Hi there, just a quick confermation. There isn't any lore regarding Modern Horizon, right? I mean, for example we don't know anything about Hogaak, the (until recently) king of Modern, right?
Just remember they mentioned that hogaak was like hanweir but instead of people becoming eldrazi and fusing, all the corpses got reanimated into the “avatar” hogaak. But no idea where I saw it.
There was some lore for Ayula as well. Also can’t find the source but there is a Spanish(?) wiki with the lore for ayula https://mtg.fandom.com/es/wiki/Categoría:Personajes_secundarios
(Oh this wiki just used ayula’s flavor text and the one from the enchantment)
(Also not sure now if the blurb I remember from hogaak is not a fan fic)(there was no oficial story for either legendaries)
The closest we have to lore is the information we got about Wrenn and Six according to previews and Maro: Wrenn is female, is a dryad, and symbiotically rides one treefolk at a time (which can apparently planeswalk with her). She's dubbed the latest such treefolk "Six" because she's already gone through five of them.
Thanks guys.
Unfortunately, with the return of paid books and ebooks, Wizards has apparently cut everything about free lore. There is no Player's Guide for Core 2020, and they didn't even put the 2019 Commanders' bios on their site... Sigh
If it were up to me, After Hogarth from the Iron Giant stopped the nuke, pieces of him fell to back to...some other plane... he tried to pull himself back together, but instead of parts, bodies crawled to him rebuilding him, twisting him. Hogarth was no more, there was only a Hogaak now, it’s mind so twisted it searches the countryside for the parts that never made it to that plane...
