W,T : You may play the exiled card without paying its mana cost if you attacked with three or more creatures this turn.
If I attack with three Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, will his triggered ability cause me to take an extra turn? I'm not 100% sure whether I'm casting him if I do this, since it doesn't say "cast" and the Hideaway lands can be used to put lands into play as well. I also know that these lands were printed before the M10 update that brought back the phrase "cast".
If someone could shed some light, I'd appriciate it.
The term "play" here, as a verb, means either "cast", if the card is a spell, or "play" if the card is a land. So you will indeed be casting Emrakul. It doesn't say "cast" simply because you could use it to play a land, and lands can't be cast.

If your question is "What would a judge do is this situation?", only one person's answer is relevant, and that is the Head Judge at your event. I can quote the rules, but I don't know your HJ.
Since the land says "you may play", you are in fact casting the spell. The only reason it actually still uses the term play is because you cant "cast" a land if you happened to exile one of them.
W may only be paid with white mana. U may only be paid with blue mana. B may only be paid with black mana. R may only be paid with red mana. G may only be paid with green mana. C may only be paid with colorless mana. 1 may be paid with white, blue, black, red, green, or clolorless mana.
You are indeed casting emrakul in this case. The activated ability states that if the condition is met then you can 'play' this card without paying it's mana cost, thats the same thing as saying you can cast this card without paying it's mana cost. So emrakul's ability will trigger and you'll get an extra turn.
With somewhat older cards when you look them up alot of the times there is the card text and the most recent translation of what it says. For Windbrisk it says cast without paying its cost.

The wording on Windbrisk heights has not changed, it still uses the nonspefic 'play' as opposed to 'cast' as it is possible to stick a land under it and have that pop out at odd times.
The posters above have the correct explanation in the case of windbrisk heights and the other hideaway lands play is synonymous with cast and will trigger anything worded accordingly.
