After all you see roots from the world tree inside each plane in kaldheim.

its already looking hairy for team good since karn Was once a again a moron like last time and is trapped in the cave (Rona did a trap pretty similar to Volrath's with the Touchstone)
oh and by the way'
oh and Rona is already working with new phyrexia so clearly one clue for brothers war of being canon somehow (sheoldred has plans for karn according to Rona and I’m sure it’s not to trap him nor compleat him (jins instructions he created).)
looks like the realmbreeaker/seedcore is not ready yet
because they are repairing sheoldred so looks like we have yet another tezzert [card]planar bridge[card] travel
The box the sylex was in
He'd concealed the Sylex in a small titanium chest, its lock only accessible to someone like him, someone who both knew the order in which the tumblers and pins needed to be lifted and could manipulate inorganic materials. His lock had no key.
this could be a clue that tezzert is gonna get the sylex because he could open the box and here’s their mistake it doesn't say “so only he (karn) can open the box.”
The story felt pushed. Karn can be emotional, yes, but this reckless isn't like him.
Consider Sheoldred is dormant, how long had it been her? Each Phyrexian faction appears to have plan of their own, I wonder how that'd play out in the upcoming war.
Good to see Rona again, I wonder how many of the Dominaria legends would return this time. Weatherlight crew v.2 was slightly disapointing, I hope they do better this time.
Karn couldn't planeswalk. In the comic, Tezz utilized the Immortal Sun to trap planewalkers to Ravnica again, would Phyrexians create a version of their own, as they did with the World Tree?
I like them showing that Sheoldred is just the humanoid bits and her scorpion was something she could pop out of. The art is very H.R. Giger which is very appropriate.
Also can the lore people just let Karn be happy for once, poor golem can't catch a break.
oh and Rona is already working with new phyrexia so clearly one clue for brothers war of being canon somehow (sheoldred has plans for karn according to Rona and I’m sure it’s not to trap him nor compleat him (jins instructions he created).)
Yeah makes sense that Rona and other modern phyrexia lovers would be willing to jump on board to truly be compleated.
I do wish we knew how canon "Quest for Karn" is since Karn should be immune to being compleated (again) and wonder if that is all Phyrexia has in store for him.
I've been thinking that planeswalkers might be turned into planar gates for phyrexia and seemly Vorniclex putting a "seed" in Tibalt and the info we got the leaks makes that more certain for me.

Regarding the canonicity of Quest for Karn, the story definitely states that Karn is immune against completion through glistening oil at the very least (via Venser's spark), so I guess QfK is still canon for the most part. It's not clear though whether it stops him from being compleated via the Reality Chip, Tezzeret at least seems to fear that the immunity he got might not stop the Phyrexians from compleating him.
Karn really deserves a hug, that poor golem. Also shows once again how terrible Urza was. 'Well, I gave you pain so that people feel worse about destroying or damaging you' is a horrible statement, even just said jokingly (and I am pretty sure he wasn't joking).

So they have a hard time believe karn but then teferi steps in and mentions jin on kamigawa and Vorinclex on kaldheim…and they instantly believe him…man karn can't get a break. (And worse teferi didn't even tell that tezzert is the source with the planar bridge)
and as for ajani ….oooooh boy he took it haaaaaaaaard when he heard about tamiyo (teferi must have also talked to kaito and connected the dots) and when ajani jump threw the window……ok yea not only he gained red colors again like when his brother died.
This is probably pretty close to when ajani gets captured and compleated
I feel story 3 or 4 elspeth and vivien arrive and vivien tells about Urabrask and tezzert but however also mentions Urabrask is plotting against the phyrexians
So they have a hard time believe karn but then teferi steps in and mentions jin on kamigawa and Vorinclex on kaldheim…and they instantly believe him…man karn can't get a break. (And worse teferi didn't even tell that tezzert is the source with the planar bridge
It's understandable. When an info is mentioned a second time it tends to serve as a supporting evidence, which makes the first more believable. Besides, people constantly live in denial, it's much easier to believe a terror in neighbor's house than believing it to be in your house.
I'm more surprised that the group couldn't handle a few Phyrexians at the negotiation room.
Is Ajani pinning the phyrexian thrush with his claw enough right there for the oil to get to him?
If you get touched by the oil in any way, are you done for? If so, it seems very hard to fight because destroying them will splash stuff all over you..
I'm more surprised that the group couldn't handle a few Phyrexians at the negotiation room.
The way they were described was quite horrific though, and if you maimed instead of destroyed they just turned into more little mini phyrexians

I'm enjoying Karn as a protagonist and the evolved sleepers are horrifying, the fact they don't even know they been compleated means they don't need to act to get in close to targets and hard to sort them out as they likely get around truth and mind magics.

I think it sadly plays into how Karn's personhood is often ignored. Timeline-wise I'm guessing the first episode and Karn being trapped took place during Kamigawa. Gonna guess as well that they didn't quite realize phyrexia could travel planes as Kaya was the one who saw vorinclex and dosen't know about the phyrexians and why Teferi might just asked Arlinn to keep an eye out for them vs asking her right out for help.
It also seems Teferi already suspects that planeswalkers might now able to be compleated*.
That said I do wonder who told Teferi about Phyrexia on Kamigawa and Tamiyo being captured but didn't bring up Tezzeret, I'd think the Wanderer or Kaito would have said that.

If you've ever seen John Carpenter's "The Thing," this chapter reminds me a lot of that. Especially where the sleeper agents attack.
And yeah i reckon Ajani has been totally infected by killing that thrush. The only question now is whether what is going to happen to him happens on screen or off.
flame buster……you might want to have a seat. I'm……starting to think thr phyrexians got Jhoira as a sleeper agent. (She’s acting weird and karn did the biggest fatal mistake…never trust anybody I feel like It’s too easy to leave it with jhoria while sleeping.)

And we can finally say it, The Raven Man is Lim-Dul and he has been trying to make Liliana into a vessel to be reborn in, a link in a chain of necromancers on Dominaria since the practice started on the plane.
Also answers a question I had of if Liliana (or any mage) could use necromancy to control phyrexians, which is yes but they have to actively fight to keep control over them.

karn is clever to give decoy locations to all of them to bait out the sleeper agent
side
It's now no longer a leak about the raven man is lim-dul is one in the same his plan was to get that ring on her so he can become reborn as a vessel in liliana
and liliana can control phyrexians but it's a don't blink thing if she hesitates you lose control instantly
slept within her and stepped into the Blind Eternities, vanishing in a swirl of blackness. She would return here soon enough, to cleanse her land and protect what she had buried here. She only hoped it wouldn't be to find the dead had turned against her. But for now, Arcavios and Sedgemoor waited to clean her wounds and replenish her reserves.
This...is...insane
So far one of the best Horror Stories in MtG lore ever
The paranoia, the horribleness.
I think Sheoldred may have been one of the first to be portaled in by Tezz. It seems the extent of the infestation on Dominaria is massive. The advancement of these New Phyrexians is ridiculous. They seem way more deadly than even the old.
The plane is falling and will fall
This will lead to the need for the time travel set of the Brothers War as the only way to save it.
That picture in the Liliana story, wow her face is beautiful.

If time-travel is involved then it is more likely used by Karn to figure out where the Sylex comes from and how to use it. He is the only one who can safely travel through time anyways (excepting very special circumstances like what happened to Sarkhan and Ugin).
On the rest I agree, holy frick, the new sleepers are truly the cybernetic version of the Thing from another world, and it seems the fight is terribly lopsided in favor of Phyrexia right now. They certainly learned from the first attempt of invading Dominaria it seems.
It also shows the limitations of Glistening Oil though in my opinion, if only a little bit: While it is almost unbeatable in an environment rich in metal and already kind of cybernetic organisms (like Mirrodin), it seems to not have as much substrate on Dominaria. It can certainly poison people and compleat them, but without the support of already compleated beings, the process is slow, and the oil can't generate a catalyst like Mycosynth here. It's still a formidable danger, just not quite as potent as it was on Mirrodin (and it was on Dominaria already, a large quantity of it is still in Urborg). So yeah, more like a very viral form of the Borg right now. And those were always quite terrifying in their own right, soo...
One thing I do find extremely hilarious is the resolution to who the sleeper agent is. Let's see:
Is it one of three popular legacy characters, two of which are planeswalkers who can't be compleated without the Reality Chip, or is it the one Dominarian who was newly introduced and knew suspiciously much about the Phyrexian invader's sleepers and was the only one who went alone in the tower for a longer period of time? It really is a mystery...
Kidding aside, I liked Stenn then morbidly transforming into an antenna to signal Sheoldred the false location (clever of Karn, though it grates on me a little how Compleated!Stenn fell for it so easily). That's just the type of Phyrexian body horror I like.
All in all way more intriguing than I thought at first!
Thinking about the New Argive Watchtower they are locked into at the beginning of Episode 3.
It mentions a powerstone lighting the room. So........
Maybe this will be a colorless land with tap New Argive Watchtower add C for each New Argive Watchtower you control. Like the old Loci. Thoughts? Too powerful for Standard? Would give Tron too much in Modern?
