So assuming I have a Homura, Human Ascendant and an opponent plays a Clone of it, what would happen on its death? What about if they clone a Erayo, Soratami Ascendant (can it flip?)? I am just trying to get an idea of how clones work with flip cards.
Really I am interested in Homura who has a graveyard interaction but I am also interested in flip effects that happen in play. Just trying to understand how clones work with this stuff.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

Unlike with DFC's there is nothing stopping a clone copying a flip card from 'flipping'.
With clone Homura, the game will see Homura has been sent to the graveyard and will trigger accordingly and return the clone card to the battlefield flipped. In most cases this will not make much difference to the clone unless you choose to copy another flip card like Homura or Erayo where you will get the flipped version of the card so you would end up with Homura's Essence / Erayo's Essence.
If you chose to clone Erayo, Soratami Ascendant you also get her triggered ability so if 4 spells are cast in a turn she would also flip and become Erayo's Essence.
