I think the title of the thread says it all mostly. But I am currently in the position of having 5 mythic crafts but no rare ones, despite the fact there are several rare cards I still want to craft! This happened last time I played on arena too (I stopped for a year or so because I hated playing the Witch's familiar deck so much).
I was wondering, is this because the frequency with which you get mythics (is it one in every six rare/mythic craft?) is slightly out of balance or is it just my problem because I tend to build aggro decks that have less mythics in? I'd be interested in hearing others opinions!
I'm perpetually lacking in rare wildcards, while always having at least a dozen mythics and tons of common/uncommon.Right now I'm at 179/269/5/22, which is a lot of rares for me, though I haven't crafted much new lately. Usually I need to farm packs to get rares to finish decks. I think the equation is simple, there are more rare cards you need than mythic. For example, Core 2021 has 53 rares and only 15 mythics. Also keep in mind that most non-basic lands are rares, and you'll need 4 of the ones you'll need. Lands alone eat up a lot of my rare wildcards.
And in terms of crafting we get, what 1 mythic craft for every 5 rares? Clearly both of us find that we need more rares and less mythics, so what would be a better proportion? 1 mythic in every 10 rare crafts?
