I want to go back in time, find whoever came up with the idea of Phyrexia, and get them stuck in a traffic jam or accident or something so that they miss their interview and never work for Wizards of the Coast.
xantcha didn’t want to be controlled by yawgmoth then ultimately from Urza saving her life she joined the good guys
belbe as she was falling in love with ertai her old elf self was coming back and the following happened. She tried to rig it for ertai to be the evictor, disabled yawgmoths eye in her, she reprogrammed her portal for her dad (Eladamri) and Takara en-Dal and Lin Sivv to escape… except the thank you note from her dad is killing her.
In other words tamiyo could be another one in line of betraying the phyrexians (plus this is a walker so might be curable)

Unfortunately Phyrexia isn't really all that unique in fiction. The X-men have the Technarchy and Phalanx and Star Trek has the Borg.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone

and Jin was officially the first in history to compleat a walker which is something yawgmoth was dying to do during his whole entire reign as father of machines.
At first I am at a loss when Tamiyo got the coat of Phyrexian paint on her, but after the shock subsided... I am kinda intrigued to who else in Magic in the future is gonna get a Phyrexian paint job on them. I'd vote of Koth of the Hammer or the Kenrith twins or Dovin Baan. Would be interesting if they're able to bring back Xenagos from the dead and Phyrexianize him.
Anyway, I am really engaged and stuff back into the story of Magic once more. Felt really burned out after Eldraine and the "Aftermath" of War of the Spark

oh dovin Baan is dead
but Here’s some tip bits of the most possible
1. Ashiok is literally trying to find the phyrexians after seeing elsepth's nightmares about the phyrexian obliterator
2. If you read the kaldheim story Vorinclex was there and he planted a seed in tibalt to black mail him to cause havoc (which he was doing anyway) no mention if removed or not
ps I will give a serve tip out
Tezzeret was actually uncomfortable looking at tamiyo and his reflection was on something so he was probably watching her being compleated (which is taking all the flesh out and replacing with metal)
so which might mean seeing something/someone being compleated for the first time May have giving him second thoughts on this whole situation and May revolt sometime in the future.
OK, after reading through all the stories I am a little less angry about Tamiyo getting the Phyrexian treatment. I initially thought she just showed up like that, but at least we got to see the events that let up to her compleation.
I still think that phyrexianization of a character as a concept is pretty boring apart from the shock that comes with it. There is no agency involved, and after the change is complete, the characters are a much duller version of their previous selves. The episode 5 epilogue repeats the "Phyrexia was her family now" thing at least three times, probably because that's the most interesting thing that can be done with her now characterization-wise. There's no "previously I thought like this, but then this happened which caused me to change my mind and get closer to Phyrexia." Instead, it's "previously I thought like this, but then Jin-Gitaxias captured me and put me on an operating table, and now I think Phyrexia is rad."
Despite how horrible a big part of the War of the Spark story was, the conflict between Bolas and Liliana (and the lead-up to it) was actually done quite well. You could see why Lili would choose to ally with Bolas, and why she would betray him. I wish we could've gotten something similar for our first established character becoming phyrexianized.
(Btw, while I get that it had to be an established character to elicit a reaction from the audience, when you think about it it's pretty ridiculous that Tezzeret apparently wasn't able to just knock out some rando walker and take them to Jin in the months and years they were doing their research)
Reading the story, I was a bit confused about what exactly the reality chip did. First it allowed the Wanderer to return to Kamigawa somehow - I think. Was it ever stated why she was able to appear on the plane? Then it stabilized her spark and enabled her to stay on the plane. Then it opened some previously non-existant connection between her and Kyodai and gave her visions of events taking place elsewhere. And finally, it just functioned as a generic magic power-up device. To be fair I read through the stories pretty quick so maybe I missed something, but it all seemed pretty jumbled.
Overall the story surpassed my expectations, but imo Kyodai really got the short end of the stick. All she did was hang out in her chamber; and overall the descriptions made her seem more like an injured animal than the divine and powerful being she was depicted as at the end of the OG Kamigawa novels.
Retconning the Sisters for no reason or benefit whatsoever really killed my enthusiasm
Ok, I am not saying that this isn't potentially a retcon, but honestly, nothing said about the sisters in Neon Dynasty is that difficult to align to the books without explicit retcons. I don't quite understand the disappointment of some and the outrage of others quite frankly. What did the book say about the sisters that isn't reflected in Neon Dynasty?
Kyodai is not looking like a slightly draconic sister of Michiko. Well, perhaps she did back then, and changed to her more draconic form sometime after Michiko died, while the artist representing their punishment of Konda in that one saga clearly doesn't know about that.
Nowhere in the last Kamigawa book does it state that Michiko became immortal, just that she became something else through her connection with Kyodai. This can easily be explained as her being the first human to channel a spirit, which was not a type of magic any mortal used at the time. Since the sisters wanted to change how magic works in Kamigawa and worked towards peace between kami and mortals, it makes sense that they established channeling of Kami for everyone with a deep connection to them as a new form of relationship between spirits and mortals.
The sisters appearing in Future Sight are likely the then current emperor directly channeling Kyodai after being informed of the threat. For why they were able to hold off Leshrac and Bolas, but not Tezzeret and for example Jace, that has probably to do with the mending, maybe the new planeswalker spark is not powerful enough to cause disturbances, or the newly repaired boundaries between planes don't allow the emperor-Kyodai bond to notice them. We don't actually see the current emperor channeling Kyodai, might be that otherwise we would have seen her becoming a slightly draconic version of the Wanderer for its duration.
I personally don't think any of these problems are that big of a deal. If I forgot any, please remind me. The word retcon is thrown around a little too much in my opinion, just like Mary Sue, as long as a change is in-universe explainable, and doesn't fully contradict what was previously stated, I wouldn't count it as such.
Retconning the Sisters for no reason or benefit whatsoever really killed my enthusiasm
Oh also, the benefit is that you can have planeswalkers on Kamigawa with ill intentions, that you don't have quasi god-emperors reigning for 1300 years (which would really give more questions as to how Kamigawa was even able to evolve) and you can have a richer history to use on cards. If it is a retcon (and I don't think it is), then those were probably the reasons for it.
Bolas only stole her divine porcelain mask and destroyed her temples. Essentially her divinity counter. Something I suspect Kyodai could restore. And even if she did perish from the encounter, which was not the case, that wouldn't explain all the other Myojin being different.
Clearly Night's Reach was around in recent history, which makes no sense to have entirely new Myojin.
Do any of the cards actually show any merge gates? I find it weird how under-represented they are in the art despite being mentioned so often in the stories and the lore.
I am also displeased with new Myojin entirely instead of new versions of the originals. Where is the follow up with Night's Reach?
Invoke Despair and the other Invoke cycle is a clear nod to the Myojin being around. Don't know the flavor reasons but when making the cards they decided that they didn't want them to be redo of the old cards (mechanic wise) and decided to make new Myojin characters to reflect the having separate abilities unrelated the old ones.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"

I see no reason to have entirely new characters. We've seen Olivia Voladren with new cards with every visit to Innistrad, yet she's had a completely different effect each time. She didn't become a new vampire entirely. Same with Theros gods, etc.
"She has been informed and has been suitably chastised for underestimating my intelligence." Jin-Gitaxias moved aside, metal body gleaming. "The work continues to progress, but there is still much to be done."
that part was after she found out that jin successfully compleated a walker without loosing the soul/spark
does this mean jin gitaxias gains quite a bit of ground for the new leader of the phyrexians?
Doubt it, it was a project under Norn. While he is cunning I doubt the person who organised a full scale destruction of two other factions is going down so easily.

It actually looks to me as if Elesh Norn is manipulating Jin-Gitaxias by questioning whether he is intelligent enough to solve HER projects, making him work even harder towards her own goals instead of doing something else. And then he can "chastise" her all he likes while she pretends to be honestly surprised, while in reality he has been only doing what she wanted from him. It has been hinted at that she is quite manipulative before.

theres something you guys are forgetting or too angry to realize
if We go back to old phyrexia the phyrexians Xantcha, Sleeper Agent and Belbe, Corrupted Observer both revolted against phyrexians
