This is what I thought as well, and I was going to reply as much last night(this morning), but I couldn't find a source to confirm it... I just "remember" hearing/reading that somewhere.

I decided to investigate something that's been bothering me. I saw in this forum, and then in a blog post I navigated to from the Wizards article page (I think written by our very own Jay13x? I don't recall for sure) that discussed who/what still lives/exists on Dominaria, that the Weatherlight is still around. I finally had some time to spare and decided to look into why that wasn't sitting right.
So at the end of Apocalypse, after Yawgmoth is defeated, Sisay rides the Weatherlight down from the sky into the sea. She tried to save people and the ship, but alas, it sinks into the deep dark depths and her last look is it disappearing to the bottom of the ocean.
I don't recall hearing or reading about the ship being exhumed after that. Did I miss that somewhere in the story? The very end of Apocalypse has Sisay, Tahngarth, and Squee joining up again on another ship, this one the normal sea-faring kind. And Tahngarth left Hurloon to Grizzlegom to fix up.
I don't know what thing Jace landed on at the end of Ixalan story when he walked to Dominaria. He also landed in something gooey? I have no idea. The wood, humming machinery, and fast speed sure sound like a skyship. But how would they power it? Weatherlight needed a powerstone charged by a collapsing plane. That energy fused into Karn when Yawgmoth was defeated. So if a skyship, would it be something far smaller than Weatherlight? And if they're making powerstone, Glacian had the fastest way of doing it, but didn't Shiv make them too? I forget what happened to Shiv in the storyline.
But ultimately, unless I missed something, I don't think the Weatherlight is back. And even if it was back, for some reason, it wouldn't have any power. Shrug! Eager for more info!
I'm hazy on the condition of the weatherlight, but on the subject of powerstones I have some answers for you.
During timespiral Shiv came back completely unharmed by the last few calamities so they should be able to produce powerstones no problem for the last 60ish years. The weatherlight needed the collapsing plane because it needed the extra power to planeswalk, it was 'functional' as a skyship before hand.
What do you think sagas being a thing means flavor-wise? Do they just represent "retellings" of Dominaria's history? That'd be a bit strange since they have real game effects. But time rifts are gone, right? So how do they work?
I don't recall hearing or reading about the ship being exhumed after that.
It was never mentioned, but given the materials it was made from it could have been salvaged and repaired, since both the wood and metal that was made to use it could "grow"

Gameplay and flavour do not overlap 100%. The sagas is Wizards hitting the nostalgia mark with Dominaria. An entire storyline condesed into card form.
However if you need somwthing more than that, Tamiyo's magic can bring stories to life so there is precedent.

An Umezawa is in the set, and Toshiro's magic in the books was very similar to what Tamiyo does so that might have spread around Dominaria quite a bit
I got excited but then I realized what made him who he was isn't going to be in this iteration of him. No life experiences of sacrifice and struggle, just tales of domination.
The first Darigaaz was my first rare from a pack ever, I still have that exact copy in my Scion Deck..but LORD that new one looks like it is going to be absurdly good.
Agreed regarding Chris Rahn's art being amazing. Castaway's Despair, Angelic Page, the new Yosei... so many others... wow. I hope we see some Rebecca Guay in this set as well.
I am beyond delighted to see an Umezawa again. I wish he was a Wizard with a more relevant effect, and just named Tetsuko Umezawa, evoking his ancestors, but honestly, I can't wait to see his art and get my hands on the card.
I'm just very excited for this set as a whole. Is Bolas holding the Umezawa line?
I think Lilliana will kill her demon, but Bolas's plan was to have her retrieve and ultimately rely on the Chain Veil all along.

Story Spotlight 1: Broken Bond

Story Spotlight 4: In Bolas's Clutches

Broken Bond - no idea what this refers to. It's a Naturalize + drop a land, though
Final Parting - between Jodah and Jaya? Jaya dying / giving her spark somehow to Teferi?
Settle the Score = Liliana kills Belzenlok, OR something with Lim-Dul, if he kills somehow Jaya

OH MY F****G GOD.As it is a blue card, I'd not be surprised if this is the Asian-looking art of the "Narset" woman by Tolaria West.
Apparently Tetsuko means "Lady of Steel" (I did only a quick search, do don't judge me if I got it wrong), so I also think that's very likely.
Just the Umezawa name (which is probably synonymous with "badass who stands up to greater beings" as far as MTG is concerned) has me a lot more invested in her as a character (and how well she will carry that Umezawa name), but also has me worried because of the classic "planeswalkers' limelight overshadows everything else" we've been going through recently. For goodness sake, from the spotlights we know Bolas is somehow involved (might not be major considering Amonkhet/Ixalan were recent and the obvious Ravnica showdown is where the real action will happen since it was spelled out already) and if I don't see Tetsuko involved in some way, then it would be quite the disappointment.
I do understand there are so many legendaries this time round (and they don't even usually cover all of them when there weren't as many), but I really don't want the Umezawa name to be reduced as a cameo on cardboard-only, especially when a major part of Bolas's history is entwined with the name. So daring as I am, I actually will hold some expectations for Tetsuko Umezawa.

I think Broken Bond is going to be referring to the events on Amonkhet. Of Liliana "breaking" her oath to the Gatewatch (mechanically, destroying her oath enchantment), and returning to her homeland (putting a land onto the battlefield).

-ko is a typically feminine ending in Japanese, so yeah, it could indeed be the "Narset" art.
She doesn't exactly look like an unblockable rogue fugitive though.... Was thinking that was art for Naru Meha, which would be funny because it shares the first syllable with Narset's name, which will fuel the hardcore conspiracy theorists.
