Im not saying this is true, but isnt it possible that mishra could have somehow become a plainswalker...
i know everyone says he is dead for many reasons but has it ever been confirmed that he was dead???
is it possible mishra is in some different plane secretly gathering an army of slivers and mak-fawas???
i know this probably isnt true but i just want to know if it is possible...
also what happened to the power stones after urza died???
Although it's not likely canon in any way, it probably bears mention that in Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds (The Xbox/PC game that no one except me thought was any good), Mishra refers to himself as a god and (I believe) is called a planeswalker at some point or other.

- We were careful not to refer to the Mishra construct in the Battlegrounds game as a planeswalker. If you watch the cinematic of his death closely, you'll see that he has a metal endoskeleton. He was basically a rogue sleeper. (Not that Battlegrounds should be taken as canon, but we didn't do it thoughtlessly, either.)
- Jeff Lee's site was very good and I admire and appreciate his enthusiasm. But where there were gaps or conflicts in continuity, he appears to have often filled them in with material or explanations of his own invention. I wouldn't assume everything at his site is authoritative.
- I can think of at least one other possibility for Mishra's story, which involves replacing the word "killed" in possibility #2. No, I'm not suggesting that such a possibility is the correct one. For now, Mishra's fate intentionally has some unknown elements.
If Mishra is still alive, either as a planeswalker, Phyrexian (even as a compleated phyrexian, he need not actually be allied with Phyrexia, he could be rogue or something), or some other way, and he were to come into the storyline again, do you think he would be a protagonist or antagonist? It's been my theory that Mishra was not necessarily evil, just simply misguided. Both Ashnod and the Priests of Gix helped him make his decisions, and often influenced him greatly. After all this time, do you think he would still be plotting to steal the Mightstone and Weakstone, or would he be ready to make ammends with his brother (if Urza comes back as well) and help fight Phyrexia (or whoever the antagonists are)? I would like to see Mishra return, either as a protagonist or antagonist. I'm not sure if he would be a 'walker though, but that could be interesting.

Good Lord, please STOP confusing the terms "planeswalker" and "plainswalker".
Plainswalker is a Graceful Antelope. Planeswalker is a godlike being...;)
Btw...if I have read the Heroes of History update thoroughly: The rift-born persons have "branched" from their original fates, creating a future alternate versions of them, right?. For most of them it does not matter at all, because they were mortals and died long, long ago.
But there is still a possibility of Jaya Ballard, Task Mage meeting Jaya Ballard Planeswalker, or even the ascension of the rift-born Jaya (she has still the dormant spark).
What would happen then was discussed elsewhere ;).

Its also possible that Time Spiral will rewrite some of magic's history. It was never set in stone, except maybe the stuff in the novels themselves, and things have been changed before.
Besides, this is a momentous occasion in magic!
