I don't know what the beef is with Radha. We've never seen a female Keldon Warlord before. Latulla wasn't one. Sure, she's part elf, part Keldon, but if her life is battle, against big Keldon men no doubt, do you think she'd remain small, lithe Radha from Time Spiral? It's just unrealistic to expect her to still be wearing a ridiculous crop-top with exposed midriff with little muscle mass and be able to defeat and control Keldons.
Oh c'mon let's not talk about getting realistic, i have tons of examples of skinny things destroying muscular brutes on steroid in MTG, let alone the examples of other ridiculous or cumbersome outfits.
Didn't Gideon block a strike from Ulamog? Seems to suggest muscles alone aren't what is pumping up power levels in this universe. Unless someone wants to argue someone of Gideon's size has any chance doing that without magical enhancement.

Yeah, but while the elves in Magic are usually thin and tall, some of them are really muscular (Elvish Berserker, Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, Elvish champion from 7th edition) so i'm not shocked by Radha's body, there is no abnormality with her.
They can make her look however they wish her to look, but she doesn't look like a half elf/half Keldon anymore, she doesn't look muscular, or a berserker she looks like someone who ate a few too many extra helpings of dinner and forgot the Green part of her heritage.
So I'm looking to read the books to catch up with pretty much the whole history of dominaria( I know the basics but id like to know all the small details). Where's the best place to begin
So I'm looking to read the books to catch up with pretty much the whole history of dominaria( I know the basics but id like to know all the small details). Where's the best place to begin
This list is pretty much sequential, so one follows after the other historically in Dominaria.
The Thran will give background on the Thran Empire and its fall, and the rise of Phyrexia. Brothers War will fill you in on the conflict between Urza pre-walker and Mishra. Planeswalker, Time Streams (I think?), and Bloodlines will give a history of Urza and Dominaria during his life. There's also I think a trilogy on the Ice Age (takes place after Brothers War), but I don't recall the names except maybe Gathering Dark. Then there's Rath and Storm that touches slightly on some things in Dominaria and introduces the famous Weatherlight crew. Mercadian Masques is more adventures of the crew in Mercadia, Nemesis is about Rath after Rath and Storm, and Prophecy is about Keldons and Jamuraa. Then Invasion, Planeshift, and Apocalypse all deal with the Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria, and close the Weatherlight saga. Then you have the Odyssey and Onslaught storylines, but I don't recall any of the books except the last one, Scourge, I think. That all takes place on Dominaria and introduces the Cabal. Then after that I think it's Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, and Future Sight, which are about Teferi trying to save Dominaria and the Multiverse from destruction due to time rifts.
There are no doubt a couple I've missed. I remember mostly the ones I've read.

The thing with Raff is, since his card wasnt spoiled in the leak, he either doesnt have a card or its quite boring.
I'll second the Cannon Fodder vote.

Latest spoiled flavor text indicates the demon is taking credit for all the big bads in Dominaria history. Even Lord of the Wastes! The balls on this guy!
But it's also pretty scary from a historical perspective. He's conquering regions and telling them "this is the history" and negating what actually happened. If you destroy a people's past, you wreck their future. If he's successful, he's perpetual demon Lord of Dominaria. Unnerving stuff.
I wonder... maybe Belzenlok's magic revolves around stories becoming real, which is why he is trying to rewrite history.
If so... maybe what Liliana remembers as the deal in her pacts will turn out... not to be. E.g., there's a rider that Belzenlok 'hid' in the contract that says Bolas picks up the lien on her soul if the demons all die.

Well I was VERY wrong with that statement. Turns out he's one of the best AND Uncommon
Also love how Slimefoot was in the weatherlight the whole time and grew into himself.

The funny thing is that Raff beats Danitha in combat in the cards.

Nice...still not a fan of random daughter though. And does imply that Resparked Teferi can cancel the normal aging process.
And again I am really wondering wtf Jodah is doing. Belzenlok wasn't relevant in the past unless they retcon him in so he shouldn't be all that powerful. Thus,I am still confused why the supposed Archmage Eternal who was always dragging Oldwalkers for incompetence and ignoring the little guys decided to do absolutely nothing with all the relevant Oldwalkers off the stage (death, off plane or desparked) while Belzenlok is out collecting dangerous artifacts and conquering the plane. It was Jodah's time to shine and he is going to need one heck of an excuse not to look like the plane's greatest hypocrite. He should be called the Avatar...cause this is one heck of a disappearing act.

I really hope Jodah's been doing something to counter the Cabal. I feel he's grown used to doing things alone, as before Jhoira, the only beings as old as him were Walkers who he has issues with.
From a new Access magic Kelly Digges talks a bit on Belzenlok past, he was involved in something called the war of the abyss and wasn't able to do much in Dominaria until now so he is overcompensating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V6kbbDfl9k

Jodah did that for a long while, after a few centuries he could have "retired" from dealing with "stupid apocalypses" as Dominaria rarely seemed to stay saved.
Looking at the first few story, I'm frankly annoyed that the set is named just Dominaria. You would think that cosnidering its historic value, a set with that name would have a decently epic story, but of course after the disaster that is Ixalan stories, it should have been folly of me to expect such.
I do admit, though, that calling the set something like Belzenlok Uprising or Revenge of the Cabal would've been too spoilery, but come on.....
Flavor text of new Serra Angel says they recall their previous lives like dreams. So does that mean there is angel reincarnation? If so, are Tiana's reactions to the Weatherlight a result of dream-like memory of a previous life? And is the reincarnation limited angel to angel, or human to angel? Interesting.

Retired? He didn't do much when Phyrexia Came Knocking or when the Time Spiral crisis came along...He gave a reason you suck speech to Teferi then got out of dodge. Now there are no Oldwalkers around and mister holier then thou is MIA. Hypocrisy My Name is Jodah.

So where the hell did he come from??
Heck.
He was probably a minor player with all the other baddies aroud. He took this chance to fill a vacuum created by the absense of other players.
