well I'm just talking about regular illusions. Not the creature type.
The creature type would DEFINITELY not fall under the "mind magic" label.
As it is, illusion spells only fall under mind magic "half" the time.
Correct. Illusions (non-creature) can be achieved either through mental manipulation (what your brain sees), or by manipulating light (what your eyes see).
Safe to say that Jace practices the first type. This is the kind of thing I'd actually like to see brought up in books, mages discussing the finer points of magic, comparing different methods to achieve the same effect, etc. Examining some of the "nuts and bolts" of spellcasting.
It would look quite wierd if Jace beleren the card showed up on zendikar and not the new one. That would be jace's umpteenth reprint of the first one.
Yeah some major event happens to the walkers that make them change. When Sarkhan Vol gets reprinted he will be a nastier more evilly corrupted version due to the fact that he was corrupted but Nicol Bolas. Same with garruk, he was bewitched by lilliana and the new card for garruk will show that. The only one that wont really change is Ajani because he is goldmane and has not gone through changes besides his earlier version of himself before became goldmane
Bah! Teferi was an imbecile and I'm glad I won't see him again. I was so happy when I found out he had to pay with his Spark, but honestly, I'd be even more happy if the Rift just killed him.
I want a new character with similar powers, but this time no neo-version of a pre-Mending planeswalker like Elspeth, Chandra or Tezzeret. I want someone with entirely different personality than Teferi had.
Oh, but he is not dead, and still quite long lived. Any visit to Domanaria that isn't a million years in the future will likely see him there as well. But overall, I thought his character was best when he was the young kid playing pranks on people, and not the old walker playing pranks on people.

I seem to be one of not so many that actually liked Teferi (during Invasion and Pre-Invasion, not Time Spiral).
But wouldn't any time mage come off as another Teferi?, without the pranks probably.
I really want to see Parcher though..

Actually, as long as the personalities are different, I don't think any comparisons will be made. The only problem some people have with new characters is that they seem like the lite version of some of the oldwalkers.

I always had a fun little theory that Teferi ended up becoming headmaster of Tolaria West since he knows all too well what Time Magic does.
That's just one of my pet theories though.
Well if Garruk really is bewitched by Lilianna, I would love to see a Green-Black version of him. I think they could make that quite powerful.
Conversely, I think it would be equally fitting to see him cured, and go GW.

Seeing as how Green would then lose its iconic PW in exchange for Nissa, I'd say that's highly unlikely (though not impossible).
The way we've been introduced to Garruk and his backstory, it seems that he despises anything not inherently green. Even the notion of co-habitating w/ other non-beast entities is repulsive to him. A GB Garruk would mean he'd have to succumb to the disease Liliana put on him--something I doubt he'd ever consider.
I'm with Barinellos on this one. I think Garruk will remain mono-Green for quite a while.
I just can't wait 'til Garruk meets w/ an animal he can't commune with. I think it'll do a lot for his development if he meets something in nature that he may believe to be an honest beast, but is more akin to a human. Then again, now that I've actually written that sentence, it seems they've given that avenue to Sarkhan.

Also, Parcher is a lunatic and I hope he's dead

And conversely conversely, I think if cured, he'll be... y'know, just G.
