Well looks like the art books are coming back? (if they ever where discounted)... a year and several months later. Ignoring the ever more strange release of this sets story and lore, I wonder what all this will have. Ravnica itself already got an art book so I guess maybe more on Bolas plans worked and maybe some side stuff on the walkers we didn't get to see in the story.
If they continue this we might end up seeing the Theros story maybe in the Theros art book, thought hopefully they also include Eldraine too.

It's kind of weird because the set will be rotating out by then. I would snap buy an Eldraine art book and I hope planeshift returns for Eldraine and Theros.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
After the backlash of The WAR I’m actually stunned they proceeded with this one instead of continuing to Eldraine. I’m not sure if Eldraine has enough material since it’s our first visit to a new plane, but definitely Theros on a second visit especially considering the first was three sets. Really looking forward to Theros

To be honest I think there is a line between the novels and set itself. I actually really liked the war of the spark set and the story told in the cards but have no interest in the prose if that makes sense. War of the Spark and Throne of Eldraine have been my favorite sets since Tarkir. I really enjoyed the Wildered Quest though.

We got art books for Kaladesh, Amonkhet and Ixalan.

I agree a lot and personally liked the plot of War of the Spark even if the writing fell on the shorter end for the novel. As the art books tend to have plot/lore stuff they sometimes can't fit in the novel I'm hoping now to lean stuff like what happened with Sorin and Nahiri coming to a truce or what ever Ashiok was doing.

I too hope they do something like that (which should have been done already with the WAR online chapters, in truth...)
At 2:46 we see the art of Karn from the poster with all the planeswalker art.
Edit: There also seems to be lore regarding Kasmina at 6:21
Kasmina is the leader of an ancient secret order of Planeswalkers a shadowy cabal with mysterious aims. Her larger goals are unknown, but her recent obsession is recruitment. Her preffered method is to identify what she calls “embers” – mages who possess a Planeswalker spark that has not yet ignited. She helps them discover their potential (even if it means causing a little trauma to force the spark to ignite). Then indoctrinates them into the ways of her order. It is clear that Kasmina is preparing for a looming conflict, which she believes will make the battle against Nicole Bolas seem like a trivial squabble over petty stakes. Despite her best effort though, her activates are beginning to draw the attention of other Planeswalkers, and it seems that some kind of confrontation with the Gatewatch – Planeswalkers who believe in putting magical abilities to good use – is inevitable.
-Amazing art, this book really pulls across all of magic and really shows off a lot of the cool promo and alternate art.
-Kinda cool they have the war of the spark walkers get little bios throughout the book as they met or interacted with Bolas or his schemes.
-This art book is basically a mini-history and world guide to all the lore and worlds post weatherlight story.
-Most of the stuff set up in Chronicles of Bolas is said to be “some stories say”, which echos comments of the author of the story being told by unreliable narrator and says the stuff set up
-The art book mentions Bolas seems to have a soft spot for Dominaria as none of his modern plans (outside of Liliana) harmed the plane and hinting maybe it was gonna be Bolas seat of power once he got his old powers.
-For those of saying they uncanonized the demon-leviathan it's brought up a few times and has the quotes future sight about the Talon Gate.
-After killing the demon-leviathan Bolas would pop in and out of Madara since he liked the ley lines there.
-After he killed Ugin, he decided to build his empire on Madara and killed the “god-emperor” an unnamed female warrior and took over.
-Minor but they said the rift Karn made was the rift that leads to the events on Kamigawa.
-Small quote :”The Umezama clan does not play a major part in Dominaria today, but Toshiro’s descendants flourish and thrive”.
-The Consortium was set up to be Bolas eyes and ears across the planes due his lose of power weakening his ability to spy across the multiverse.
-Bolas sent Tezzeret to Mirrodin to study the process of Phyrexia and to keep them from uniting under a single ruler. Seems like with the eldrazi, Bolas was thinking of using them to get a group of walkers to team up and mobilize, but found the eldrazi to be better for that goal.
-Umm they mentioned Ramaz so he is cannon then.
-So the gatewatch forming wasnt all to Bolas plan, he wanted a larger gathering of planeswalkers and slower fight then the gatewatch gave but he adjusted as needed. I’m guessing he was gonan try and launch the War of the Spark as more of a sneak attack after a larger group of walkers gathered and defended a common threat.
-Bolas wasn’t involved in SoI but was interested in it and wasn’t too happy the gatewatch came out it seemed winning.
-One thing to note is Bolas weakened the Hekma so that people wouldn’t depend on it and more on him. Which means post-Bolas Amonkhet might be able to protect themselves better.
-Garruk gets a shout out.
-They re-worked Ral being an “agent” of Bolas (from the design standpoint that all the guild leader walkers were on Bolas side) as him crafting the beacon.
-The elder spell needs the sparks of the walker harvest to be done in a short time so Bolas had to lure hundreds of walkers at once.
-As noted it seems like Kasmina might be a new villain as she collects and manipulates planeswalkers into her cabal.
-Hmm hints Davriel met some of the walkers hunting after him on Ravnica.
-Ashiok got a bit more defined as they now “A mysterious planeswalker apparently beyond species, biology, and gender”. Appearly Ashiok willing went to Ravnica due to senes the fear that a world ending war would bring.

Ashiok must've heard (or peeked into people's mind) and learned about Bolas a while back. Bolas attempted subtlety but he's never too far from self-bolstering.
Ashiok's art shows that Ashiok is on Bolas's Meditation Realm, so Ashiok went to Ravnica not only to witness the fear of others, but also the fear of the Dragon God at his defeat.
They also changed a bit of Nahiris encounter with Sorin, after the first time the Eldrazi tried to break free. In this book it says that she threatened to destroy Innistrad, which she didn't do in the story Stone and Blood way back.

if art from commander legends is in here they may want to up the release date
He talks about it in the post, they are trying stuff out but I think the published version of their world bible/planeswalker guide (which is what these have been) are ending. The upcoming stuff looks more like an intro/summarized (which I will still look into!) but again not the in-depth look at the worlds.
I just wished we gotten one for Eldraine, at least Theros got the DnD book.

Of course Kasmina gets to be a cool villain wasted in that garbage train wreck truck that was WOTS. Hope she shows up in Bant colors since she's the ideal Bant villain.

Idk I think even if WotS was handled better we'd not get too much shown on her. Maro talked about how they needed a blue walker characters (originally they wanted to have Yanggu and Yangling separate so she wasn't picked, thought I think it works better that she came along in the lore) and they thought it would be cool to preview a character in a future storyline similar to the Kenriths in Battlebond, so I don't think she would gotten a lot of focus.
That said this explains the section she appeared in where she seemly knew Bolas plan and came in fighting. Likely she was also looking into recruiting walkers to her cabal.
