What? That makes no sense whatsoever. Ob Nixilis is a plane destroying monster. I see no reason why he be Anti Bolas. Karn spent a lot of time not wanting to hurt anyone at all. Dack who knows.
Yeah it doesn't make sense to me either. So we have the set amount coming into the set, but from what I'm gathering here, there's going to be more than just the 36 involved in the story since Dack has no card that we know of.
Like my god besides Bolas I can think of No Walker it makes less sense for Karn to team up with.
I mean sheesh I am surprised Ob showed up at all. But you expect him to be hunting the Gatewatch and Nahiri. Not helping stop Bolas by teaming up with Karn. This better not be another Lili where we whitewash the crimes off a monster just cause he helped with a problem that negatively impacted him personally (losing his spark). That be like Bolas getting a free pass cause he helped Teferi during Time Spiral.
Also I guess we are going to ignore the Underworld plot line from Dack. I sincerely hope Elspeth did not come back offscreen.
Also I guess we are going to ignore the Underworld plot line from Dack. I sincerely hope Elspeth did not come back offscreen.
This would trigger me so hard. I want to go back to Theros specifically to get Elspeth out.
Back to the whole team up thing, wouldn't Ob and Sorin be a better team up since they both have a personal vendetta against Nahiri? Honestly there's just a lot from so little info that doesn't make sense.
Yeah that makes sense. I could see Sorin working with Ob and them playing off well while they Hunt Nahiri.
That makes way more sense logically. Karn, Dack and Ob just seems like they threw Darts at a Board.
Also I dont know why Dack isn't getting a card. I mean do Kaya, Ral, Domri, Dovin and Vraska need another Card. They just got them. Surely Dack who only has one and has never had one standard legal should get a card unless he is saved for Modern Horizons.
Any idea who's "the wanderer" he refers to that partners with Davriel?
I'd guess the walker with the "wind sword" and hat covering their face.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
I think it's fair to say that neither Karn or Dack would know of Ob and he would certainly try to manipulate them and use them if it benefits him. And of all the walkers out there I think Ob is the one least cool with being forced into subservience to Bolas or at the very least losing the spark he just got back to Bolas.
One: they might be wrong but the "entire" world, including some pretty enfranchised entities, are sure that the hatted one is Mu Yanling (it would be strange if she didn't follow Yanggu afterall)
Two: Li Shan is named MANY times "wanderer" and he disappeared...
One thing really upsets me... Dack Fayden and NO cards? Is this OCD Hell?
I mean come on Guys Ob Nixilis looks Evil. He is not and has never been Subtle. Also you think he make the list of Evil Planeswalkers who might help Bolas. Considering he fought the Gatewatch and Karn went to Ravnica with the Gatewatch. So yeah sure Dack might not know who Ob is but Karn should because Jace, Chandra, or Gideon should have told him.
I think it makes a lot of sense in some ways. Bolas tries to bring Planeswalkers to Ravnica and trap them there. Then we seems to want their sparks to become a god again. Seems an easy bet, that Ob doesn't like that plan at all, after losing his spark once before. I think these three will try to manipulate the Immortal Sun.
I am just looking forward to see, which other team-ups we will see. I expect nearly all Planeswalkers (and Guilds) to fight against Bolas sooner or later, so there could even be another Ugin, Sorin and Nahiri team for at least the conflict or a certain situation. I expect Tezzeret to not show up, because he ist he Planar Bridge and he has to save Bolas (as he can't leave Ravnica on another way than Tezzeret) - and maybe he betrays his master?

Yes but if the hat lady is Mu Yanling and her mentor Li-shan is in fact the wanderer then he won't get a card like Dack or the hat walker is Li-shan
Mu Yanling and the mysterious walker in the hat look almost nothing alike. She and Jiangg don’t even have any story do they?
Also who the hell is Li Shan?
They have a paragraph each. Li-shan is Mu Yanling's mentor who disappeared one morning and she's been looking for him/her with the help of Jiangg whom she befriended after they fought each other.

Evil people fight against each other all the time. Hitler vs. Stalin, criminals fighting against each other, and Magic has a history of this - Bolas killed Bontu, Crovax killed Volrath and Tsabo Tavoc. Even Bolas stood up against the mending. If Bolas is trying to steal every planeswalkers spark, Ob is not going to be cool with that.

In fairness, Ob Nixilis is a plane destroying monster that hates when people screw with him and holds grudges. I'd imagine his reaction to Bolas summoning him to Ravnica to steal the spark that he only recently recovered would be something along the lines of "This dragon is ******* dead."

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!

Also who the hell is Li Shan?
Well, while we are accustomed to characters from 80s-90s cartoon who did not EVEN ONCE change their clothes, we can't actually say she does not seem like Mu, because we only see arms and legs of her. Consider Mu is extremely tamiyo-ish in the original art for the global series (blu dressed, white hair similar to white moonfolks appendages-ears), so maybe they tried to revamp her style in a way that could strongly differentiate one from another EVEN in a great picture including more planeswalkers, for example promotional illustrations or even cards'. We should doubt more about the type of weapon she is brandishing than her clothes. It's more like a plummage weapon or a lance with wind/sonic effect than water (even though water should have more that aspect of pale transparency than freaking sky-blue, especially in the winter of ravnica)
Edit: on second analysis Tamiyo is more of a green-ish turquoise hue than blue...
I'm intrigued by a Dack-Karn-Ob alliance. We've seen Planeswalkers team up even when at odds.
The Nine Titans were a bit messed up because Urza planned for betrayal, but it's an example. The Summit of the Null Moon at the end of the Ice Age is another--that also broke into internal battles (like Szat versus Freyalise). In the proposed Planeswalker War on Corondor, Sandruu and Taysir worked together (even after Taysir had banished him after a duel on Ulgrotha).
I know these examples are not quite the same, but we know Planeswalkers can align for various reasons. If Ob Nixilis will not want to lose his spark again, and the other Planeswalkers may use that to their advantage against Bolas. They can deal with Ob afterwards. I think it's quite similar to Szat's inclusion in the Summit of the Null Moon and the Nine Titans: we know he's bad, but we need him.

Except that exactly 0 planeswalkers have changed their clothes for the entire time there has been planeswalker cards. Because clothes are part of being able to quickly identify an image of a person, as well as a major part of a characters silhouette. Also the wanderer's weapon is part of the look that we are considering. Nothing about the image fits Mu. Not clothing, or weaponry, or color. It already didn't make sense to bring Jiangg into the main story when they could have made a new walker and needed to put in just about the same amount of work into creating them. The last thing, I think, that we want is a throw away walker from a supplemental product.

Not that I'm disagreeing about Mu Yanling, but, Gideon, Liliana, Tezzeret, Sarkhan and Vraska have all had outfit changes (Some only temporarily, but Liliana at least has had a different outfit from her original since... Liliana of the Veil). Vraska and Tezzeret are on their 3rd outfits, where Sarkhan seems to be on his 4th.
Arguably Garruk as well, in that he put a shirt on: Garruk Wildspeaker vs Garruk, Apex Predator (EDIT: Err, the M15 version, not the stupid black on black. I just don't know how to specify which to display.)
All that aside, I think this actually reinforces your argument, rather than detracts from it, because in just about every one of those cases their new outfit is EXTREMELY similar to their old ones. Same color. Similar shapes/motifs. If Windblade-hat-lady is Mu Yanling, then she's undergone a radical and sweeping redesign that honestly doesn't fit the established pattern of Planeswalker visual updates.
