Is there any relationship between the Golgari and the Golgothian Sylex? Like the names seem similar enough that maybe the sylex belonged to the Golgari or something.
They're unrelated. The Golgothian Sylex was a device of unknown origin from Dominaria, but was likely newer that the Golgari guild themselves, who are about 10,000 years old.
We don't know anything about the origins of the Golgothian Sylex. They're just similarly named, like Keld and Kjeld.

Yep. They have a similar etymology, though. But then again, there are hills to die on. (Geddit?)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
