I was just reading the histories of the current planeswalkers and was wondering if wizards will ever have two planeswalkers in a relationship because it appears to me that all the planeswalkers just about hate each other or end up fighting each other at some point when they're near each other. Now I'm not much of a romantic person but an angle like this would add more drama I think to some storylines. Personally, since Jace and Chandra are my favorite walkers I would love for them to have a torrid affair. What do people think of an angle like this in future storylines?
I will add that I haven't read the novels due to time constraints, but if they have done this then ignore this thread I know they haven't done this in their comics.

Jace and Chandra have spent a grand total of fifteen minutes in the same room, and most of that time was spent trying to kill each other.
They are officially listed as enemies. They have absolutely nothing in common.
Liliana and Jace were good together, minus Liliana's schemes and admitted regret over using him.
Gideon and Chandra had a heavy amount of sexual tension, but they ended on a poor note. Gideon seems to have gotten over it, but it remains to be seen how Chandra will react next time they meet.
I guess red and blue are enemies. But still would like to see planeswalkers develop some sort of relationships, alliances, backstabbing, etc. Of course each has their own agenda.

Well, like I said, Liliana and Jace had an intimate relationship and Chandra and Gideon had some very thick romantic tension between them.
I actually am wodering about the gideon chandra thing. Did they like have a relationship, or was it just sexual tension. Can someone clarify what went on there to me, as I missed those books.
Frankly, I don't really like any of our female walkers, other than Chandra to whom I am neutral, and there isn't much room for GayShipping in the canon, so "Gidra" (or is it "Chandeon"?) is probably the closest thing to a pairing I care about.
(I have nothing against Kiora Atua or Tamiyo, but it is not like we actually know much about them. And Volas doesn't seem physically possible)
Koth and Nissa seem to be in the same boat and they're allied colors but elves tend to be slightly narcissistic.
As I understand it Nissa is downright racist and would probably not associate with Koth in that way on the grounds that he's not an elf. Also, I don't think they've ever met.

Well, both of their planes is essentially dead and yeah Nissa is going to find it harder than koth to make friends with an attitude like hers.
Also they haven't met. I made this thread just for speculative future storylines when and how the planeswalkers interact with each other.
Chandra and Gideon sound about right... there have been some conflicts, but c'mon, what couple doesn't argue? Would Gideon be able to rein her fiery temper and could she stand to be around someone who was so Xena-like (I can't think of a fitting adjective).
Besides that, can't really think of any other male-female pairings because of the fact that the female planeswalkers feel very... one dimensional (maybe it's just from what I read). Elspeth is the closest to being more rounded, but even her character feels flat.
I would ship for Jace and Tezzeret.. yea, they're guys.. but they have the most in common. If anything, they'd have a nice bro-mance. Jace sulks and feels like he's above everyone. Tezzeret feels the same, except he had to earn his place. They're both self centered and emotional... I think they'd be perfectly miserable together and enjoy that.

But they hate each other, right? In Agents of Artifice Jace really screwed over Tezzeret. I may be recalling it incorrectly, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

Well, speculation has to have some basis in what we already know. As it is know Gideon and Chandra or Jace and Liliana are the only valid pairings at the moment. And JacexLily is iffy. I mean, I suppose some sort of twisted, sadomasochistic, hatesex fueled relationship could spring up between Liliana and Garruk, but that's about as forced as you could get while still keeping in mind current story parameters. That doesn't really seem like a good idea.
Well isn't Tezzeret still with Bolas? Jace and Liliana seem right for each other; I can't picture Jace with Elspeth, Jace just isn't trustworthy for someone like Elspeth.
But they hate each other, right? In Agents of Artifice Jace really screwed over Tezzeret. I may be recalling it incorrectly, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened.
Well, that is true... but Jace nearly wet his pants when Tezzeret told Baltrice (in front of Jace) that Jace was manipulating her. Tezzeret got a little bit... too much joy out of watching Jace squirm. I'm thinking they're even stevens now.
Okay lets turn to RTR, we know for certain Jace and Gideon are in I don't think they've even met. So I can't fathom how that would go. As for Chandra she almost certainly will not be in this block (I hope I'm wrong) due to her 'wild side' and the guilds (I would think) would cetainly not appreciate insubordination. Also I'm pretty confident Nicol Bolas gets a new one, probably in the last set. Storywise with Bolas, I think he'll end up starting an epic war between all the guilds. I think that sounds about right for him although I wonder what is his point of doing all of the things recently? At least in the Alara block he had purpose. Is he just messing with the new planeswalkers just because he can? Obviously there's a future goal but it seems like he's just having fun manipulating planeswalkers (jace, chandra, and sarkhan).

Jace kinda ruined Tezzeret's life. Tezzeret is now a slave to Bolas because of him, sort of. He seems the type to blame it on Jace anyway. Maybe I don't fully understand the relationship between Tezzeret and Bolas, but I'm pretty sure that's not at all what Tezzy was hoping for. Besides, I ship JacexStoneforge Mystic.

I don't see GideonxJace happening anytime soon either. I also doubt Chandra would care what the guilds think. And Nicol Bolas getting a new printing strikes me as odd. I can't think of any reason, aside from surprise factor, that they'd do that.

If a planeswalker went to Ravnica to be lets say on a vacation I think they would be hard pressed not to be noticed by some guild. And yes Chandra doesn't care what anyone thinks (which is one reason she's my favorite), maybe Gideon, but the guilds certainly do. As for Jace and Gideon, they almost certainly will meet, I think. I just can't fathom the planeswalkers not having some sort of contact.

I think you're overestimating the guilds. They don't have agents on the side of every street watching every single person that passes by. Ravnica likely has a population in the BILLIONS which is legitimately impressive in Dominia.
As for Nicol Bolas, I honestly don't think they can match the original design. I won't rule out his appearance, but he's pretty much as good as he's going to get.
I ship Bolas x Tezzeret. I've written... something truly horrible for all of you. MWUHAHAHAHAHA!
For the record though, Tezzeret is actually fully asexual. He hates his flesh, so naturally he has no interest in satisfying it. He also doesn't really have any need for anybody else either, so romance is out of his interests.

Is there territories that none of the guilds rule in Ravnica?
Is there territories that none of the guilds rule in Ravnica?
Technically none of the guilds rule anything anymore. They're out of power since the Dissension.
Their reappearance is slightly confusing, but I'm expecting something to be said about it.
The other thing is that the vast majority of Ravnica was guildless. While the guilds possessed the highest degree of wealth, they more or less just academically ruled the plane. Except the Azorius, which were the actual government.

Technically that can't be confirmed. Teysa began drafting a second, nonmagical, guildpact at the end of Dissension and I believe there was nothing definitively denying a reformation. In one of the books, I believe, the guilds were shown to be more ambiguous and less powerful, but nothing has confirmed their total removal from power. When you've got the most wealth, political power, magical power, and strongest armies you'll probably retain power even after some upheaval.

Agents of Artifice explicitly stated the guilds had fallen, and that Teysa's guildpact hadn't stuck without the magical geas backing it. On top of that, MaRo told us the guilds were gone and now they're back as part of their unveiling at Comic-con.
Aside from that, while they each controlled a certain aspect of the city, none of them had the same breadth of power as they did under the Guildpact.
The Orzhov and Izzet still had the money. The Boros still had force of arms. The etc etc etc. But that doesn't mean they worked together as they had before. Without the other guilds balancing their power, the Boros didn't have any authority past acting as bullies. The Izzet still controlled the infrastructure, but they couldn't make laws.
The guilds covered one another in the Guildpact. If one had control in a place, all the guilds had a say in how it was run.
Not anymore.

Given that the guilds were almost on the brink of total war, while also blantantly violating the guildpact by trying to take over Ravnica while they were under the guildpact, do you really think a non-magical agreement between them is going to last?
The gulids needed the guildpact to co-exist. Without it, there is nothing but thier words, and as we've seen from the first Ravnica block, you can't trust a guildmaster's words.
Well, I suppose there's some reason they still exist. I guess we'll just have to wait then?
A few of them make sense. Rakdos and Izzet are both cults of personality. So long as they have their central figure, they won't dissolve.
Aside from that, it's my opinion that we aren't looking at the old guilds at all, but new organizations built on the foundation of the old ones that fell. Some of the membership might be the same, but a sizable portion of their function was lost when the guildpact fell in the first place.
I think we aren't looking at guilds slaved to functions like they originally were, but evolutions of the structure that might have been left.
It's part of why I think we have so many new guildleaders, because they didn't inherit the job, but renewed the organization under their own leadership.

Which is the funny part about it, since Niv-Mizzet did leave them. Hopefully they'll explain his return.
