Does Mirari's Wake get around the restriction Infernal Darkness creates? I realize that the extra mana comes from the Wake so Infernal doesn't limit it when it's generated, but the way I read it the Wake could not generate anything other than black mana since the Infernal's replacement effect dictates the lands can't produce non-black mana.
This was an issue in a MTGO Commander game, the rules engine allowed the Wake player to generate any color mana from the Wake while Infernal was out. I believe it's a bug, but I'd like to make sure before reporting it.
No, it doesn't. Infernal Darkness has a replacement effect that causes mana abilities of lands to produce instead of any other type. Mirari's Wake's triggered ability will trigger and add one mana of any type that land produced to your mana pool - which was :symb:.

Wake gives you 1 mana of any of the colors that the land produced. Most lands only produce a single mana, so you get two mana of the same color. Some lands (such as the Ravnica Karoos) produce multiple colors at once, and Wake gives you the option of getting two of one color and one of the other color.
Infernal Darkness changes things so that no matter what, tapping a land for mana gives you exactly :symb:. Wake then gives you a second :symb:.

That's not entirely accurate. Infernal Darkness only changes the color of the mana produced. It doesn't change the amount. From the Gatherer rulings:
10/1/2008: This effect changes the type of mana produced, but not the amount. For example, if a land that's tapped for mana would add {W}{W} to its controller's mana pool, it adds {B}{B} to that player's mana pool instead.
