So I was thinking on my way to one of my high school classes the other day. I got into magic around 1 1/2 to 2 years ago at this point, so this may only make sense to me and may be the dumbest thing or may have even been said before this but i have to idea, so here we go. What if the Gatewatch use the immortal sun to trap Nicol Bolas on Ravnica, somehow get majority of people off the plane (1.This is a point that this theory starts to fall apart at, i know), and activate the supreme verdict(2), sacrificing one or more of themselves to finally destroy him....or at least for the time being.
(1).Okay, so i have no idea if it is possible for planeswalkers to take other people with them through the Blind Eternities, and even if it is I don't know how they would get a group this massive to leave all at once, maybe the portal thing in Kaladesh?
(2).I do not know if the supreme verdict is still active, now please take into consideration that i was not playing at the time of this card or its set in standard, I assume it is, because they never activated it, and i can't seem to find a source that says they managed to deactivate it either, so as far as i know the "Button"(for lack of a better term) to activate it is still there, so maybe it can still be activated, or at least under certain conditions.
Now please go easy on me in response, because i have no idea if this correct, could even be considered a theory, or even if it is in the right forum.
So, am i missing a key point of information that I looked over, or have I accidentally created a semi-plausible theory...........I don't know to be honest.
The function of Azor's Verdict is to eliminate the guilds, not kill everyone on Ravnica. And furthermore, as far as we know, it can only be activated while the Implicit Maze is being traversed; considering Jace currently has the powers of the Guildpact, the Maze is now dormant, possibly forever.
