Return to New Phyrexia features the Mirran Resistance and Urabrask mobilizing against the other Praetors while they fight for power. Urabrask is pissed that Elesh Norn has pushed into his territory, disturbing his Great Work. The last straw was when Norn's forces pushed too far into the Great Furnace. They saw him harboring what was left of the Mirran Resistance after their attempt to kill the other Praetors with the spellbomb. Urabrask's forces fought off the scouting army but word reach the other Praetors what he did. He could no longer stay neutral. Koth convinces Urabrask to attack the others as a distraction while he and the Resistance made a push against the Praetors under the cover of the fighting. Jin's and Sheoldred's forces were greatly reduced from Elesh Norn's coup and were cut down without much trouble. However, the combined forces of Vorinclex, Glissa and Ezuri were proving to be quite formidable. They were being attacked on both sides and on the brink of losing when Kemba comes from OUTTA NOWHERE with her Sword of Body and Mind and starts slaying fools left and right. The sword channeled the power of each enemy she slain and turned it into a wolf made of pure mana to fight by her side. With each kill, Vorinclex's army shrank until eventually she confronted him and his lieutenants.
Glissa? Slain.
Ezuri? Rekt.
Vorinclex? He didn't last against a pack of MANA WOLVES.
Turns out what little armor Kemba is wearing is made of Darksteel. No one knows how the **** Darksteel works so all she needs is that little top to make her indestructible. Plus, Creative already dicked over Mirri twice so they decided to break that trend with Kemba and turned her into a goddamn action RPG main character.
The Mirrans make their way to the ruins of Taj-Nar, where Elesh Norn resides as ruler. Norn's forces bear down on the Mirrans once again. Kemba tells Koth she wants Norn by herself. Norn has taken everything from her and she wants vengeance for her people and Mirrodin. That's right: she's the last Leonin left on NPH cuz *reasons*. Urabrask and the Resistance distract the army while Kemba makes her way to the entrance of the ruins. Atraxa glides down and confronts her. In a display of power, Atraxa takes disarms Kemba and spawns a germ to carry the sword.
"Even your blade knows who will triumph here." "Nah."
Kemba knifes the germ and reclaims her sword because it's just a freaking sword. Atraxa gets her next attack parried and receives a Sword of Body and Mind through her body and mind. She proceeds to the throne room where Elesh Norn stands in all of her glorious beauty. Kemba suddenly feels fatigued cuz -2/-2. Final boss fight. Her attacks do very little to Norn cuz 7 toughness. Norn stands tall over Kemba and is about to land the killing blow when Ajani comes out of nowhere and pushes Norn back. Ajani does some of his spirit magic and buffs Kemba for round 2. "Don't Lose Your Way" starts playing. It gets hella anime. Fight ends with Kemba doing a leaping strike and just murders Norn. Guess you shouldn't have blocked. Epilogue stuff. Ajani comfort Kemba after she realizes she's all alone. Truest MTG ship sets sail. Kemba's spark ignites. MTG's first PW couple. Love can bloom across the Multiverse.

There. Crackpot Headcanon. EDH is a helluva drug.
You have no idea how much I want something like that to happen. I thought Urabrask the Hidden in particular was a wonderful side of red, an empathetic antagonist. I had almost lost hope of seeing something like that, but the introduction of Atraxa, Praetors' Voice has renewed it! Also, having a cat tribal equipment deck, I have a soft spot for Kemba, Kha Regent, and being one of only a handful of Mirrian legendary creatures not dead or compleated, having her addressed as well would be wonderful! That aside, Mirrodin was, and still is, my favorite plane, and while I love the Phyrexians as an antagonist, I want them to GTFO of Mirrodin.

And the 5 colors form a pentagram... Holy crap, we have all been unwittingly worshiping Satan the whole time! Spread the truth before it is too late!

"Useless and everyone pretends to like her?"
