Remember the complaints in the past about planes being the playgrounds of planeswalkers? Well, I guess that's really what a number of them are if you dig deeper into their past.

Oh yeah. Pretty much every plane we visit has a planeswalker past contributing to the modern conditions.
Because of the tribal needs I can see why its just a horror. But omg I love I love this so much. I knew about El Chupacabra before I knew about "Dracula vampires", my mom threaten to toss me outside to be eaten by one when I won't go to bed at night (along with La Llorona).

I'm not sure I buy the Ugin theory. The best note is that Ugin fits very well into a Quetzalcoatl (sp?) / Lawgiver... wait... Most of what I know of Mesoamerican mythology comes from a fairly obscure game called Dominions 4, but... this is interesting in the extreme. That could fit into the whole 'Ugin is Azor' thing, but I doubt all of this.
It does make sense, though, that the originator of the guilds in Ravnica and the Guildpact would be above colored mana. OTOH, Niv-Mizzet is the original Izzet parun. As such, shouldn't he be able to remember Azor? And I don't think that this works out.
OTOOH, Azor (being not Ugin) as Lawgiver figure on Ixalan would be... very interesting. A WU PW who travels the planes instituting law everywhere? Sounds feasible.
The Azor connection to Jace is obvious in that he is the Living Guildpact. The Ugin connection is something closer to, 'Can you go anywhere without messing everything up, Beleren?'

That's an excellent point, but to be fair, I would argue that it's actually realistic. For tens of thousands of years, you had godlike Oldwalkers running all over the Multiverse. At this point, I'd be surprised if you could find a plane that wasn't partly or totally shaped by the actions of one or more planeswalkers in the past.

Zendikar, Innistrad, Amonkhet, Tarkir, Dominaria and Mirrodin/New Phyrexia are all obvious. Native walkers were involved in at least half of these, and the latter was straight-up created by a walker.
Alara might have been broken apart by a walker, and Crucius might have also been a walker.
Ravnica's race diversity is a result of planeswalker battles (IIRC), and Azor might have been one.
Shandalar had its fair share of run-ins with walkers.
This is if we're strictly talking about Oldwalker influence. Lorwyn-Shadowmoor, Theros and Kaladesh currently have no known ties to Oldwalker shenanigans, IIRC. Urza basically wanted to shape Equilor, but they were having none of it.
In addition to the Ugin theory, I've seen an idea that Ugin might once have been Naya colors, but he somehow purged himself of them, creating the threefold sun.
Just a bit of speculation based off the new enchantment Legion's Landing // Adonto, the First Fort flavor text: There is a (vampire) queen of the Legion of Dusk. I am interested to know more about her, and wonder if she will be a player in Rivals of Ixalan. Either she'll be revealed as already in the 'new world' having arrived disguised as a captain, or they'll use the 'ruler needs to get their hands dirty' trope and she'll arrive, for the first time on the continent, in full force to claim the Immortal Sun. Either way, hope we get to learn more of her.
I do like the idea of the Legion of Dusk's queen becoming involved, only I would posit that such a choice would come at a "Return to Ixalan" set. From a storytelling standpoint, having the current conquistadors acting in an 'expedition force' style allows for us to focus the story here, in this continent, without needing to cross the sea back east.
It would be similar to how in the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, there was just a mention of the East India Company as a bit of background fluff, only to have them be larger antagonists/movers and shakers in the subsequent films.
A story that focuses on Huatli, basically her origins story. Also Angrath is a minotaur planeswalker!

This wasnt as good as last weeks but it was decent. Huatli reminded me of how Nissa was portrayed during BFZ. Not Ashaya levels thankfully but it got tiresome hearing how much she wants to be the warrior poet or how much everyone loves her. I still dont see what makes her Boros. The bit with the golden city was smart though and I liked that.

The emperor said this
"The Sun expresses itself in three aspects. Creativity, destruction, and sustenance. Your gifts have been lit by the first two, and it seems as if you must explore the last.”
So from her cultural magic she mastered the red and white aspects just not the green onnes yet.

I just had a crazy thought. This new Minotaur Planeswalker's name is too close to Tahngarth, Talruum Hero to be a coincidence. I bet that he's from Dominaria and that by escaping Ixalan, the 'protection' protecting Dominaria will collapse, giving access to the plane once more.
The bit where she mistook Ghirapur for Orazka was both hilarious from our perspective and a genius bit of storytelling. Also Angrath is amazing. Not just because he's our first minotaur planeswalker, but because his fighting style is basically the same as Ghost Rider's, but with a pirate ship instead of a motorcycle.
So being stuck on Ixalan (or whatever the actual plane is called, i forget) isn't just a Jace thing- ALL the Walkers are stuck there. I guess it makes sense, given that Project Lightning Bug found Vraska's walk went completely off the grid. Be interesting to see what's causing it (although I think the city of gold would have something to do with it?)
I'm glad we're getting more of these planeswalker-spark stories. And yes, it was brilliant for her to walk to Kaladesh, see "the city of gold", get pulled back, and COMPLETELY misinterpret it. Boy, is she gonna be in for a shock when she finds out the truth.
I like what @Druidiana said, too. Angarth does sound like a Dominarian minotaur's name. Which ties in rather nicely to where we might be going next.
"The Sun expresses itself in three aspects. Creativity, destruction, and sustenance. Your gifts have been lit by the first two, and it seems as if you must explore the last.”

I thought the same but I am not sure this makes much sense from the things we've seen so far. The sun's expressions are obviously White, Red and Green, going back to the dino avatars and all that. Thing is, these expressions the emperor mentions are really red and green. Creativity is Red and so is Destruction. Sustenance is obviously Green. So where is the white?
Huatli has two magics we have seen so far. She can summon and communicate with dinosaurs and can enhance her voice which I assume is a part of her being an orator? Sort of Tamiyo but with speach instead of stories? That would be pretty awesome.
Perhaps I am being too hasty to judge. I'll reserve judgement until we see more of Huatli but so far it seems to me somebody mixed Huatli's and Samut's color alignments.
There are only two types of poems in the world. Poems that are good, and poems that are honest
My experience suggest that there is a third type of poem, the "I don't need to study because I'm an artist and I use free verse because thats what modern poetry looks like. You didn't like my poem only because you have a cold heart, it was full of emotions, it was overflowing with emotion!" type of poem.
When I saw the image of Kaladesh during Huatli's walk, I thought she managed to get out and only Jace couldn't leave but I was wrong. Also seemed weird that there was a minotaur on Ixalan but it turned out he is also a planeswalker.
This story raised a bunch of questions then answered them. I don't have much else to add lol. The story was decent world-building and I enjoyed it.
I too enjoyed Angrath's fighting style; as soon as the chains were involved, I was hooked. Def got flashbacks of Chainer, and for a planeswalker to use this style too is awesome. Looking forward to seeing more of Angrath.
As for the rest, def not bad, and as others have said, I also enjoyed her mistaking Kaladesh as the city of gold.

Yes, I was kind of confused as well. If anything Red or Green should be creativity, but I guess they didn't want to mess the Naya order.
Given that Kaladesh gives inspiration to Green, maybe there is meant to be a distinction between Green/White's creation of life vs Red's art.
Destruction could be white in this case. In fact wakening sun's avatar "destroys" all non-dinosaur creatures. White has long been associated with mass destroy effects.
That would mean red=creativity, white=destruction, and green=sustenance.
