like to test new cards, but I know where my priorities are.
As an aside, if someone can scour the (1) file and find where a Unicode character has slipped by unnoticed, it'd be duly appreciated. I recently converted over to Japanese localization on my computer, and it probably screwed with the AE symbol on Aether Adept.
I keep getting a syntax error when I try to Add the Set from the .txt spoiler, am I doing something wrong? I pasted the second .txt file onto the first with the template'd space (Enter) in it, but that didn't seem to help any either.
Would love some assistance with your .txt spoiler bro.

It's very possible that the lingering unicode character is causing all sorts of shenanigans, but I haven't been able to locate said character yet. (Notably, the original text is over 100 kb, but I've rarely reached that limit on 249-card sets unless I have all the flavor texts.)

Have you tried the ' character?
Specifically, ( ’ or ' )? It should be the latter.
As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.
I searched for ´ ` ’ and couldn't find anything...
Edit: Found the Error
You saved it as Unicode encoded file, although it should be ANSI.
If you choose ANSI for encoding when you save it, it should work.
Hey guys, just downloaded the two files and combined them to add and got the syntax error as well. Just open it in notepad and save a ANSI (I believe the file was unicode).
It's not working for me, it keeps coming up with an error box saying "Error adding cards from spoiler file. Check file syntax." What do I do?

The strange character must be involved with the Title for AEther Adept. When displayed as a card in Workstation, five characters are visible in the Title which aren't visible in the text file: ṪṪŻ♣Ṫ

Nope, i tried deleting those characters but the file still doesn't parse.
Please fix syntax error.
EDIT: Also, how about add a line number to the syntax error? just a thought so we can debug this ourselves.
EDIT2: FIgured it out. It's right there in the first post
Note: Due to the file-size limit on text files, please note that you will have to paste together all the text files uploaded. The files have been numbered in order (1), (2), etc.
There's a reason there are two files. You have to append the 2nd file to the end of the first file. Im guessing because MTGSalvo has a file size limit.
EDIT3: Nevermind, that didn't work. Stuck again.
EDIT-Final: Got it to work. I had to re-install MWS. Re-set up game pack. THen, I merged the M11 txt files and added successfully. Im out.
There are a couple things going on. So you have to do a few things. This is what worked for me, I did it all in Notepad:
1. Open the second file and copied all it contents.. go to the end of the first file and paste it in.
2. Go to Save As and change it to ANSI instead of Unicode.
3. Go to Aether Adept (card 29). There are invisible characters in front of the A.. the easiest way to deal with this is .. put your cursor between the A and e.. and hit back space until it swallows the tabbed space. Then I pressed tab and typed in the A. Save again.
After that I had no problem importing.

I ised the latest spoiler in my freshly installed MWS (I reinstalled to make sure everything was ok [I lost all my decks by accidentally deleting them along the way]) and now it won't let me use decks with M11 to play. it just comes up with a box like between matches where you side things or load decks.
Any ideas on how to avoid it?
If you get this, or the "invalid deck format" error, this is the fix. The edition when added must be named "Magic 2011" and "M11" as the edition key. I had both as M11 and got the error. Removed the bad M11 and re-added and it worked fine.
Anyone, please! I'm itching to wreck face with Overseer/Key/Tezz and I can't until some fixes this problem.
Adding new sets like this is always glitchy. I'm not 100% sure on the process of how to do it, but what I do is the following:
Go to:
File > Save deck/library as > whatever.dec
close MWS, it should then tell you to save again. do so now.
Re-open MWS, check to see that the new cards are still there.
Assuming they are and you saved masterbase, I normally go to tools, copy deck to clipboard. If something comes up that isn't an error, then the deck is normally A-OK to screw around with.
Hopefully this helps some, because it is how I normally bash MWS into working.

You do realize this is a volunteered effort, right? You do realize I have a job, right?
I know where my priorities lie, and I will take care of the spoiler patch when I get a chance. Fortunately for me, I've got the day off--my workplace is closed due to internal issues, and I should have the next update up shortly.
I'm going to add this to the first post, but I'll state this one more time: do not ask for updates as if they're compulsory. I know people want to test new cards, but I take offense to the fact that people seem to expect me to have all the time in the world to do so.

If you get this, or the "invalid deck format" error, this is the fix. The edition when added must be named "Magic 2011" and "M11" as the edition key. I had both as M11 and got the error. Removed the bad M11 and re-added and it worked fine.
