I got to thinking about what actually drives Rashmi's planar portal, and it's just machinery redirecting aether, which is Kaladesh's form of magic. We've seen Nahiri do some seriously powerful stuff with her rocks on Innistrad and Zendikar. I'm just curious as to what people's opinions are on her ability to pull this off by, I don't know... building a gate on one plane, walking to another and building some sort of corresponding gate there?
Rashmi's planar portal is merely 'redirecting aether' in the same way that television is merely 'redirecting electricity'. We don't have even the most basic of information about how her device actually works other than its POWERED by aether and required her aether condenser(this was originally going to be her submission to the fair but she found a use for it in the transporter) to function. Nahiri is more like Nissa, both manipulate leylines, one directly the other indirectly. So if they want to go the route of "all you need to cross planes is control of leylines/lots of mana" then Nahiri could build gates and Nissa could open portals.
I think Nahiri MIGHT be able to do it, she would have a better shot than Nissa for one reason, there is a chance she has encountered one before and would know where to start.

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
My main reason for thinking she would be capable is that her cryptoliths twisted Innistrad's mana to lure Emrakul across the blind eternities. I know this is a far cry from actually bridging the gap between worlds, but it is still planar bound magic interacting, albeit loosely, with the blind eternities.

That's a valid point, originally they lured the Eldrazi to Zendikar because it was rich in mana, but she recreated the effect on Innistrad. That means she can at least send some form of information into the blind eternities.
