It is indeed .the moment described in the first story published. As pointed out, she has knives, not the axes.
Really disgusted how the thread in RM turned into yet another fest of bashing Kaya and the writers.
I'm not sure if her having knives instead of axes is "conclusive evidence", so to say. The Vorthos Cast (who has a bunch of people involved with official Wizards creative on it) previewed Dogged Pursuit as the "Story Spotlight card for the first story episode."Wouldn't it be kind of strange to have two story spotlights for the same episode, and the very first one at that? Also, while there have been discrepancies between cards and actual story moments before, it's also weird that a story spotlight card includes a direct quote that doesn't appear in the part of the story it's supposed to represent.
Edit: Forgot that she lost one of her daggers in the fight with the trolls. In that case, I'll just repeat my criticism that the Story Spotlight cards don't have any real purpose anymore ... they're way too vague to actually tell what's going on.
see the background and if you look just above vorinclex head it’s the same tyrite thing
and This is now confirmed her first encounter with vorinclex because she has daggers in the art and she lost them in chapter two by a bunch of trolls
So vorinclex's blood/phyrexian oil must be in that cave and if it hit the tyrite vorinclex may have just gained immortality from that fight with Kaya (if a recall correctly anything the oil touch’s phyrexians can adapt to it please correct me on this)
Basicly vorinclex might be immortal on kaldheim now

The fact that Kaya has daggers instead of axes in Kaya’s Onslaught is far from conclusive evidence. We know that the art gets locked in long before the finer points of the story.
The first story happened on Bretagard, and I seriously doubt that the Tyrite Sanctum, the source of the elixir that grants the gods their immortality and the material that is used to make their weapons, is in a random cave on Bretagard, especially since nothing in that story mentioned a glowing helix or a pool of molten rainbows.
Yeah, it seems to me that Vorinclex is seeking the Tyrite sanctum for immortality reasons but then gets thwarted by Kaya. This would imply Kaya's Onslaught is a story spotlight of a later chapter, probably the final one.
So Tibalt is the Mary Sue, showing up gods as nothing but a foreign mortal mage that isn't even on their own turf
I guess it makes for an interesting story, and I'll accept that Kaldheim gods are less powerful and mortal compared to stronger pantheons. So I'll give it a flavor pass, this time. Seems in terms of power the Theros pantheon is the strongest as cosmic forces, then Amonkhet in the middle and Kaldheim the weakest and mortal, but still really interesting.
It seems that Tibalt somehow imprisons the real Valki, as seen on his classic version and partially also on his showcase Valki side (note the person chained to a pillar in tbe background). As well as in this card and its flavor: https://mythicspoiler.com/khm/cards/glacialdetentionpillar.html

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
So Vorinclex inflected Tibalt with a "seed" and wanted Tibalt to cause a distraction for him, which Tibalt planned to do anyways.
Tibalt is on his way into being completed.

Today’s installment was much too short for my tastes. What I do find interesting is that the parts that aren’t narrated by Tibalt are written from the perspective of an unknown narrator who tells the story from the perspective of Tibalt’s thoughts. Surely vorinclex, as a phyrexian, doesn’t care about Tibalt’s looks, and would probably consider him a weakling for not being compleat, but that’s not what Tibalt sees, and the narrator’s perspective reflects that.
“The beast knew that a handsome and powerful planeswalker such as Tibalt would never stoop to helping a hideous, stupid monster...”

Pretty sure its Tibalt writing his own Saga. Which honestly works great here as an unreliable narrator its hard to tell fully whats going if we had a 3rd person omniscient point of view.

To note I do like how it ties in and explains Koma being able to break into Sternheim.

So is Vorinclex making Tibalt sow chaos as a prelude to Phyrexian invasion?
I also wound't be surprised if the "seed" or w/e in Tibalt also spread oil or something else to help Phyrexia. That way even if Kaya kills Vorinclex* w/e been done to Tibalt might still stick around.
*I think this likely but if SoI taught we should wait for the full context

well my theory with the posion is potentially wanted to compleat a walker so they can get their hands on a spark so they can go to other planes
oh the third story also mentions tibalt has kill kaya on the list?
im not sure if it will work out but i have tin foil hat theory of who hired kaya to hunt vorinclex from a couple of reddit users

From a Reddit user was interesting might be kasmina who hired Kaya to kill vorinclex
basicly it comes from the war art book her cabal and her unknown intentions for a conflict the theory is that conflict is the phyrexians and the cabal is something similar to the 9-titans and she’s Basicly new phyrexia era urza (not power wise planning and personality wise)

A lot to unpack in that story. The machinations going on. Red Herrings? MacGuffins? Who knows? Especially since this is from Tibalts point of view so things may have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Vorinclex is a praetor of New Phyrexia. He despises the concept of sentience and wants the multiverse to operate solely on the roles of predator and prey—survival of the fittest for all. When Elesh Norn gained the upper hand on the other praetors, she knew Vorinclex would be the easiest to influence, as his desires were the basest of the praetors.
Why Vorinclex arrived in Kaldheim is currently unknown, but the purposes are certainly nefarious. The method he used to travel between planes is also a mystery. Vorinclex's organic parts were destroyed in the journey, leaving only metal and bone. An inquisitive stag sniffing around his remains was enough raw material to begin crafting a new body, and Vorinclex slowly made his way up the forest food chain until he had created a form he found satisfactory.
so elesh norn may have dominated all the realms now? And vorinclex may have ran away because he doesn’t want to go elesh way and go his way?
Oh and his arrival that’s why he’s based on grendel the feast is to repair his body

There's a lot to unpack, so here's just a starter:
- Birgi, Toralf and Kolvori are children of Alrund and Cosima.
- Cosima was originally a dolphin
- Birgi hires dwarves to keep tabs on her brother and steal his credit
- Halvar was adopted
- Valki, while selfish, was originally just a prankster. Tibalt acting as him is actually malicious, which I think is a good nod to the disconnect between Loki in earlier parts of the Eddas and his role in Ragnarok.

sadly yet another sign the phyrexians are gonna play the role of ragnarok on kaldheim
what this tells me is Tyrite is how the gods stay immortal/alive on kaldheim but what does this have to Do with the phyrexians
