Am I correct in assuming that if I have a Knowledge Pool out, and I curse someone with Curse of Exhaustion, they essentially can't cast spells for the rest of the game? The way I think it works is this-
Player A has been cursed, and Knowledge Pool is on the field. Player A attempts to cast a spell, but Knowledge Pool throws it into the Pool. He then is allowed to cast something from the Pool, but because of Curse of Exhaustion, he can't cast a 2nd spell this turn, meaning that (because it is a may effect) he can't bring anything out of the pool.
You're correct for the reasons you stated. When a player enchanted by Curse of Exhaustion casts a spell from his or her hand with Knowledge Pool on the battlefield, that spell gets exiled by the Pool, and then they can't cast a spell from the Pool because of the Curse.
